Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jason39 Great food and bar area.
I've stayed several times at this hotel in the past. It is overall very good and Mary in the bar is very nice and I always make a point of stopping by. This time she was off and a lady named Rio (I believe that's correct) was working the bar and made it a fun experience for me and everyone else in the bar. She was great! We also ate, and there was a young lady named Veronica working in the restaurant. She was very friendly and provided great customer service. These two women took what would have been an otherwise typical boring night in a hotel and made it a very pleasant experience. I'll come back again for the great service and friendly faces alone.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by PFF26 Second stay in a month
We were through Albuquerque twice in a month. Both times we stayed at the Holiday Inn. The first visit was very good. Room was clean, no problems.
The second visit, the room was not as clean. Dust on lamps that had been there for a while. Areas of the room that had not been vacuumed good. Electrical outlets that didn't work.
Usually some of these things we overlook, but my husband has a medical condition that needs a clean environment.
We just felt on the second visit we were not as happy with the housekeeping and upkeep of the room.
Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wendy1968 overall an ok stay...
At check-in the staff were nice enough...when arriving in the room, the room was nice enough.
We had gone to dinner and come back to enjoy a nice hot bath in the jet-tub, to find that it had a hole in the back (I mean a large hole- like 3 inches across), that of which had been patched with TAPE??????
After getting things together (we had a 5am flight), and getting ready for bed I went to get the coffee pot ready to find 4 packs of coffee- all DECAF??? I called the front desk to see if I could get some regular coffee, where they told me to come down to the desk to get it...wow, at this point I was pretty frustrated. So getting dressed, I go downstairs to get the coffee, and when I arrive, a girl says she will go with me to the supply closet on the next floor to get the coffee for me...the door to the closet would not open, and I was told to go to my room, and she would BRING IT TO ME!
The next morning, the shuttle to the airport was waiting on us, very nice, helpful, gentleman.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Aaron56 ,Breakfast buffet, uncomfortable rooms, some staff needs more training
We had made reservations by calling this hotel directly in August and was quoted prices and the government rate was the cheapest, was told 1 person in room had to have government ID which my husband has, when we arrived the room was not ready but they found a room ready & when we opened the door it was a suite instead of 2 queen beds, there was 4 of us, finally we got the right room but 1 bed is totally against the wall which was terrible you either have to crawl over the person in bed or crawl up from the foot, very uncomfortable. Had to ask for extra towels finally at 10:00 PM that night we got them. Breakfast buffet was suppose to be complimentary but on Sun. we were told we had to pay $4.95 it was not posted anywhere. The bacon was burnt, eggs were dried up, if any at all, not worth paying for. We checked out on Sun. confirmed reservations for Fri. Oct. 4th, still with 4 people and government rate but was told at time of check-in, because of special event we had to have government travel orders, instead ID, never was mentioned on original reservations or when we confirmed on the previous Sun., finally got room but had to pay more. Staff needs more training and the manager needs to learn to talk to people professionally and listen to the customer. It was not posted anywhere about rates being higher during special events.

We stayed at this location for two nights while visiting Santa Fe for the first time. Our rooms were very nice and clean. There were always snacks available in the lobby area-warm cookies along with chips and salsa. A great location near shopping and dining.

Unfortunately during our stay the toilet in the bathroom stopped up, this was at about 2:30 in the afternoon. I reported the issue to the front desk, and was told it would be taken care of. We left to shop around town and returned at 8:30 to find that the toilet was still stopped up. We reported the issue to the front desk, and they told us that housekeeping was now gone for the day. They brought us a plunger a half an hour later so that we could resolve the issue ourselves. Needless to say, we were not happy with the way the situation was handled.

I have been to this hotel many times, and had the chance to visit there again last week. I am happy to report that the property lives up to my memory. Rooms are very nice, clean and modern. Beds are very comfortable. Very close to the airport and convenient shuttle that will bring you there and/or pick you up at the car rental. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The lobby is huge and bar/food are decent. This is the best place to stay near the airport or for points south of Albuquerqe. Will definitely stay there any time I am back in ABQ.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Manager was not very good.
I discussed problems with the manager over the breakfast served and he got belligerent. I have stayed at this facility many times and have friends and coworkers who do also. I have told many of them to not use this motel anymore. The rest of the staff was very nice but the manager (I believe his name was Robert ) is the reason that for the first time in many years I have written something negative about Holiday Inns. He instantly became rude to me and the rest of the staff. I will continue to use Holiday Inns but just not this location.

Close to the airport, easy to get to, probably staff, and typical holiday in express service and amenities. Close to what you need to be close to at a rate that is more than appropriate for the area and amenities.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GrandpaJeff nice place plush rooms great service
Everything in our stay was really nice other than the pool. We had chose this hotel due to the pool and jacuzzi. We decided to go for a swim about 8pm and went down to the pool. There was about 15 kids in the pool, 4 adults sitting around the edge so we decided to jacuzzi. Wow even worse, there was about 10 people in the jacuzzi around the edges and 3 people in the middle because there was no place more to sit. I really wonder if they were all staying there or if just part of a family was staying there and they invited all there relatives over because they all seamed to know each other. We tried again later at 9 and just gave up and went to bed. On a good note, the buffet breakfast was the best I have had in along time. Everything was delicious. The room and bed was top notch also. Other than pool, we enjoyed our stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Ricky2Jo Paper Thin Walls
I will say that our suite was very nice. However, the walls were so thin that we could hear the conversation of the people next door. They had their tv on all night, which kept us awake. When the people above us walked across the floor, it sounded like they were stomping, it was so loud. Nice hotel. Too bad it was so poorly constructed.
Also, the main reason we chose this Holiday Inn was because the workout facilities. They were not anything like what we were told would be there. Of the 3 machines they did have, 2 were broken. There were no towels in the pool area. We had to go upstairs to the front desk and were told they were all in the laundry. The Jacuzzi pool was barely luke warm and only 1 jet worked. Very disappointing.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lab4479 Worst HIE I've have ever stayed in. Poor customer dervice
My wife and daughters joined me staying at this hotel. We upgraded to a suite. I am a Platinum memeber so I stay at these HIE every week. The staff would not bring us any pillows or sheets and blankets for the pull out bed for my daughters to sleep in. They were just down right rude. Lights were burnt out and constantly flickering. I had to go to the front desk and demand pillows and blankets. I haved NEVER been treated so poorly by a hotel staff in my life. Uncomfortable beds here, poor television reception and so noisy.
I can not believe this hotel is allowed to be a HIE?????

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TeamWW Better than last time
Our last stay at this hotel was less than stellar. This time the attention to detail by the cleaning and maintenance staff seems to have improved. The rooms are very nice and the staff manning the front desk are very professional. The bar area is still way too bright and while we were there it had a family with kids making a mess, so we left. "Thank goodness for Applebee's a mile away." It was our last stop before heading home and the room was nice and comfortable which really counts.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by swco40 needs improvement
The airport shuttle and front desk were fine. Room OK, but bathroom quite small, amenities skimpy. Bath door had a loud squeek, so woke others up. In the morning there was foul smelling leftover food in the hallway from room service--YUK!
The breakfast buffet was NOT included--it cost $8.95 for lukewarm eggs, overcooked meats and stale pastries. There were pesky flies in the dining area.
I would not stay here again, as there are numerous hotels in the area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by weathergirl Beautiful suite with great service
The staff was extremely friendly and caring. Because of my great experience with the staff at the Sacramento, CA J Street hotel, we booked our family vacation at the Holiday Inn Sunport. Even though we were so very close to the airport, we rarely heard the planes taking off and landing. The indoor pool was wonderful and large enough for a number of people to share at the same time. The staff at the both the restaurant and the bar were really wonderful. When a mistake was made, it was corrected immediately. The rooms were great with a good size bathroom and plenty of space for a weeklong stay! More than enough room for 3 adults for a week and space to entertain friends and family! I was extremely sorry to leave, it was a memorable experience.

When we first got into the room there was something on the floor, like food crumbs of some sort.. everything was very expensive. The hotel pool and spa, was actually a nice thing, the sauna was so relaxing and that is one part of the stay I won't forget.
