Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent room, average gym, confusing bill Excellent room and comfortable bed. Pillows have a label indicating either firm or soft, but in practice no difference at all (too soft indeed). Insufficient equipments at gym, and one of the two treadmills was unavailable. While checking out, too confusing bill, might be a problem for business travellers who need to report expenses clearly. Very well located in one of the best regions in Santo Domingo. Overall experience however was quite nice! 25 March 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good business hotel, hotel bill unclear Perfect hotel to stay for business. During check-out we spend a lot of time trying to understand our hotel bill. The bill consist of a lot of lines and then it's hard to understand the total price per night in line with the price. Minor detail, so that's probably a good thing in overall, but irritatating when you have to go to the airport in a hurry. 03 March 2014

But the first room i had was so noisy that i had to ask for a new one. Staff nicely & quickly found a new room for me this room was much better (higher floor). 25 February 2014

I went for dinner and after waiting for almost an hour I decided to leave before the food arrived. Menu selection is not wide enough--and the menu had not changed in almost one year. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pampered for three days I have stayed at Holiday Inn Santo Domingo many times, but this one was quite different. I was supposed to arrive on Wednesday morning, but I was staying at another hotel in Boca Chica where I got sick and had to leave a day earlier. I went to a private hospital where they fixed my problem and since I was not going to return to Boca Chica for the doctors had prescribed full rest, I talked to Holiday Inn to arrive a day before I was expected. Fortunately they had rooms for that night and allowed me to arrive on tuesday. Since they were aware of my health problem, they upgraded me, prepared some special food to care of the doctor's indications, and from that day until I left, three nights after, all the staff of the hotel would inquire about my health every time they saw me. I really feel that all the care from the staff helped me to feel better every hour. I am really grateful for that experience. Thank you! 27 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service bad facilities hours All the employees are kind and friendly. My only concern is the facilities hours. No bar service after 11pm and the lounge ( the one you have to pay extra to use it) closes at 10 pm. This is very inconvenient if you are on business travel and need some space to meet with clients after dinner. Another detail is one of the treadmill at the gym has been damaged for more than 6 month. With this fixed, this hotel is the best in Santo Domingo for business travel. 25 January 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Holiday Inn Santo Domingo Located in the best area of Santo Domingo. Good for shopping and local restaurants. Very clean and spacious room. Excellent pool and gym & sauna located on the roof area. Staff were excellent & very helpful. I have stayed at other hotels in Santo Domingo and I consider this the best hotel I have stayed with great value for money. 19 January 2014

The staff service is excellent, this goes for all, from customer services, telephone operator, front desk (especially Laura and FD Manager Carla), restaurant staff. The gym needs to be updated as some machines are frequently out of service. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay in Santo Domingo I have been to SDQ many times over the last few years but always stayed at the Intercontinental which is now the Crowne Plaza to earn Intercontinental stay credits. Since the brand changed I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn which I found to be a beautiful property. It is smaller but also newer and very chic. Urpi in the coffee was sweetheart, I enjoyed having a daily coffee there and also enjoyed the friendly reception by Urpi. 21 November 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Underwhelmed Continuous loud, ambient music in this hotel is tiresome. Management ignored two requests to turn down blaring music at pool when I was only one there. Nobody mentioned the motion sensor that shuts off power to room when you leave, ensuring the alarm will flash 12 continually and your presumably charging laptop and devices will be dead when you return. Printer wasn't working on checkout. Despite assurances, had to search for hotel's email and beg for invoice so I could expense. Invoice finally arrived days later and was someone else's. The folio indicated a charity contribution I was not asked to approve. Manager refused to remove it from my (I assume it's my?) bill. Someone else's name is on my receipt. Not worth the effort. I'll be staying elsewhere next time. 18 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly, professional & personable staff As platinum Ambassador I was upgraded to a great room with two exceptions: faced the street and windows not effective in cutting out street noise, and wireless internet service was very poor with poor connectivity and slow response time even though was on the upgraded package. Front desk staff were exceptional - best service I have experienced in the IHG hotel network this year and that includes the Intercontinentals that I frequently stay at. A good value and good location for my business activities, but really needs to improve upon wireless system as critical to my needs. 13 November 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Staff and Service The staff and the service were disappointment. Even that I had my corporate id rate on file they were not able to add my benefits. I had to provide a print screen of my corporate rate benefits (breakfast, upgrade, etc) because they didn't believe me. Never will stay again. I recommend stay at Hilton. 30 October 2013

I travel all around Latin America twice a year in most cases among the IHG hotels (When available IE: Brasilia, Nassau) and the service in Holiday Inn Santo Domingo is the best have ever seen, I specially recall the name of Julio, faster than Flash and always ready to take care of all my possible needs. I even got back an Armani sunglasses I dropped at the swimming pool area. I felt very welcome during my stay. Congratulations! 02 October 2013

Room was adequate. Staff was generally very efficient and friendly. Some basics should be improved, e.g. conditioner in the bathroom, better hair dryer, breakfast included in the rate. 24 September 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by modern, convenient and overall a must when staying in Santo Domingo. We are a small family and we needed a hotel that was the most centric possible in the city. Holiday Inn fulfills that requirement and more. Food can be expensive at the hotel so might want to try the many restaurants around the hotel. Pool its kind of small (On the roof) but the views from the top are beautiful. Overall it was a wonderful stay for us. 02 September 2013

I rate the restaurant and service excellent and the fresh fruits and juices served were delicious. However, I think they need a different menu and type of cooked food served for better flavors. I was disappointed with the manner of cooking the items on the menu and at the breakfast buffet. The choose-your-own omelet choices were bland, the pastries hard and dry, though the desserts were good.. I ended up eating the hard boiled eggs and toast with jam. Other than the food, everything about the hotel was outstanding. They were accommodating to get your taxi and give directions to the bank and anything else you can ask for. 23 August 2013
