I understand the problems with remodels, but if you can not do better at punch out ( check the room for problems) , then you need to fine a better contactor. My room was OK, I've stay other Holiday Inn Express and had my socks knock off of me. Unfortunately this one did not. The bathroom shower stall had mold and major water leak in the ceiling. I informed the front desk at 7:00 am about the problem. I had to remind them of the problem 3 more times, then my wife had to remind them each time the front desk acted like it was the first time they heard of it. Then front desk tells my wife they will send one from maintenance to look at the problem. Maintenance informed the front desk about the problem. My wife had to call a 4 time, before the decided to move us to another room. Then that room wasn't ready for occupancy , because maintenance was trying to replace the lock on the door, he informed my wife that the room wasn't ready to be rented out yet. They finely moved us at 4:00 pm. I think that is not very good customer service. I think maintenance was working behind the coke machine because they left it in the middle of the hallway, all day and night with no maintenance in sight.

Some minor issues that could be corrected would certainly have made my visit more enjoyable.
If there are not enough alarm clocks for every room
couldn't additional ones be purchased? The closure
of the blackout curtains may be fixable by bending
the end connectors so that one will go behind the other.
Someone needs to be paying attention to details.

From the very beginning they had my room key ready along with my breakfast and free drink tickets waiting. Check was super fast and the easiest I've ever done. The room was clean and I was also upgraded to a suite, which was really cool. The bed was very comfortable as was the pull out couch. Breakfast was good and great service. Check out was a breeze.

We were impressed with the lobby when we first came to check in. However, once we received our key to our room, we were quickly disappointed. The bed had not been made and the dirty linen was still sitting on the floor. There were no towels in the bathroom. After calling down to the front desk we were advised they would give us a new room which they did.
We visited their restaurant downstairs and found the prices to be pricey. My husband order the Nachos and was very dissapppointed with the way his food looked and the way it smelled. Needless to say, he did not eat it and wasted $13.00.
The following morning we did not receive our billing statement. When I went down to the front desk to return my key and requested a receipt, he printed out the statement which belonged to another quest and not the room that we were in.
I had to call back to the hotel to verify we were in fact checked out.

When the owner himself came to pick up our family of five at the Albuquerque Airport in the middle of a snowstorm, I was very impressed by such personalised and attentive service. The terrible travel experience of having our departing flight out of Albuquerque cancelled turned into a pleasant stay thanks to the amazing service and personalized attention by the Holiday Inn owner and his entire staff. Everyone made us feel at home, and looked after all of our needs throughout our entire stay. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room were perfect distractions for our children. The room was so comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful, and the green chill enchiladas were delicious! We are very grateful for the personalised attention at the Holiday Inn, and highly recommend staying there. Thank you.

My experience was positive. The hotel and the rooms were clean, the bedding comfortable, the noise level not too bad considering it is right next to the airport.
I would stay here again to catch an early morning flight
