The location is excellent. Superb breakfast, only let down by having to get hot drinks from a machine rather than brought to your table by a human. 23 August 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent apart from wall to wall music Room/bed/facilities/service/food/staff all excellent. A choice of pillows was really good. The only criticism is the music played throughout the hotel. This is unnecessarily loud, especially in reception. There is even music outside in the garden and in the car park near the main door. Unlike other hotels in the area, there are no quiet areas to sit and read (or work) which is a pity as not everyone wants loud music all the time. I have stayed at the Stratford Holiday Inn a few times before and on this last occasion (August 2014) the music level was more intrusive than previous visits. The only quiet place was in my room! 22 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected stopover at the Holiday Inn Stratford We booked the Holiday Inn as a stopover after visiting Warick Castle for the day. It took at most 20 minutes to reach the hotel. Before we arrived we were aware of new refurbishment to the reception, lobby, bar, restaurant and outdoor areas but were amazed by the actual level of finish when we arrived! The ground floor areas were spacious, spotless and well maintained with decorators still touching up the smallest imperfections. We were quickly checked into our fair sized room that had all the expected items all in working condition. We booked a large double room with extra bed for the three of us but both beds were substantial in size with the double more like a king and the pop-up bed like any normal single bed. However they forgot to add an extra mug to the tray and my teenage son wanted an extra pillow to sleep with so we called down to reception and within 10 minutes they brought us up extra pillows and an extra mug with extra sachets. The evening restaurant menu was quite pricey but was worth the extra cost and the breakfast was well stocked with lots of choice where there was even a chef waiting to make omelettes to order in front of you. We made use of the pool and gym both in the evening and the next morning and found it to be not overcrowded or crammed with children which was a pleasant surprise considering the hotel was full. For a stopover at a Holiday Inn we definitely did not expect these standards and will certainly be returning! 21 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable experience A very clean, attractive and modern hotel. Well situated for the town and amenities, and in a great location adjacent to the river. Park up the car, you wont need it. One lift still out of order awaiting spare parts. On arrival we found a couple of slight problems with the room, which couldn't be rectified due to it being weekend, but it didn't cause us any discomfort, and we were compensated on departure, which was much appreciated, as we didn't ask for, or expect anything. Room was comfortable and well equipped, although storage space a little limited, but adequate for the three nights of our visit. Food very good, especially breakfast (buffet#, which provided either full English or Continental, or both if you wished. We only had two evening meals, the first being buffet style.#Suggest you pick a time when the buffet is being well used to ensure the hot items are freshly cooked), Our second meal was set menu for two persons which we thought good value for a top hotel. We found all members of staff to be very friendly and helpful and couldn't be faulted. Overall a very enjoyable weekend, and would definitely stay here again. 20 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location The Location of this hotel is excellent within easy walking distance for myself as my husband was in his wheelchair. As for the staff excluding my experience on arrival and my room problem I could not fault them , Excellent Hotel and after my stay in Stratfford we went on to stay in Holiday Inns in Milton Keynes Cambridge and Lincoln. . 16 August 2014
