Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK but could be better My stay was average. There were some minor irritants. The carpet was a bit worn. The sink leaked which wet the Kleenex and was not able to use those. The water pipes were extremely loud, to the point where if next door was showering I had to turn up the volume on my TV to hear it. We found out from a coworker staying at a competitor hotel that he was paying less and had a free breakfast which we did not have. He was also provided with a to-go goody bag every morning with a muffin and some other nice extras which we did not have. Overall this facility should lower their rate or add some extras. If I return, I will be staying at a competitor hotel. The staff was extremely pleasant and there are no complaints in this area. July 20, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing We were four men on a golf weekend and did not get the rooms we booked and confirmed with the hotel at the time of booking. Our only option was to take rooms with one bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed did not allow for a comfortable sleep and made it difficult to move around in the room when it was in use. The hotel gave us a discount on the rooms but had there been another acceptable accommodation option at another hotel we would have taken it. The hotel was over sold and we paid the price. Sorry HI Amherst there won't be a return visit. July 15, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not upto standards This is an older property which is in dire need of makeover. Carpets are all old and stained, furniture is of poor quality, plastic cups in guest rooms, no elevator. I regret not going to holiday inn express. Don't be fooled by labels. July 15, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK stay, but some bad points We enjoyed a clean comfortable room on our family vacation, but there were a few things that we didn't like. There was no luggage rack in the room. We only stayed one night and failed to get a receipt under our door in the morning. When we asked the front desk for a copy of the receipt, they weren't able to and told us that they had to wait an hour for a manager to arrive. Apparently, the night shift failed to deliver the receipt. I was also not crazy about the lack of an elevator and a free breakfast. July 12, 2015
