Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A bit tired I'm sorry to say this Holiday Inn did not seem to be of the standard of others I have stayed in. Whilst the staff were very polite and helpful, the room looked a bit tired and the shower head dripped. My second night was disturbed by a rowdy crowd at about 3am - not the hotel's fault as such but clearly more control needed of large groups. The most awful thing about the stay was the food. Rarely have I been served such awful food - fishcakes with hardly any fish, a Gravlax and Beetroot salad with no beetroot what so ever. Even over-cooked peas. The latter suggesting that it is an issue of care and consideration of the customer, surely even the worst cook would replace over-microwaved peas. Added to this the room service tray is delivered without any sauces etc. if a meal has chips surely it is reasonable to expect some vinegar and ketchup as a minimum? Not of the standard I associate with this brand unfortunately. January 21, 2016

The staff are the friendliest I've ever encountered and that makes a great hotel. The breakfast selection is brilliant and the dining menu incredibly tasty. Always a good nights sleep and bathroom facilities perfect for freshening up after a long day in the office. Great selection of food and drink available and the serving staff willing to have a brief talk and laugh with you. Couldn't ask for a better service! January 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor magaement As an IHG member I was offered an upgrade but the room was on the first floor overlooking the main road and it would be noisy. I was told that I could a standard room with the extras which you got with an upgrade After nearly 1 hours I had not received anything and after a phone call I revived a bathrobe but it was damp and phoned again and received another damp bathrobe. Went down and I was told that I would receive a bottle of wine for problems and then got a bathrobe which I could use. After a further 1 hour I was told that I would not get the wine and then I spoke duty manager and he sorted out the other items which I would have receive in an upgrade room. I was told that a free newspaper in the morning but I did not get the free newspaper in the morning. I spoke to the general manager but he did not care about the poor actions of his staff. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and twice I have had problems therefore I will not stay at the hotel again January 15, 2016
