Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent Service in a new hotel I arrived at hotel after a long day ready for a flight the following morning. The staff were very friendly and offered me a room upgrade. The room was excellent , very clean and spacious. The hotel is situated within a five minute walk of the airport building but isn't noisy at all. I will definitely stay here again next time I fly from Southend. 17 December 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RECOMMENDED Excellent, clean hotel with friendly staff and good sized rooms. The buffet breakfast was very good with a great choice and the food was hot and not overcooked! I would recommend this hotel to anyone whether you are using the airport or just visiting Southend and I will certainly book it again. 16 December 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Parking charges to be considered an additional expense Overall the hotel is very good. The restaurant service and food were excellent. However, I was working in the area and needed to park every day. Over a week this adds up. Maybe if IHG members reach a certain level the parking can be complimentary during the stay. 11 December 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and views Pleasant stay. Staff in restaurant not very customer focused. Young girl failed to obtain a wifi password due to reception not answering phone. Being an IHG guest did not feel the importance of this rewards scheme at this stay. Let's hope it was a one off and next time they take and use this feedback. 07 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 my stay 22nd Nov - 24th Nov The staff were very friendly the room was fine although it said the heating was at 21 deg there was cold air blowing from the air conditioning, tried to change without success. Was only there to sleep mainly, so it didnt really matter, I booked online and made the mistake of booking a package deal and even though I was alone, I paid for breakfast for two people for two days. Explained this over the phone but nothing was done about it. I have to say the breakfast was excellent and if I coulkd have managed it, would have eaten for two people ! 04 December 2014
