Also cannot believe what the hotel wanted to charge for WiFi especially when most Crowne Plaza's are Free. Not the Best Hotel Experience. 25 February 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing special but... In the end it's just a Holiday Inn in Slough so if you're here it's most likely that you're either working nearby or visiting Legoland. It's ideally suited if you're driving as it's close to the M4 and the bedrooms have been recently refurbished. I had to stay in the hotel for many weeks in 2011 and have just been recently back. My first thought of the place was it was nothing special. Rooms were fine but not outstanding (which is what you expect from Holiday Inn - the nicer rooms are in Crowne Plaza or InterContinental), I got a good nights sleep and that's what I was after. The staff really made the difference though. When I had a problem with internet access the manager spent plenty of time working on the problem until the issue was resolved, when I noticed the bar had no decent British beers a quick chat with the bar manager fixed that, the staff certainly wanted to go the extra mile when possible. 12 February 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location from Heathrow and good rooms. Hotel staff were professional and room was very good. Very convenient spot since I had to be in Slough the following morning . I arrived in terminal 1 of Heathrow airport in the evening and it was snowing.Taxi service was also great but quite expensive. It would be really helpful if the hotel had a shuttle service to and from Heathrow airport, since they are not that far. Besides that I have nothing to complain about. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tired Stayed here for a couple of nights, gym was small. Only 1 bike, 1 treadmill and 1 rowing machine. Down button for lift didn't work and fachia was broken, so had to press up to go down. Staff were ok, however check-in weren't very friendly. Got the impression it was all about quick turnover regardless there was no one behind me waiting Said I'd been upgraded due to Platinum, hope I wasn't, because if I stayed in an exec the other rooms must be like prison cells. 22 January 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid Food service Staff are friendly, but take no action upon addressing concerns to them. The gym is no more than three cardio machines. Great to have, but at peak times, unable to use with so many people waiting to use them. Food selection and quality is poor, overpriced and not cooked/served in a timely fashion. The restaurant does not have enough waitress staff available at breakfast, meaning you are waiting for a period to be seated and served your hot drink of choice. Location of this hotel is ideal for serving Bath Rd in Slough, but you will need to leave the hotel for quality dining, meaning your are not able to arrive and relax at the hotel. 13 January 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing ! On the good points the hotel room rate was good. The rooms and hotel were clean and tidy and the staff very friendly and helpfull. on the bad points. The hotel had a big banner saying it had been recenly updated up I could not see much evidence off this. The bathrooms was clean but the funiture had marks and scatches all over it and a stain in the bath had been badly covered up with a glued in bath mat. The hotel menu was limited and a lot of items that were on the menu were not available. Even after the waiter had advised what was not available, the item I had requested was also not available. The update was done to a poor standard with things like screws hanging out of hinges. The heater in the room either did not work or very complicated. This hotel is not up to the usal holiday inn standard. 11 January 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Below Standard Compared to other Holiday Inns that I have stayed in, this one was below standard. The hotel charges £5 per car for parking but the exit barrier was not in operation so the car park was not secure. We booked a family room for 3 but the room was only made up for 2. We had to ask for extra towels, tea and coffee etc. One carton of UHT milk was so old it was solid. Replacement cartons curdled the tea. It was not very inspiring. The soap dispenser over the bath was empty, which was only discovered when under the shower and unable to reach the alternative dispenser by the sink. The sink was very cracked and old looking. There was a good choice for breakfast and you could eat as much as you wanted. However, the waitress did not offer refills of tea/coffee - it would have been better if the facilities were provided so that you could help yourself. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable. 10 January 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast and hot water Everything about the hotel was good and on the whole breakfast was good. However, on the 1st morning of our stay we arrived at the brasserie for breakfast and we were asked to go downstairs to the bar area . We were told that the food was the same as upstairs in the main dining area. We went down assuming this would be the case. However, the coffee in the pots was cold, there were no croissants in all the time we were having breakfast, I went upstairs to the main dining room to get some. The hot breakfast items were not hot and bread for toasting was not replenished. We also saw a lot of tables with uncleared breakfast dishes all the time we were eating breakfast. Whenever food was running low it took a long time for the member of staff who was on duty in the bar area to get more of that food item. On the 1st morning the hot water ran out halfway through my husband having a shower and he had to boil the kettle in order to have a shave. 07 November 2012

Room fantastic, family room consisted of 2 double beds - much better than the usual hotel sofa bed. Lovely facilities in room, no complaints what so ever. Breakfast buffet also included. This was not so good! Food was on the cold side. Plently of choice and good continental selection. Although cheese provided for continental breakfast was cheddar - bit odd! Would reccomend this hotel if you get a good value for money price. 07 November 2012

My bookings explicitly state "Bed & breakfast"... so I was a little put out on this occasion, when the hotel tried to charge me for breakfast! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Platinum elite member takes his family away and gets disappointed I booked this holiday inn as a base for Legoland windsor during the halloween special. This hotel is apparently a recent refurbishment, rooms were of a decent standard, however the heating unit failed to work properly during the coldest weekend of the year. The restaurant were offering a fixed three course buffet style menu due to the amount of families staying for the same reason, my wife and I preferred to order from the standard menu and had to wait 40 minutes for our meals when the kitchen was hardly busy, and the first into the restaurant. quality of the wifi service is poor, and when queried with reception was passed onto the provider by the staff - annoying but the only way to get a resolution. generally a very poor experience from a brand that is normally a pleasure. 03 November 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Value for money We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn at Slough Windsor, we got a fantatic super saver price and was a little apprehensive about the hotel because of this. Well we were proven very wrong. The hotel has just under gone a huge refurbishment, the family room was clean and spacious. The room rate include a fantasic full English and continental breakfast for all four of us. Would definately stay again and recommend. 14 October 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff Ten of us stayed for our grandson Dyllans 8th birthday. We were made so welcome. We asked if a cake we brought with us and ballon could be put on breakfast table. The hotel was really busy but the staff and management sang happy birthday when bringing the cake out and also gave Dylan a card and a gift. This was totally unexpected and we were overwhelmed. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for legoland stop overs! I stayed at the hotel with my son after visiting the nearby Legoland park! It was located close to the park (a short cab ride) and was within walking distance to the train station for an easy trip into London. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. For the price of the room and the meal I was extremely happy with the hotel facilities and the room. Couldn't have asked for better!! 12 October 2012

Staff pleasant though gave us wrong key and room number so we woke some poor lady up-Doh!! Breathtaking views of the A355 and roundabout. Avoided very expensive breakfast. Room clean, shower powerful and warm though stupid functions. Left happy and about as good as you could expect. 07 October 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Its what you expect Having stayed here before the refurbishment I can honestly say this is money well spent. The rooms are well decorated and very clean. The hotel is up to the normal Holiday Inn standard. The resturant was at best average, service was attentive ( a little too attentive) but the food was nothing special and not worth the money. The breakfast was plentiful but I have two major gripes (its the same in all hotels not just this one) when will you guys learn that a cheap sausage is awful to eat and when will you ever learn how to make coffee. I have drunk some pretty foul tasting brews in my life but this one is one of the foulest. CHANGE YOUR COFFEE SUPPLIER. All things said this is a nice hotel with good staff and nice rooms, just dont eat the sausages or drink the coffee. 05 October 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Awful night We have written a separate on-line complaint after being disturbed for most of the night by a very unsavoury incident outside our room involving uninvited guests. The incident took from 3.00am to 6.00am to resolve and involved your manager and his security and later the police. We made a complaint that morning and the manager refunded our booking but the lack of sleep and it's affect on my family spoilt the enjoyment of our Saturday. Despite the hotel claiming to have been refurbished the bathroom in room 304 was disgusting with the sink tap broken and very difficult to use, the sink cracked, the surround very grubby and the bath stained. 28 September 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient to Heathrow,a great stay and a view of Windsor Castle! We stayed twice, once after our arrival in London and the night before we flew out. The hotel is close enough to Heathrow to avoid traffic problems, but far enough away that there is no noise. It's easy to find, has a secure car park and there's a handy Murco fuel station a couple of blocks away to get petrol before you return the hire car (also has a Barclay's ATM machine#. The staff were really helpful. Since we weren't going to be there long enough to use the laundry service, the nice lady at the front desk #Anika?) got us directions to a self-service laundromat. The rooms were spotless, the beds great, a real comfy chair, good towels, etc. All you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The added treat was the view of Windsor Castle on our first night there. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight stay for Legoland visit I stayed at this hotel for one night with my partner and 2 small children after a visit to Legoland. We have stayed overnight at numerous hotels around the country and can honestly say this is one of the best. The receptionist who booked us in was fantastic and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and advise us of the facilities on offer. We booked breakfast for the following morning (she advised it was cheaper if we pre-booked). One of the best buffet breakfasts I have had. My only criticism would be (and hense the food/beverage score), after a long day at legoland, when the children had fallen asleep, a bottle of wine would have gone down lovely. Unfortunately the prices for a bottle in the hotel were too expensive. Would definately visit again but next time I would take my own wine. 26 July 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonably decent hotel for the money Stayed here overnight recently. Room was fine and we slept well. Our in laws on the 3rd floor, we were on the 8th, had a disturbed night due to rowdy youths across the road from the hotel, making a racket well into the small hours. However, staff were very friendly, lifts all worked well and the food was reasonable, if unremarkable. There wasn't anywhere else locally to go for a meal and you wouldn't really want to wander around the area anyway. Popular with coach parties and families heading for legoland as well as business groups. Worth negotiating an executive room as it was markedly better than the standard one. 16 July 2012

The grilled items looked unappetising and undercooked, and those that we sampled, were. The fruit was OK, but the toasting bread was tasteless. The room was fine however, with comfortable beds. We would stay here again - but on a room-only basis. 15 July 2012
