Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lonepalm9 clean room, ease of access
close to old town St. Augustine and local restaurants. Ease of access from highways and downtown. Hotel is off the road a bit and can be missed if not aware.

Remodeled facilities were nice improvement. Staff was friendly, especially George at the front desk who was very helpful with info we requested. He gave that all important first good impression that made us comfortable being there. Restaurant waitresses also did a good job.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by donnadee More than expected, it was a very nice hotel for the price.
Have stayed at Holiday Inns in the past and they were reasonably priced places to sleep with really no frills. Pleasantly surprised at this location that it had an upscale feel. Very comfortable room, nicely decorated and at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend staying at this Holiday Inn.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by FloridaGator1 Newly renovated, but very noisy due to families and guests.
This hotel was newly renovated, and the paint smell still lingered in the room. A main water pipe broke, so the hotel had no water for a few hours, but they were eventually able to restore water for everyone.
You can walk to downtown St. Augustine in about 30 minutes, but there are also hotels directly in the heart of downtown if you prefer being that close.
Unfortunately, the hotel was unable to give a room on a higher floor, despite giving other guests a higher floor. This resulted in a very noisy environment during the day and especially at night. Unfortunately, the noise caused disruption to sleep multiple times, so I checked out the very next day and stayed elsewhere.
Families typically stay at these hotels, and this was the case for this hotel. Expect a noisy environment. If this does not concern you, then you will not have any problem staying here, but if you like relative peace and sleep is important to you, you should consider other options.
The gym is generally dark and the rooms are very limited in terms of space and ceiling height. You can find much better options in the surrounding area, as I did after I checked out early.
