This hotel lived up to our expectations of Holiday Inn. The room was well appointed and comfortable and the staff was quite pleasant and helpful. The breakfast bar was excellent and started each of our 2 days in Amsterdam well. Public transportation is very near the hotel (about 3 minute walk to nearest tram station and 5 minutes to the train). It is also located near the highway for easy access. All in all, a great stay in a great city.

The Holiday Inn Amsterdam is a modern hotel with all the normal facilities. I particularly liked the bar which had a friendly and relaxing
air about it. The reception staff were very helpful and most friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. I did not appreciate having to pay Euro 29 just to watch normal TV and chose not to.
The bed was enormous but I didn't like the four small pillows as my head get falling off of them. I would have preferred normal size pillows. The extractor fan in the bathroom remained on all night which I found irritating especially as I suffer with Tinnitus and any constant noise is very disturbing. I realised that to stop everything from working I should have removed the key card from the mains slot. Fortunately with the bathroom door shut the extractor fan noise was minimal. I cannot comment on the restaurant as it was fully booked. All in all I liked the Holiday Inn and would stay again on my next visit to Amsterdam.

I really appreciated the environment created by the Holiday Inn leadership in Amsterdam. The staff was great. The room was comfortable. The location was convenient by train and by tram.

Recently stayed and had a Business meeting at this hotel. The staff was incredible. All were very attentive and accomodating with a smile. The room was quiet and clean.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by picmartin One of the better Holiday Inns, very well located between the city centre and Schiphol airport.
We stayed a few times already and we like the hotel.
Being a platinum member we get a wonderful upgrade to an executive room. Staff at the desk helpfull and friendly. Overall very friendly.
We often arrive late and hurry to the bar for a good glass of the housewine and the late night snacks!

We just spent a few nights (breakfast included) but everything was great: the staff was really nice and comprehensive, the room was clean (and cleaned everyday) and quiet.
Breakfast was very good too, an all-you-can-eat buffet with various choices.
Even if it the hotel is located in the south of Amsterdam, it's not really a problem because a tram and a metro station are very close.
Only one thing was missing... free wifi at least in the lobby? (too expensive)

We were here for a weekend. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpfull. The bed was very comfy and the room was nice.
The public transport was closeby so within 15 minutes we were in the centre of Amsterdam.
Breakfast was good. Enough choiche. Only the number of seats could be better.

I thought Holiday Inn was a budget style hotel but this was quite the opposite with a lovely room and bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful with travel advice both before my visit and during my stay. The location is very convenient for both the airport and city centre with extremely good transport links. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to sleep ONLY... Other than that, the food was too expensive compared to what you got out in town. Wifi Internet didn't work. Not enough towels in the room. AC unit was broken for 2 days and there were no type of compensation offered by the hotel for the discomfort.

I get to Amsterdam on business a lot but now took my family to do a tourist long weekend.
What a great city and what a fantastic location the Holiday Inn has to do this.
Walking, biking, taxi or most practical The Tram to go around town.
Staff is great, very friendly, rooms spacious and very clean. Breakfast has a large selection (although some more cereals appreciated) and is efficiently run.
Nice bar for unwinding.

We recently booked a double queen room and enjoyed the stay overall. About 10 minutes walking distance are a lot of different restaurants. About 5 minutes to the tram No 4 which brings you within 15-18 minutes all the way through town to the central station. The service of the front desk was really good and the breakfast left no wishes open. Breakfast was very good for 10Euro/person and I would definitely recommend it! Negative about this hotel were only a few things: - Room size: The rooms are nice but our double queen room was so small that we had to manuver around each other to get to the bathroom. The parking space on the hotel parking lot is very limited (25 - 30cars) and it cost 20 Euro extra plus fees and taxes a total of 29 EURO/night. There is parking garage right at the hotel but it's 40 Euro a night!! Nobody mentioned the limited parking lot or the costs upfront. Well, we learned something again.

The WiFi in the room would have been expensive but it didn't work at all and so cost nothing. Most similar hotels would have had free wi-fi in the lobby but it was not available. There was one free terminal in the business center. The amenities that one would expect at a Holiday Inn in the US were not present. (shampoo and conditioner). The towel supply was sparse. Only one bath towel and one face towel was supplied in a double room until an additional towel was requested. No wash cloth.

WiFi was much expensive. 22 euros for 24 hours is too much. Many hotels offer free WiFi or just like 5 euros/ 24 hours.
Same problem was in England when we tour there. "Rahastuksen makua" as we Finns say.

Dinner in the resturant was ok, but very ordinary, and not worth the prize.
Internet connection did not work well, slow and often disconnected itself (i could check my emails, but not work like i needed). Most hotell have free WiFi today, so 20 euros for a bad connection was a disapoinment.

Spent one night in an executive room at 14th floor with a splendid view. Convenient location, friendly & helpfull staff, extensive breakfast and a very comfortable bed. I was pleased with the overall experience.

Spend a saturday night at the hotel because I needed to be in A'dam city center.
Checked in by a lovely girl with a big smile on her face which went smoothly. Had a room next to the elevators but didn't hear a sound when i was inside the room. Nice size room with a big bathroom and a nice view. It's located a 3 minutes walk from the A'dam RAI station which was great. Taxi to Leidscheplein was only 12 € in the middle of the night and only 7 minutes away. Breakfast was perfect. Nice freshly made eggs, fresh ruit to make pressed juice and a huge variety of warm and cold products.
As I was a bit late for my train I asked the reception if I could have an express check-out which lasted not more than 2 minutes which made me get to my train in time!!! Thanks alot.

I stay in this Holiday Inn quite often and I like it. Location is perfect!
Warm welcome,big rooms and especially the executive rooms are nicely decorated.
I like the snacks they serve late in the evening and the friendliness of the staff in the bar.

This hotel is a decent property, the only issues I have are that the beds aren't really that comfortable and the hotel is limited on their food selection in the restaurant. The hotel staff was very friendly and their service was impeccable. We arrived vary early from an international flight and we were able to get checked in. We did have to upgrade to an executive suite, but it was worth the 50 euro, better room, internet included and breakfast. The room itself was fine, the only issue we had that the bed was hard and the pillows weren't the most comfortable. Really close to Amsterdam RAI station, which makes it convenient for getting around.

Not been to Amsterdam for 6 months, Walked in,Ingrid remembered my name and had me booked in to a great room in minutes..... shortly after I arrived in bar and again greeted by name by Zia and Leo .... and by choice of beer delivered . Polite conversation had my directions to restaurant sorted. Thanks for the wonderful service ... see you when ever I have to be in the Netherlands - Never get this level of service anywhere else

A hotel I have used before as it is very convenient for the RAI conference centre. The staff are good and the rooms a good standard however the restaurant is somewhat lacking in terms of choice of dishes. There is a reasonable gym. There is parking outside although with no security or CCTV, I had my car broken into during the stay which is regretfully a big problem in Amsterdam and around the RAI in particular.
This is a hotel I can recommend for anybody attending an event at the RAI or seeking a convenient business hotel

Had a one night stay at the hotel, excellent location at the edge of the city with fast access into town (5 min cab)
Had a great executive room on the 15th floor, excellent views.
Staff is very attentive and friendly.

Since 2002 this is my first and maybe my last time staying at this old, not mantained and overpriced Holiday Inn in Amsterdam.
Now i know that i didnt loose all those years that coudnt manage to book in this hotel.
In such conditions, i will never stay there.
There are many other hotel chains with a far better confort and price in Amsterdam.

The staff at this hotel were fabulous! We had a difficult personal situation arise, and the staff helped us pull through it. Without them, I'm not sure what would have happened. The hotel is near a local train station, so it was very easy to get downtown. We loved Amsterdam and would definitely recommend this hotel.
