Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Old torn furniture and no hot water 1) We went to Skokie to attend a funeral which we had to be there at 9:15 am. That morning we did not have hot water, and had to take cold sponge baths. This is not acceptable. Upon complaining our bill was reduced 35% and we were given two breakfast vouchers, but I feel that this inconvenience warranted more of an adjustment. This was a major problem for us. 2)Upon returning from the funeral dinner at 4 pm we found that our rooms had not been cleaned up yet, and neither had our brothers room next door. The cleaning lady came around 4:45. Again, not acceptable when we pay to have a clean room to relax in. When I complained at the front desk I was told that the cleaners had until 5:30 to clean 80 rooms, and that if I had wanted it cleaned earlier that I should have booked it with the front desk. Not my fault that you do not have adequate staffing to have clean rooms. Never have I had a 2 day stay to come back in the afternoon and not be able to use my room. No compensation for this problem. 3) The desk chair and the sofa which badly needed to be recovered both had 3 inch tears in the upholstery/ Very disappointing and unsatisfactory stay. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room was very clean Housekeeping and front desk staff were great and so was the Bar Louie Staff. Other than that, the place was a pit. I got double charged and have to dispute with credit card company because management is very unprofessional and rude, not to mention deceitful. I am not anxious to give any more money to this hotel at all! August 27, 2015

Room very comfortable. busy street to enter and exit. Did not eat in the hotel as one of my favorite restaurants is adjacent to the hotel. Rate was reasonable for Chicago. Free parking. Free internet although could not get my new pc to connect. Old one connected fine. Obviously a problem with my PC, not with the FREE internet. Offered me 2pm checkout if I wanted it. Wish I could have but had a morning meeting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! August 25, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value for Chicago Area ! I was very impressed with your hotel. I expected a much smaller hotel. Despite the hotel hosting a class reunion and other events we had a very smooth relaxing experience. The value compared to a hotel closer to downtown or in downtown Chicago was fantastic. The Bar Louie restaurant/bar was very nice. We will be back. August 23, 2015
