Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel for a family headed to Disneyland!! We have stayed at this hotel our last two visits to Disneyland and have been very happy with the hotel. Service is great, front desk staff went above and beyond were very friendly and let us stay in a two room suite for part of our stay since it was available. Kids eat free with a paying adult, a very nice bonus! Menu options were good, everyone had a variety of appetites and everyone was able to find something, and every meal we had was very tasty! Wait staff was fun, talked to the kids cracked a few jokes and service was great. We came home from Disneyland late one night and we very happy that they have pizza available for order until 1:00, and it was really good! Rooms are clean, beds were very comfortable! Pool is nice perfect for a cool down and a break from the park. I have recommended this hotel to friends! We had a shuttle pass to Disneyland but the walk is very short the youngest child (6) in our group had not problem walking thru the park all day and then walking to the hotel. June 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great suites! We stayed here for two nights while we visited Disneyland and the hotel was very accommodating and comfortable. June 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hospitality Coming from Tennessee, I have to brag on the hospitality of the staff at this location! It began with recognition of our Platinum Priority Club status and continued throughout our stay. We were always greeted warmly when we entered the lobby. Our family had many conversations with the staff about our day, our experiences, where we were from, where we were going (Thanks Tom for directing us to Huntington Beach for the sunset - it was beautiful!). Our King Suite was clean and comfortable. The walk to Disneyland was very nice - shaded streets, wide enough sidewalk, and we felt safe walking back closer to midnight. It was a good 15 minute walk - keep in mind that we are 3 adults (ages 50, 46, & 21) and in good shape and the weather was perfect! We loved the flavored water in the lobby - a nice treat that we are replicating at home. The only thing that disappointed us was the quality of food in the restaurant - specifically the chicken fingers/tenders - they looked like a piece of chopped and formed chicken pattie cut into strips. We are already planning a trip back out in a few years and plan on staying here again. Thanks for helping us make great memories! June 28, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not close to disney when you call they make it sound like they are walking distance to Disney land but that is not entirely true, it took us 20 minutes to walk, I was disappointed with this, I felt mislead. Also, the lot next door was under construction which made sleeping in impossible. June 24, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor experience If you are looking for a place to stay while at Disney look somewhere else. This hotel nickel's and dime's you to death. I am a platinum member and they wanted to charge us just to use the business office... June 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Room and Location Family was very pleased with the room. We had the Pirate Theme room and it was amazing. Food was also very good. June 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 1st Timers Wow...very impressed! We hadn't stayed here before and have a new favorite. Since we are now Disneyland Annual Passholders, we need a nice, affordable place to stay! Love it...thank you for a great welcome!!! June 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel, Awesome location, Poor customer service This hotel was very family friendly. We rented a King suite and it was very suitable for our family of 5. We would definitely stay here again but not because of any outgoing customer service. Mostly because the hotel was very well kept together. The only thing that was unpleasant about our stay was the hotels front desk clerks. We showed up a day early checking in at 1 am and the night clerk was a little odd but sadly was more outgoing then the staff that was there regularly during the day. They all wore a pin that said, "Am I a 10?" but NONE of them were putting out any outstanding customer service. Which is slightly a bummer when you go on vacation and your just trying to have some good positive vibes. Working in customer service I could see some opportunities for coaching and development. I hope that Holiday Inn sees my post and tries to improve their staff because this hotel REALLY is a GREAT hotel. If you can get past poor customer service I would still recommend this hotel. FYI: There is a morning buffet that has everything that is on the menu. The buffet wasn't advertised when we went and when we asked about it the server seemed to be annoyed. Save some money and check out the buffet before ordering. June 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Would change the small pillows for larger ones on the king size bed. Need a softer, larger pillow and would have brought my own but expecting this to be provided. June 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely wonderful! We are annual passholders for Disneyland and since we live 2 hours away, we love to stay in hotels near Disneyland to have a "mini vacation" with our kids. We have tried MANY hotels trying to find just the right one and after a year of trying different ones, we finally found it! This hotel has the nicest staff and a very comfortable atmosphere and even the hotel restaurant had really good food! Thank you for making our mini vacation and good one! We will DEFINITELY be back! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor value Was charged $11.50 a day to park. No refrigerator in room. Other rooms had complimentary newspapers at their door daily. We did not. Hidden fees and taxes added 30 per cent to total room cost. No complimentary breakfast common with most hotels today. Do not recommend staying here. June 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mini vacation took the mini vacation to get away for the weekend. Ive stay here before and liked it. so in. we tried it again we weren't disappointed. in fact we found out that they are adding a splash pool . we are probably staying here again and yes we recommended it. staff are great, bar is well stocked. restaurant is alright. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed 1. Too many hidden costs, never ever had that experience before 2. Too small of a room no space to manipulate in. 3. No refrig. Like I'm accustomed to have or micro. 4. The wall paper coming off walls in, what was the smallest, Restroom I have ever experienced , other than the ones at my Construction site. 5. I guess had I gotten down to eat, the buffet breakfast would had Been warm. 6. When I arrived, the first day, one room a/c did it work, easy fix, Another room the tv did not work, easy fix. Another room was Grossly dirty the cleaned yet. The good part management was on the fixes almost immediately. Staff was was great and room service was also good. I have decided that I will not being going to the Las Vegas trip To hear about their vacation package June 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location and service we were looking for a close location to Disney with good service, kind people and comfortable beds. We got them during our visit, personnel was always kind and helpull. breakfast was good , considering that we were travelling with our twins. May 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ok stay This place charges you for parking for everyday that you stay. Its ok if you are going to the parks. I most likley will not return to this location May 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service Great place to stay, close to park and shuttle worked out great. May 27, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Our week I the Disney area When we arrived we had booked for a family of 5. I had phone the property before booking to check if this was ok, and was told yes that's all fine. When we arrived I was told no we could do this. Thank go we had a nice young man trying to do everything he could o help us. In the n we were put in a room with 2 double beds and a rollaway. We could hardly move it was horrible. I spoke to the same young man the next day and he let me go and have a look at he 1 bedroom suit. Long story short we had the 1 bedroom suite for the last 3 nights of a 7 day stay. Other then that it's an easy walk to,Disney and we had a great time. May 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Service Short Walk Excellent service, desk help was great (Fernando) quick and able to take care of all questions and was very welcoming to everyone. Jose in the dining area, I think he was also the bartender one evening, was a happy face each time I saw him, made it feel very comfortable. Close to Disney and it was an easy walk to Downtown Disney, best part was it's not along the major streets like Harbor, so it was a quiet walk each morning and evening. May 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel My family and I love this hotel. Everything at this hotel is perfect. The rooms are just great and the beds are so comfortable. The rooms are big and are great to relax in after a day at disneyland. The pool is a terrific plus for the family and the food is wonderful at Onyx. We love staying at this resort and will come back many times. We have stayed at many hotels in the area and the others do not compare to this hotel. The staff is excellent and take care of every little detail. We cannot wait to visit again. Great Job Holiday Inn!!! May 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Our Go-To Disneyland Accomodations The rooms are nice, but not luxurious. Everything was clean and in working order. Location is fantastic!--a nice, easy walk to Disneyland. May 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by staff was great With trying a new hotel. It was a good hotel the staff was great and very helpful. The hotel was kept clean. The walk was good but after a long day at the park it seemed very long walking back with younger kids and no stroller. The shuttle bus to disney main gate was much easier. They were a bit slow in picking up other peoples room service trays which sat in the hallway, but other than that it was a good clean friendly hotel. We all enjoyed our stay there. May 15, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and safe feeling My family and I recently stayed at this location near Disneyland...and it was GREAT! Clean, safe, nice staff, nice rooms, and close to Disneyland! I recommend this location to anyone planning a visit to Disneyland, especially families. Kids ate free in the hotel restaurant, so that was a bonus! May 14, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 1st time guest The hotel was average. The place seems to be a bit old and could use a little updating in the rooms. The coffee in the room was not good at all. The staff were all very nice and attentive. The restaurant was very good. May 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by businessman staying near Disneyland If one can accept having many families at the hotel then this is a great hotel for the value for a businessman. Centrally located to many business areas of southern CA with easy freeway access. May 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent, very clean, kids friendly This is our second year to stay in Holiday Inn Anaheim when visiting Disneyland. We came back because last year we had a great experience, very clean rooms, nice staff. The same this year, super clean and fresh rooms, AC works excellent. Nice pool and restaurant. Only one thing this time I didn't like, the staff at the reception, I don't know if they change the people this year but the men at the reception were kind of rude when checking in. I made our reservations with our debit card but tried to pay with cash or another card at time of check in, the man at the front told me it was not possible, I understand, but he seemed kind of rude, so, we pay for the first night and the next day same problem with other guy on the reception and when checking out same problem again, they just didn't have the same nice, friendly style of last year. I'm not sure if coming back next year or maybe just go to other hotel when the staff is more open to help the guests. May 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service. Housekeeping staff was very nice! They gave us great ideas for Disney Parks. After two long days of parks, pool was excellent to relax. On the look for next year! May 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service Front Desk was great for check inn and help. Room good size for the 5 of us. VERY close to Disneyland Free shuttles. May 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay for Disneyland. Location is great. Only a 15 minute walk to Downtown Disneyland or a 10 minute walk to the Disney parking shuttle. Staff was friendly and met needs when room change needed to occur. Hotel had nice pool area. Even with construction (next door and in parking lot for splash pad addition) noise was not an issue. General Manager went out of his way to offer great customer service. May 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely Clean Rooms and Great Value For Your Money The rooms are extremely clean and bedding was very comfortable...the pillows are a bit small but it didn't bother was actually perfect size for our three children. The hotel is located behind the Disneyland Parking Garage so it was so convinet to drive to the Garage the day we were headed to California Adventures. If you have young children I do not advise you to walk from the hotel to the Disneyland or California Adventure Front takes about 20 minutes to walk and that's walking fast. So I advise park in the garage if you have a vehicle for $15.00 or take the shuttle at the hotel that cost money per person round trip. I would say our only disappointment staying at this hotel was the hotels restaurant it was extremely pricey for the value of food you get...the kids eat free breakfast and free dinner your entire stay. The breakfast is totally worth it and very good but the dinner was tasted like it came straight from the microwave. Even know the kids eat free you think your getting a great bargain but your not you might as well just eat at McDonalds and save money. I recommend if you have time to eat at Huntington Beach Pier Rubys Diner it was the BEST!!!!!!! So our over all stay here was so worth the money...why pay extra money just so you can sleep/shower in a room on the busy Harbor Drive...this hotel is away from the crowds but yet still close enough to get to Disneyland/California Adventures. BTW Cars Land was amazing...the Racers Ride was like riding on a roller tip for you is to go straight to the racers ride and ask for a fast pass and then return at the time it saids...we waited like 10 minutes in line by doing that...I recommend doing that for all the rids...also get the fast pass for the Water Color Show at night if fills up fast...the sooner you get your fast pass then you return to the Color Section to view it if not your left on the sidewalk and can not see the show that well. ok enjoy your stay. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed In my online reservation I requested a quiet room as I am a very light sleeper. We checked in about 3:30-4 PM and was given a suite by the pool and on the corner of the ground floor next to the exit. I had asked for a different room but I was told that there was no availability. The room itself was nice. But, between the pool noise, pool music and the trampling above our heads it was a miserable evening. The front desk responded quickly however when the hot tub was filled with noisy guest after 10 PM. But, when my teens came in ~12:30 from Disneyland with a question for the front desk, there was no front desk staff to be found, at least I didn't see anyone when I went to the lobby to get the kids. The food was good, the wait staff and cleaning ladies were very friendly. May 4, 2013
