Reception staff on arrival where very courteous and attentive checked in very quickly. Food is also good from the restaurant

I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.the hotel was presented with clean surroundings. There was a plastic bag in the foyer outside the lift door, but this was probably a litter problem by a guest as opposed to staff being negligent. Good hotel.

The staff in reception always need more help as you have to wait to be served on most occasions also when ringing reception from the room to order a Taxi the phone would ring without answer giving the impression the staff are to busy to answer.

I have been visiting this hotel for roughly two years and it was only due to proximity to my destination. However I have noticed the huge improvement in the upgraded bathrooms. I also find the food, although slightly expensive, to be of a reasonably good standard for his kind of hotel. Staff in general friendly. Now just hoping for an upgrade of the gym and the foyer.

I generally rave about the standards set by IHG and there hotels, however this was a visit we want to forget.
From the minute we arrived it was destined to be one of those trips.
The car park lift entrance was locked and nobody answered the bell so we consequently had to walk around to reception with luggage and 2 very tired little boys.
When received at the restaurant we were pushed to have the buffet and told we needed to get our own drinks because "they had no staff and time to do this" we had to make up our own table to accommodate our group size. then we were told it was 30mins to wait for food ordered off of the menu. The general feel was that we must have the buffet to relieve the pressure on the staff.
The buffet breakfast was good but there were things missing , no eggs for instance and when approached the staff seemed to roll their eyes. the restaurant was still dirty from the night before and again we had to make up our own table.
I hate being negative but this was truly the worst experience i have ever had with IHG.
Dont let it deter you though i am sure this is an acception.
