Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sarah1211 Terrible Experience
Waited over an hour outside in the freezing cold at the airport for the shuttle bus (the shuttle bus is suppose to come every 20 minutes). Was frustrated and exhausted when I finally got to the hotel.
Around 1am a fire alarm went off for 20 minutes. Staff did not communicate with the quests. Everyone was confused and didn't know where to go.
Over my experience at this hotel was awful, will not be returning.

During my last stay, Toronto experienced a bit of a snowfall.
While the complete transportation system in Toronto got stuck in Snow Chaos, the Airport more or less closed and the Major Airline in Canada demonstrated an absence of Ownership and Management skills to handle the situation, I got stranded back at the Hotel I staid for 2 nights prior to my planned departure.
The Stay I had was pleasant as always. I like the location but most the service orientated employes in this Hotel
When I returned, meanwhile frozen and frustrated to the Hotel, after going through an absolute service disaster with AC, all Rooms where gone.
However the Lobby filled with frustrated people One Young Lady took Ownership- contacted another Hotel, was trying to get me a transportation and a room making sure I am not starting to walk down the street and get to the other Holiday Inn. Unfortunately I have not taken the name of that young Lady but would like to thank her and all of the employees of the Hotel which made it to work stayed longer and have been working the Chaos.
One thing for sure - you can not change the weather but you can prepare for it. Holiday Inn did the Airline did not
These are the experiences you make and want you to come Back

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by blondiemare Room wasn't bad, not what we expected, bed was comfortable
Over all the stay was not bad but the service as we knew it was not good. Leaving the hotel at very early morning, bus ride was good. Return back to hotel was terrible. Our luggage arrived very late in the night, we expected to see the Holiday Inn bus when we came out of the airport and there was no bus, we waited for over 45 minutes in the cold rainy drissell in summer clothes, if we had not had a phone we would still be standing there freezing. It wasnt until our grandson gave us a phone to call the hotel for there 20 minutes return bus that never came. Finally we got a another bus coming back that took us to your hotel. We are not young people and the standing, waiting in cold weather did us no good, even the bellhop thought it was funny and grinned about it. Sorry but we won't be staying there again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JonSr It will cost you
The hotel is fine. You will enjoy your stay--if you like being charged extra for every little thing and sometimes charged double. Local calls cost extra; even "toll-free" calls come with an extra fee. Nowhere in the room do they reveal how much a long distance call will cost, so you have to do additional investigation if there are limits to what you are willing to pay. Also, beware of being double charged for parking. They will require you to pay cash at the lot; then you will find out later that you are being billed extra per night for parking. They do not necessarily tell you that when you check in, and it is too late to work it out when you are driving out of the lot (you have to have your ticket validated beforehand). Of course you could back up, repark, walk back inside, wait in line, have your ticket validated, then go back out and try again if you have nothing else to do with your day.
Be prepared to pay, pay, pay, or they will make it very inconvenient for you.

Cons: Horrible office chair for the desk. Very uncomfortable. Noisy room conditioner. Bottle of water 5 dollars? Get real!

This full service Holiday Inn was a major disappoinment. Considering this is an airport Holiday Inn, and as I was told, a flagship property, I can't recommend it at all. Here are my top two objections:
1.) Had a bowl of soup and a sandwich for dinner - bill was 36 dollars Canadian. Really, for a bowl of sou and a sandwich, that is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion, not that it wasn't good, but severely over priced in my opinion.
2.) The TV had to be 12-15 years old. It was an old tube type with a square picture. Considering that the service was HD, it looked terrible. I couldn't find any channel that I could watch, I felt like I was back in 1990's.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Canadian73 Excellent but areas of improvement
I stayed in room 915 and noticed a large crack in the ceiling, that had been filled previously. The crack extended from the window from to the centre of the ceiling (About 3 or 4 ft)
Also, the paint on the bottom of bathroom door is peeling in large chunks. The shower itself was great with lovely pressure. The bed was heavenly but the double-paned window was dirty and filled with condensation

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tiredtraveler3 awesome staff and service
My wife and I arrived at 2:00 AM from a delayed flight from Vancouver after a delayed flight from Honolulu. Needless to say we were quite tired and after entering our room,we fell asleep immediately on a very comfortable bed. We happened to sleep through the night and through check out. The staff were very aware of our long flight and late arrival and were very cortious to our well needed rest. Thanks

When we checked in on Jan. 3 the room assigned to us had not been serviced. I called the front desk immediately and they sent an Assistant Manager ( I believe that was his position) with the key to another room. He handed us the key, walking right past our luggage, then turned and disappeared down the corridor, leaving us to struggle with our bags and find the new room. We are 78 years old, stay at your hotel several times a year and have recommended it to friends and family. We expected help in moving to the new room which, by the way, was on the ninth or priority floor - leaving us stranded was not the level of service we expect. We have been left with an unhappy memory of our last stay with you.

I really like this location as a park and fly solution as the park location is on site and the hotel provides good value in respect to location, room comfort and efficient service. The beds are very comfortable for rooms of this price range. There are never any bad surprises, only the predictable good value.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 17Dec1903 So-so hotel near Toronto airport
*Close to airport
*Convenient, 24hr shuttle service, 3x/hr
*Rude check-in staff
*Old shuttle bus to airport
*In-room heating unit was old
Other than the closeness to the airport, and the ease of getting back and forth from the hotel to the airport, there is not much to recommend this hotel. I would not stay here again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BEAU Kitchen needs help
stayed here many times before as an overnight hotel to make connection next day. Food had always been decent for hotel food, but my last stay it was absolutely brutal
I ordered halibut and sweet potatoe fries. The fries werent bad, not great, but the fish was akin to frozen fish sticks
One thing I demand when travelling is at least a good sit down meal that at tries to resemble home cooking. I refuse to eat in fast food joints. It doesnt take alot of work to prepare a nutrious healthy meal, and maybe I should have tried something else but my server HIGHLY recommended the halibut.
This hotel has laways been clean and com fortable, but their kitchen needs to take it up a notch, even if its only a Holiday Inn. I didnt expect the Waldorf Astoria, but I at least want something that wasnt popped from the freezer to the grease fryer. I hope someone reads this and takes it to task

It's a great place to begin or end a holiday because the Holiday Inn offers free parking (depending on your stay), 24 hour airport shuttle service, and a friendly, quick check-in service. We arrived after midnight and the shuttle was not long picking us up from the airport. The rooms were clean, comfortable and gave us a good night's sleep. We will return.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by kimaco50 Check in is the bomb and I mean like bummer!
Our reservations where made through a travel agent and all payed ahead in full we where given our receipts. When we checked in the front desk was not very helpful when we told them we did not have a credit card. We said we have no problem with giving cash deposit, and we where told that even though the money was American we would only receive canadian funds back. I asked if the money was being put in an envelope and keept there? I was told yes. So I asked can they just not give us back that envelope? I was told NO ! I also asked why this was not mentioned to my travel agent about the credit card being needed for deposit as it could have been done at the same time the reservation was made?? This would have saved time and then maybe we would have been treated a little bit better as your desk person made us feel like IDIOTS and realy became slow going behind the door and leaving us at the desk. The other tall erogant check in person was able to check in another couple who arrived about 6 min after us and they where on there way to the room and we where still waiting for our check in person to finish up on our room. And all of this was because we gave cash instead of credit card.... Are you kidding me ! TERRIBLE check in service. Especially mad me mad because we where leaving for Panama at 6:00 a.m. so could not get to a bank to exchange funds back into us...
Ps: I did not try any of the food so realy could not comment on it but as everything else was about average I also marked that average I would like to have skipped it but this survey would not allow me too.

Several stays at this hotel. Location to airport is good and easy walk to several restaurants. It is starting to look somewhat "dated" , but our executive room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was well presented and more than sufficient to start the day. Kudos to both Javed and Deepika in the restaurant. Exceptionally warm welcome to returning guest and prompt friend service as usual.

Have stayed at lots of different hotels at various locations worldwide, but the elevators of this location has it's own mind. It's fun experiencing all wierd things that you haven't expected while at liesure, however it might make you crazy when you want to be on time for the business or otherwise.
Apart from that, it's hit and miss to get timely service at the reception. While there are three to four guests in a queue, the person at the reception doesn't understand that there is no time for a long duration small talk and finish the business as quickly as one can to attend the next guest.
While check in, the reception forgot to provide breakfast coupons that was included in the room rate...Found out on the last day, that the rate did include it...Little too late, isn't it!
Since, it's near to the airport quite often there is a inrush of delayed flight passangers. The reception staff or the restaurant is not well prepared to such an event and you might be waiting even longer.
Other than that, a typical Holiday Inn hotel experince...

I stayed on the Executive level (11thfloor) and when I opened the curtains the pigeons were absolutely awful and the window sill was covered in Pigeon fesis. It was disgusting. I stay at Holiday Inns whenever I travel and I have never had a situation like this. It was really dissappointing.
