Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by attractive and great service we've been coming here twice a year or more for 5 years. in the beginning it was dated and a bit funky but ok and in a great location, "the hill". we endured about a year of renovation which really brought it up to current standards of decor. love the 4 pillows. hey, it's not 5-star but it's a good value and the staff has always been courteous and accomodating whether it be use of wheelchair or mods to the menu. just a very nice place. thanks, kp 27 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy parking area seems ok restaurants close but nt walking Rooms very typical of holiday inn very nice beds and pillows and climate control nice and quiet. Very good chocolate chip cookies almost makes them worth the trip. Restaurants are not within walking distance but within a 3-4 mile radius 16 January 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay I had a family trip back to St. Louis after New Year. I booked on line and prepaid. When I contacted the front desk directly for my room requests, they were very helpful. I was places on the top floor (I had requested a room on a high floor) and my room faced away from the highway (I had requested a room on the quiet side of the hotel and did not mind paying the extra $10/night for the king room which faced south away from the freeway). Check in was fast and friendly and I got a fresh baked cookie! The only suggestion I would make is to let guest know when housekeeping will be making rounds. I had my sign up the first 2 days, and on the third and fourth days I was startled awake at approximatly 8:15 AM by a pounding on the door and a very loud voice calling out 'housekeeping!'. In both instances I let the housekeeper know I'd be out of there in a couple of hours so I could get ready for my day. And perhaps a request for the knocking to not sound like the local PD is breaking down the door? 09 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice, but slightly overpriced The amenities are fine and staff was friendly. The rooms were clean, but bathroom was very small and difficult to move around in. The breakfast was overrated, but convenient. We were there because it is close to Barnes Hospital and I had apptmt for the next day. It is close to the hospital and a nice hotel, but slightly overpriced for the room. 19 December 2014

The only negative thing was that I was unable to adjust the temperature in the room. It was a little cooler then I like, but the temperature could not be adjusted nor the fan speed. 18 December 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An Overall Great Experience Spent one night at this hotel with our severely handicapped grand daughter. From the moment we walked in until the moment we drove off, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful in every way possible. The breakfast at the very clean and attractive restaurant was a pleasant surprise and the accommodations were clean, quiet and very comfortable. Definitely will use this location again for my downtown St. Louis visits. 15 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Weekend Getaway We had won a free night at an auction to stay at this hotel. Thought we'd give this to some relative, when the house would be too full to have everyone stay over (e.g., family get-togethers). Never had that opportunity, so we used the certificate ourselves and had a night-away-from-home. Great staff, very attentive, and a beautiful breakfast. Location is not very scenic, but close to the Hill and downtown. What a great treat for a weekend, romantic get-away!! 14 December 2014
