I stayed at the Holiday Inn Walsall M6 J10. Very good hotel, friendly staff and good service.
The only thing that let it down was the bathroom. Mould on the ceiling and shower curtain, paint missing from the walls and ceiling and when I pulled the pug after a shave the water did not drain properly and the smell was disgusting.
Apart from this the room was very clean and tidy.

Stayed here over the Easter Weekend, booked 3 rooms on a Bed Breakfast and Dinner Rate, 4 Adults - 2 Children and as a member of the IHG Elite Platinum Level got the complimentary upgrades. Previous visits this hotel exceeded my expectations in many fields but sadly something has gone drastically wrong.
Upon check-in the process was not very efficient as previous, we had issues with each room, one room the fridge was not working and broken tv in living area, glasses missing and faulty safe in another, and in our room basic essentials like toilet paper were missing. All reported to reception and rectified. We all decided to spend the afternoon in the unmanned swimming pool, but were surprised to see the reception area unmanned also, once in the pool we had adults jumping in, splashing, ball throwing and all we wanted to do was a lane swim including our children but it got so bad my wife was hit in the face twice by a high speed ball and she left the pool in tears, I explained all this to reception whom reply was it's unmanned and signage does say no jumping or splashing but she did not prevent it happening. The 3 course meal was from a set menu, unchanged both nights, limited choice, we got offered 2nd night to eat off main menu but advised that it has a max £18.00 per person, considering the cost of each course you would not be able to enjoy 3 courses only 2. All in all a very disappointing experience and wont be returning until standards have improved, it's a shame really as this was once a great hotel.

Had a great stay. Room was very nice and comfortable. Customer service was excellent, Laura at the reception dealt with us at checkin and checkout and was very good, and very helpful. This is my second visit and would definitely be going back. One of the best holiday inn's I've stayed in. Thank you

I have stayed here quite a few times now for business as this is the only hotel within a convenient distance to my place of business. Staff are very friendly and have always been polite and corteous.....especially when dealing with the issues. You just can't help but wonder why standards in the hotel are not checked more by management....or even staff!?
I have had a dirty room on several occasions and had to ask to moved as it has been unbearable on a few occasions. Mouldy net curtains, blood (fresh) on the carpets, dirty sheets, filthy shower curtains and smelly towls.....unfortunately the list does go on.
The best advise I could give to the hotel manager is fight for a refit but act like you still care by checking standards in the rooms, restaurant and facilities more often. I would agree the hotel is in desperate need of a facelift (you are always busy so there is a clear ROI) but there is so much you can still get right first!
I have little choice but to stay here as the location is perfect for where I need to be....and I collect IHG points. But if I could choose to stay elsewhere then I would.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn, Walsall on the 30th March 2015, check in was painless,,and the room very good,The facilities we used were excellent, the bed was very comfortable,,and had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was very good value,self sevice, but a good selection to choose from.Would certainly stay here again,,and would recommend it to anyone.

This is my 2nd time at the hotel and unfortunately it wasn't as good as my 1st time however this will not put me off. I am a platinum member and unfortunately this was not recognized at my arrival. My room was adequate however the rooms seem tired and unlike most Holiday Inn's they seem a bit behind time. However they are adequate and I wouldn't let this put you off. There is a gym but it needs attention the water machine is very poor and apparently it has been like this for some time. The bar area is good and the restaurant is sufficient enough so you don't have to venture out. The staff are friendly and always helpful and there is a relaxing bar area. Overall a good hotel with a good location which could be improved lets hope it work in progress.
