Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Slightly Above Average Corporate Hotel Adequate but expensive corporate hotel with comfortable rooms. Bathrooms beginning to look tired and in need of updating eg. no walk in showers. Very noisy restaurant with staff clearing up around you when you wish for peace and quiet. Staff though are very polite and helpful - the above comment was due to staff thoughtlessness not deliberate but did occur on both days. 17 December 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend Hotel Break As a Platinum card holder I was given an upgrade to a fantastic suite of rooms. Thanks! These must cost a fortune Monday to Friday. We just wanted a comfortable change of scene and we were delighted with the hotel facilities. After a long queue at reception, everything else exceeded our expectations. The pool/sauna area was high quality, the room and large bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. The location was ideal for the Solihull shopping area - it couldn't be better. We'll be back soon. 13 December 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excelleny location for Xmas shopping at Touchwood Just back from a points break stay at HI Solihull. Big hotel. Typical Holiday Inn. Good sized room but mine was freezing cold! Didn't do any meals as I was on my way to London early next morning. Bar service was friendly and efficient. Free parking when I checked out. Touchwood shopping centre and John Lewis very handy - 100 yards walk across road. Would stay again 02 December 2014
