TV reception in room was ify and the wifi did not reach my room 429, i had 3g on my tablet but hate using that for downloading work reports and private use. Evening meal options not so clear on the menu but the food was good, hot and very tasty, asked for an off menu item for puddingand it was no problem. Head lady in the restaraunt was clearly in a mardy mood, but the rest of the staff were attentive polite and very pleasant. good location. A wee bit out of town if you want to go into town for food and entertainment but it was fine for my purposes. November 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 friendly atmosphere and staff once you arrive at the reception desk you are greeted with very friendly staff, then the rooms are adequately sized and the beds are of average comfort. the shower is excellent and powerful . if you fancy a drink or something to eat then the bar is very comfy and the drinks served were all ok . so overall very good November 10, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by An ihg hotel!!! was very surprised that the holiday inn at the Aberdeen exhibition centre bridge of dun was actually a holiday inn as the standard of service and rooms where far below ihg normal standards. Reception did not know basic information such as bus times to the city even though a bus service is advertised on the ihg website. Room cleanliness was low and tatty, no complementary water, paper not delivered in the morning, no explanation or alternative until I politely asked at breakfast but the deputy manager did send out for one, didn't have the heart to tell him he had missed the point, being in a hotel on business away from home you hang onto silly normality such as the times and a coffee before a shower in the morning, the variety of hotels and chains I use at least this is common place. Breakfast, staff not really around, wasn't asked if I wanted more coffee had to search for some. My meeting was rescheduled so I completed work in my room I arranged for a later checkout only to face house keeping enter my room as I came out of the bathroom after a shower, not sure who was the more shocked or embarrassed. On checkout I was asked if my stay was ok, I said the shower was great which it was just like home but didn't know where to start with the rest, I was polite and briefly noted all the above, apology yes but no real interest. It beggars belief how none ihg platinum members are treated. I have just stayed in another ihg hotel the Roxburgh this weekend and it was superb as normal what a contrast. November 3, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bed soft and uncomfortable Bed not what I expected in a Holiday Inn. You can get soft medium and hard pillows but sadly there was only one option for the bed. Very soft and I kept rolling to the middle. Poor nights sleep and I woke with a sore back. Hotel otherwise good and I enjoyed dinner, but let down badly by the bed. October 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and convenient I stayed for 5 nights to attend a conference/exhibition at the AEEC next door. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money and is clean and professionally run. Considering that a lot of the customers are there for business, I was disappointed that the Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable. I found I had to log in from time to time and the speed is okay for general browsing, but if you have to access a remote computer (i.e. I work remotely on a computer in the USA through GoToMyPC) it was almost impossible and very frustrating. There was no Ethernet option in the room. On a small point, I did feel that the restaurant staff could do with better training as once seated, I was largely ignored and was never offered a refill for my coffee or water without having to ask. I would stay there again and would recommend it and hope that the holiday inn management will take notice of some of the points above. October 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by awful coffee stayed 3 nights at hotel for a conference next door. perfect for that - bridge linked. staff were wonderful but the services provided are fairly basic. rooms are fairly basic, with no fridge in them. no real quiet area to sit in public areas - either the bar area or in front of reception. coffee in restaurant at breakfast every day was awful - had to go to the Costa next door to get a reasonable cup. restaurant menu does not have a cheese board option on it. room service had never heard of Horlicks or Oval tine. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of Guest Services I stayed for two nights this week and ordered a newspaper for the Monday and Tuesday. The newspapers were not delivered - on Monday I was told they had not been delivered to the hotel. I had to make do with the i "newspaper" which as free to all guests although as a Platinum Member I was given a note to say it would be delivered to my room - I had to get it from the restaurant each day. I suggest changing suppliers if newspapers are not delivered for two consecutive days. (although the free "newspaper" was available - it took only a few minutes to read the news from cover to cover as most of it is adverts or reprints of the same news elsewhere in the paper) The room had two telephones, neither of which worked. I had to go to the bar to order room service on Sunday and was told that there was a new telephone system in place and that some rooms had not worked - apparently it is beyond the wit of Housekeeping to pick up the telephone in each room to check the telephones. Even though it was reported on Sunday the hotel did not repair it so I had again to go to the bar on Monday evening to order room service - the reason why I wanted room service was to save time whilst working in my room so on both days my train of thought and concentration was disturbed. Breakfasts were leisurely as I had to wait for two attempts with the toast machine to get the colour of the bead to change from white to toasted - I went for breakfast earlier on Tuesday to take account of this delay. This is a common problem in Holiday Inns. October 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for what we used this hotel fo I was very dissapointed at the bar charges for 2 drinks that I bought for my wife and myself. 1 Bicardi and lemonade £11.20 1 Soda water and Blackcurrent £4.95 We are aware of this in the future we wont be having a drink, I would sugesst reducing the prices. Thanks to Carlos, Darren and Ailsa for their professional and friendly service. Also thank you to all the restaurant staff for taking care of our needs. (not forgetting the music man Mark) Hopefully weather permitting we will return early November after our trip to Canada. PS. It is with great reluctance that I have changed the "your age" box. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good service The hotel offered a good level of service with the staff very helpfull. The room was clean and comfortable. Our only gripe was the food in the restaurant. Whilst it was well cooked and presented it was not worth the hefty price tag. That said the breakfast was excellent. We would stay again when in Aberdeen but will go into town for a meal. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great weekend On arrival the staff where very friendly, my son was in Aberdeen to compete at National championships and the staff were helpful with advice on parking near the sports village. The room was lovely and clean, my only little gripe was it was 1 double and 1 single, as we were 1 adult and a 10 year old and 15 year old, so they weren't so happy to share!, but we knew this when we booked.. but otherwise everything was spot on. Breakfast fresh and tasty, also enjoyed a later breakfast since it was the weekend. We will be back, when in Aberdeen again. Thanks for a stress free stay. August 29, 2014

Both the bedroom and bathroom were excellent. The bar food was very good and was served quite late. The only thing which could be improved on is the cooked breakfast - bacon and sausages were cold and dried up. August 25, 2014

We are not prone to complain and normally are easy going so please accept that this is not normally us. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Value We continue to enjoy stays at this hotel which offers excellent value. Also, the proximity of the hotel to Aberdeen sea front is a big bonus. Breakfast was very good and the staff very attentive. The hot food dishes were replenished frequently and the other food trays/baskets were regularly freshened up. The bedroom was well appointed although the two disappointments relate to the very soft mattress and the lack of aircon (a cooling blower is however provided in the room). Reception staff were very helpful in finding a quiet room for us (away from the road noise) and were as confused as we were that our room key cards repeatedly refused to open our bedroom door! On two occasions, management staff brought new key cards to the room and still had problems getting them to work! Despite these little niggles, we hope to return! August 3, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by deciptful check out process My bill was presented in pounds but they charged me, with a hefty charge favorable to the hotel, in US dollars. and they changed currency without asking me my preference. I ended up paying over $50 extra, which I did not realize until I got back to the states. I am wiser now, but I will never stay at a holiday inn again if I can avoid it. July 15, 2014
