We took our two oldest grandchildren, both in high school, to Washington, D.C. and New York City during their Easter break . The Holiday Inn, Secaucus Meadowlands was the perfect place to take them. The suite was comfortable for all 4 of us, the room rates were affordable, the location was great for transportation to/from NYC, the staff was very accommodating, the hotel had clean laundry facilities,

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Aaron89 good location, starting to cut back amenities
This hotel is a great location for north Jersey and for quick access to NYC. There are also a lot of restaurants around the hotel, chipotle, chili's, buffalo wild wings, red robin, houlihans. I stay at this hotel for work a lot and in the last two months it seems they are starting to tighten the belt on expenses. They used to have a decent restaurant at the hotel which was great for when it's cold out, but they have cut the menu back to some basic food only. Burgers etc. Also the last two times I've been there I haven't gotten my bill under my door the night I leave, so I have to stop at the desk. Lastly I think they have cut back on the breakfast service staff. They used to have two people working now it is 1. I'll still use this hotel a lot, but now I'm looking at the other hotel options near by for my work travel.

I think you should have better customer service trained staff for breakfast service that can understand when being asked questions by guests. I personally found the breakfast staff to be rude. Not having a greeter at the breakfast service time also seemed to add to the chaos of large groups and single individuals trying to figure out exactly what was available. Having 2 different buffets set up at the same time without direction from staff as to who used which one was annoying. Would stay at hotel again but found myself leaving hotel in morning after first breakfast experience to eat elsewhere.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Rooms are dirty and the elevator wakes you up in the middle of the night if you are near it.
