Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight before flight from AMS Hotel felt a little tired. The staff at reception were very attentive at both arrival and departure. Dinner and Breakfast were a disappointment. Both felt rushed and the surroundings were below standard. The Breakfast in particular suffered from being in a room that was not able to cope with the numbers of people to be catered for, the result was insufficient seating and breakfast supplied constantly depleted. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient comfortable stay. Had a great 2 night stay at this hotel for a weekend in April. Location is great - able to jump on a 10/15 minute tram into Amsterdam city centre very easily round the corner from the hotel. We ate in the hotel as a group of 5 one night of the stay - Menu was small although food tasted great. The rooms were very clean, fresh towels every day of our stay with comfortable beds - Staff accommodated well to ourself adding an extra person into one of the rooms late after booking. Welcome gifts in the room were a much appreciated touch. Only downside is the traffic noise from the main road outside however this is expected with the central location. Overall a great stay at Holiday Inn and hope to be back soon! April 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel After staying at the Crowne Plaza last time I visited Amsterdam with my wife, I was expecting less from the Holiday Inn. I was very impressed with the attitude of the staff, the ease of getting to the city centre by tram, the quality of food and the bed was actually more comfortable. The only reason I would stay in the crowne Plaza over this hotel in the future is proximity to the centre. Overall a very enjoyable stay! April 23, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Spring 2015 I'm giving this stay an average grade. It was not spectacular nor was it awful. Location was good for what we needed in order to see Holland. Food was way overpriced in the restaurant and overly Americanized. Free drink offered as a Gold member did not include hard spirits like vodka or rum or gin or whiskey - only some Dutch gin-like spirit plus house wine or beer. Room maintenance was not consistent. Plastic cups were not replaced even after requesting and coffee cups used were not washed. Room was hot - AC did not exist or non functional. Had to call maintenance to open the window with a special key just to breath. Parking was inadequate unless you were driving a smart car. Staff was cheerful and helpful and lobby was clean. Internet was a terrible hassle. If you phone/pad went to sleep then you had to log in with password again. Very 1990's. April 20, 2015
