You are close to M street and even the Mall is within walking distance (and if not, there is a shuttle from the hotel). As with most HI hotels, the internet speed could be (much) better. During a +90 degrees weekend the (supervised) pool was very welcome! 29 June 2013

Employees at the Reception desk are the very first contact that the guests come in to touch with. Therefore, it is important to be professional and courteous. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Georgetown Great place to stay and I recommend. There's Whole Foods grocery store just a few blocks away. There are also lots of restaurants within walking distance. There was a mixup about the room I requested, forcing me to change rooms (after a 10 hour drive - uhhg) BUT the staff was pleasant and quickly sent a bell man up to move our luggage to a new room. 28 June 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful and Nice Staff The room and value were what I might assume to be normal for a DC Hotel of this variety. We got upgraded to a king just by showing up and it was just what I was looking for. The staff were incredibly helpful at check-in, check-out, and even a week later when I discovered I had left something in my room that they tracked down and then agreed to mail back to PA. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a room in the region on a budget. 27 June 2013

The room is always very nice and I appreciate the fact that the price is reasonable. One of the wait staff is always so nice to me at breakfast and remembers what I like! Her name is Yeshi. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very good experience I came to town early on Sat, 1 June. Check in was not til 4PM but the very good people at the check in got me into a clean room at 8 AM. The shuttle service could not have been nicer. Jimmy and his son Jimmy Jr were right there for me when I needed transportation. I also have to compliment the restaurant. I had the breakfast buffet each day and it was really good and the wait staff were very attentive. I'd highly recommend the Holiday Inn on Wisconsin Ave in Georgetown. 07 June 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service People at the front desk & bell desk were extremely nice & helpful. Special mention should be made of Marina & Manuel. Marina went out of her way to explain where all should we go, how to travel, what are the best places to see and what to do in case we are delayed etc., in a very nice, professional and sincere manner that my entire family liked her courtesy instantly. She is a gem of a front desk person. Manuel was again extremely helpful - he walked us down to the bus stop when we missed the hotel shuttle, gave us details of routes & a plan for the day & got us a cab on time for our departure. I travel quite a bit - what struck me most with these two folks was the personal touch with which they served us Kudos - keep it up. 06 June 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible When my wife and I checked in the first room we were given the A/C wasn't working, so they moved us and the second rooms A/C didn't work also. This time they moved us (3) they said they would also up grade us to better room. The only upgrade was a microwave and fridge cramd into the same size room. Then my wife saw blood on the lamp pole and dead bugs in the corner of room 618. Plus the shuttle took to long and would only go 1 1/2 miles. Never stay there again 06 June 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by HVAC and TV problems Have stayed here many times. Staff was very helpful and friendly. One new problem this time and one old problem. New problem: Room we were given upon check-in was extremely cold. Thermostat did not display any settings and apparently was not working. Requested and received different room. Problem we've had on prior stays: A number of TV channels had pixelated images while others were fine. Need to check why the TV system doesn't work well all the time. 06 June 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel I have been staying here for four years. Comfortable beds, hot shower, great breakfast, park your own car, walk to great dining and shopping, free shuttle bus. The standout here is the staff. Jesse and Corinne at the front desk, the shuttle drivers also - they go out of their way to help you. In the restaurant - Betty, Yeshi, TG, Eldid and Amanda - greet you with a smile - remember their repeat customers and make sure you are happy with your food and service. Can't say enough about them. Great hotel for the value and added bonus on the staff. 06 June 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Expensive I thought this hotel was OK. It was in a great location, very easy to use their shuttle or get a cab. The little gift shop was nice and the coffee in the lobby was appreciated. When we arrived they gave us a room key.. Me, my husband, my 3 yr. old and my mother in law and our 4 bags went up to the room to find a worker grouting the shower. He said we never should have gotten the key and they would send up someone to get our bags. Of course my 3 yr. old needed the potty, so I took her back down to the lobby to find a restroom. Passing the front desk I mentioned the room was not ready. When I came back to the lobby, my husband and mother in law were there. He said they schlepped the bags down because no one went up. We got another room in a few minutes. The 1st key didn't work so we tried another that worked. The pull out couch was a pull out, not very comfortable, but the air conditioning blew directly on the bed and there was no adjustment. Not the hotels fault but there was a crash right outside that woke everyone up the 1st night we stayed there. 20 May 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Reservationist Raised the price on me while I was on the phone by ~ $40 Location and on site folks were good. I am still exasburated that while I was on the phone the king bed room that I was quoted one minute earlier was then not available after we looked at a suite room price. I am a large man and had to then pay an additional ~ $40 for a king bed all while I was on the phone over a few minutes because the initial quote was "no longer valid"?????? What a crock. An adjustment would be appropriate as I will remember this as I travel each month. Still upset! Tim C 20 May 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Get Up Early This hotel is a very good value overall. However, like most good value hotels service suffers after hours or early in the morning. We needed a van sized cab for all of our luggage. The one person staff at 6AM on a Saturday said he would call us one, but in the end, 20 minutes later he could not produce one. There was a guy asleep in a smaller cab, which the desk person said was the only cab available(this in Washington, DC). We could barely fit our luggage in the cab. Then to add insult to injury the cab driver claimed he had to charge us $2 a piece for the bags because they could not fit well in the cab. When I asked him to produce a fee schedule he could not do so. The most a taxi can charge for extra bags is .50. I reported him. I should also mention that there was no bellman on duty at 6AM and no help available with our luggage. Normally this is not a problem, I am happy to carry my own luggage, but this was one of those instances when a bellman was needed. The one person on duty could have cared less and made no attempt to assist us 18 May 2013
