Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 1st Time in Southampton We wanted a hotel close to the river so that we could explore the waterfront and this Hotel has a fantastic waterfront location. As we were new to the area, we decided to explore and have dinner in the town rather than at the hotel. Breakfast is not usually included in standard Holiday Inn prices (but is usually included in an HI Express, which always seems a little odd to me) --- Anyway, we do not usually have breakfast, so just had a coffee in our room. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. We had full intentions of using the adjoining leisure Club but the desire to explore Southampton took precedence. If we come back to Southampton we would be happy to stay at this hotel again. 03 March 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Leiusure days Good easy check in room on the 8th floor good view fairly comfortable. A few problems in the restaurant with the service the first night (non existent ) this put the dampeners on a good evening after complaining to the duty manager hopefully the poor service will be resolved. The second night service in the restaurant was far better and the staff very attentive, the breakfasts were very good. will return if in the area. 02 March 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business trip Comfortable medium level hotel...but rather expensive for what you get. Charged for hotel parking and no free wifi! The information I was given at the reception suggested Wifi was free...but no you have to have some kind of hotel chain membership for that. Far more expensive than suggested by Google and more expensive than hotels having better facilities in Bahrain. Ok that is a third party website but it is very annoying to choose a hotel based on price then find that its actually nearly three times that amount. 02 March 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Close to the docks, helpful staff Hotel is fine, very much like any other Holiday Inn. Comfortable beds and pillows. Free Wi-Fi is ok for e-mail, no good for Netflix. Staff helpful and friendly. Dinner however was very poor. Advertised as "char grilled" chicken Caesar salad, however the soggy lump of chicken had been nowhere near a char-grill. Pointed this ok when checking out, and the immediately offered to reduce the bill, #however didn't take them up on it as I was late# 02 March 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent service I stayed as part of a group on a training course for three nights. Reception staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. I was made to feel very welcome and relaxed. My room on the fourth floor was spacious warm and spotless. The large bed was very comfortable. I liked the fact that the curtains blocked out all light so I had a very peaceful nights sleep. Food from breakfast, the snacks at lunchtime and our evening meals, were fabulous! I can highly recommend the lemon sherbet Alaska desert! The gym had all the basics and was very clean, I made good use of the sauna and pool, all clean and well maintained. The Jacuzzi was warm and bubbled for quite a good while, I did not want to get out! The staff are lovely happy and friendly, nothing was too much trouble they even remembered our names! I travel quite a lot and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful relaxing stay, even though I was on a course. 02 March 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great short stay Only stayed overnight but room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Sheets and towels lovely and clean. Perfect location for shopping trip, with added bonus of being able to swim and go to the gym. Staff friendly and helpful, despite being very busy - the hotel was full. The Scottish lady who served at breakfast was extremely nice and cheerful, obviously enjoys her work and meeting the guests. 28 February 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Nice room but staff were not the best I found the staff quite rude and no one mentioned my IHG status, no water or chocolate compliementary. The staff were also not friendly on check out. Room was nice and clean but staff need to enjoy their jobs more. 27 February 2015
