The airport shuttle service is poorly organized and overly expensive. Good luck finding the shuttle without calling the hotel. Clean the carpets and common areas.

We were quite disappointed with our stay here. We were placed in a handicapped room, which was not needed or requested by us. The problem with this was that our bathroom was set up for wheelchair access and the shower did not have an edge and floor was all one level. This would have been fine if the drain actually worked.... The water went all over the entire bathroom floor and even under the door and onto the carpet outside of the bathroom! There were two drains in the bathroom floor and the water did not drain down either of them.
To add to that:
The little milk pods in the mini bar were old and yukky.
The air conditioner made an awful high pitched squealing sound and made it difficult to sleep with it turned on.
This was our second stay at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport and our first experience was nicer. Shame this stay was not as good.

I always try and stay here. The staff are just fantastic and it's good being so close to the airport and a little away from the busyness of Sydney CBD

This hotel is clean and has decent beds with cheerful staff! They have ample supply of 3 kinds of newspapers and a large basket of complimentary green apples. However, their payment system needs improvement because they are not able to reverse the wrong amount charged to my credit card and I have to suffer the exchange loss despite getting a cash refund for the wrong amount! Advice to customers --very important to check the payment amounts BEFORE signing on the dotted line!

Friendly and efficient service was fantastic. All our needs were met with ease. Room facilities were clean and comfortable. Location so close to the Airport and the 'Park Stay and Go' Package provided a hassle free option for our travels. Definitely recommend and would happily return for our next travels via Sydney Airport.

The shower was one of the best I've struck - and I have stayed in many 5 star hotels.
Great attitude from Reception staff.
Bed comfortable, excellent soundproofing.
A few small negatives: they mixed up my newspaper requests, but as there were plenty in the dining room it was not a problem.
I requested Express Checkout, but it didn't happen
I parked my car in the hotel carpark - better signage would be a big help as I missed the carpark entrance and only saw the sign when it was too late and had to go around the block.
Air conditioning in conference room was awful - froze the people near it while those on the other side of a not very big room were very hot.

Hotel was fine for the overnight stopover. Had generally a tired appearance in public and common areas, looks well overdue for renovation.
That being said was clean and tidy, and staff were friendly. Internet was free with IHG membership, and worked fine for the few hours it was used.
Would be nice to get some information about getting from the airport to the Hotel. Taxi drivers refused to travel such a short distance, couldn't find the shuttle bus i had heard about, so ended up taking an Uber Black which was ~$30 - worth every cent.
