Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just okay but nothing special This was our first time staying at this brand but don't know if we will stay again. We thought the price was high for the area and for what we received. When arriving at the hotel, there was no one at the check in desk and it was several minutes before someone came out to get us checked in. We paid an additional $15 per night for the breakfast option and at check in we were only given 2 vouchers even though there were two of us and we were staying for 2 nights. Each voucher was only good for a maximum breakfast cost of $13 so in other words we paid $15 additional dollars per night and received $13 per night in breakfast vouchers. Not only this but everything on the breakfast menu was between $10-$13 and coffee or juice was an additional $2-$3 so not even one person could have a breakfast based on the voucher amount. My suggestion is DO NOT pay additional money to purchase the breakfast option. There are many options outside of the hotel and the room did have a mini fridge and microwave so we could have also brought in our own breakfast had we known the deal. This said, the staff in the restaurant were wonderful and the food was good. We are platinum members and were recognized as such during check in, however the room we were given was right next to the elevator so there was a lot of noise at all hours. Also the wall thermostat did not work in controlling the AC and even though the note in the room stated to only use the wall thermostat we had to actually use the controls on the wall unit in order for it to work. In the bathroom there are detailed instruction on how to turn on the shower, and even with this it was very difficult to do and we had to attempt it multiple times. Now I am sorry but if the shower is so complicated that written instructions need to be left for guests, then I feel the hotel needs to change their fixtures. While attempts at updates to the room were made, it was really superficial. The bathroom looked tired, kitchenette area needed updating and the room definitely needed more outlets. Having said this, the room was VERY large. 21 December 2014

The receptionist took charge and contacted everyone necessary to re-establish our reservation and even get us an early check-in. She went above and beyond diligent! 27 November 2014
