Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HOTEL PROPERTY TO AVOID This was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. I have stayed in Holiday Inns, in the past and had very pleasant experiences. Upon arrival, we were given room 107. Once we were able to get into the room (door handle was falling off), we noticed peeling wallpaper and found it was a result of water leaking down the wall...I went to the front desk to report it and all the clerk said was "oh, we need to check the room upstairs" and proceeded to call the security employee on duty to take us to another room that she assigned to us. I then asked if we could please have a couple of extra blankets and she replied "certainly". The gentleman that was working security showed us to the next room (room 123) and turned on the heat. It took a while for it to heat up but by the time we were done moving our things, it was acceptable. However, as I was turning down the bed, I noticed black splatters on a large portion of the wall beside the bed and found multiple hairs in the tub when going in to shower. We gave up on waiting for extra blankets and went to bed about 1 ½ hours later. I’m glad we didn’t wait any longer because the blankets were never delivered. Unfortunately, it was either this hotel or our compact car because the roads were too treacherous to travel any further...If the temperature had been above freezing, we would have chosen the car. I have never had a hotel stay experience that was even close to being this disappointing... 26 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NEW MENU!!! Halfway through last week's visit, a new menu was unveiled! A few changes, removals, additions, etc. It's a very welcomed change to the many frequent guests here. This just goes to show you how much this hotel and its staff are continuously improving the guests' experiences and exceeding expectations. As always, Mark and Enzo at the front desk greeted me professionally and rapidly checked me in. Joe at the bar is always a welcomed sight after a long day at the office. 24 February 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Peel back the layers Just outside Newark Liberty Airport is this property. Just a quick heads up, be careful with the address you use in your GPS device, You might end up on the backside of the hotel with no clear idea of how to get in. I would call the hotel in advance to get their "GPS Address." The room was clean and quiet. The halls were a little scary, the old carpet had several bleach stains here and there. That made me nervous to what I was going to get. But behind the door was a nice clean room with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean, but the grout around the tub was discolored...made me double check the tub. Also, the pull to divert the water to the shower head is sticky and does not give you a full transfer of water. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. They are what made the stay a nice one. So in reality it was the aesthetics that were the let down at this property, everything else was fine. 14 February 2015

Housekeeping did a nice job straightening up each day and appreciated that a light was on in the room for me when I returned each day; however; I don't think every light in the room needed to be turned on, just one. It would be nice if there were a small microwave in each room for guests to reheat leftovers, to make popcorn, etc... or to have one in the lobby area for guests for that purpose. 06 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Consistently Exceeds Expectations This hotel continuously improves. The staff have always exceeded my expectations and have always greeted me with a familiar smile. Mark at the front desk is always pleasant and professional and willing to assist in any way possible. The bartender, Joe, remembers my favorite menu items and greets me by name. The GM, Mohan, is always available to fix a problem or come up with a solution if there's ever a problem. The staff is why I keep coming here. I was happy to see NEW carpeting in my room and a new desk chair. They are always improving the customers' experiences. 27 January 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding I have always received excellent service at this location. The girls working the check in counter are always very attentive and represent the hotel well. This last stay the TV in my room was not working I called downstairs and was given another room to ensure I did not have to wait for things to be fixed. 17 January 2015
