Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good for wedding receptions on a budget
We reserved a large block of rooms for my daughter's wedding. Kamber (event coordinator) was amazing in every way in helping us plan the reception for 180 guests from 4 hours away. Front desk staff and everyone associated with the hotel (other than the main bartender in the lobby that night) was extremely attentive and helpful. The hotel was finishing up renovations (which we knew about when we booked) and looked a little rough in the hallways, but the rooms were finished and very nice. The blow dryer cord was not long enough to reach the mirror comfortably in the bathroom, but that was minor.
This hotel is an easy drive to/from Soulard and downtown STL, although getting in and out of the hotel parking lot from Lindbergh and 55 is a little tricky until you get used to it.
The banquet food was very good for the reception, and the banquet room was absolutely beautiful. Nice setup for wedding receptions!

Really liked this hotel. My only issue was the clearly inebriated man in the lobby. The hotel has a bar and this fellow and his friends were passed the point of no return. A security person was trying to handle the man, but he clearly needed the assistance of the police. I felt sorry for the onsite staff and myself and my friends as we were entering and exiting the hotel. We felt we could be in harm's way. Again, the police should have been called and this man and hi friends should have been removed from the hotel. Poor direction, instruction, policy and protocol from upper management for the staff when they encounter drunken patrons that enter or exit their bar area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lognar Great stay, great hotel, great people!
My wife and I chose this hotel because it was a bit out from downtown and with a better rate. We not only got this, but we had a comfortable and amazing night's sleep and were met by extremely friendly staff everywhere. This will be our go-to hotel in St. Louis from now on.
