Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced and Dingy I didn't realize until I got the email to fill this out that I was overcharged for my stay by $70! The hotel was dingy, the food was not very good (and was also overpriced) and I was yelled at by one of the staff that I have better hurry up because they were going to close the hot tub. I have just run an 11 mile race in the mountains and still had a good 45 minutes before the pool area was supposed to close. I will not stay here again! June 15, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient and comfortable This is an older property a bit worn around the edges and in need of some freshening. It is convenient for travelers on I-80, though not located in a very attractive part of Sparks. We used it as an overnight stop en route to California, and for that purpose it sufficed. The room was clean and comfortable. The TV needs to be upgraded to high definition. Front desk staff were efficient and business-like. June 6, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sparks Family Visit When we first checked in, our room had not been completely stocked with towels. When we called about this we were told to come to the front desk and get some - even thought this is suppose to be a full service hotel. The next day when we went down for breakfast at 10:30, we were informed that they were closed - period and nothing more was said. The website for this hotel states that it has a full service restaurant - really! They do not serve lunch, close early for breakfast and have a short window for dinner. Plus the dining room is located in and served by the bar. While this building is old and run down and really in need of a face lift and remodel, there was a sign at the front desk asking us to excuse their dust as they were remodeling. We never saw any sign of remodeling being done. When we checked out, we were given a copy of our bill. While we stayed on our points, we still had a charge. Nothing was explained about this charge and when I noticed it, I called the Front Desk and asked what this charge was for. While it was properly explained to me then, it would have been nice to have this explained when we checked out instead of our being upset and having to call to ask. Overall, this place did not meet our expectations for a Holiday Inn. This is suppose to be a full service hotel and we found the place lacking in service and lacking in a caring attitude.
