Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wisereis GREAT TIME!
The only problem I had was being charged for the parking at the hotel. I do believe that is not good business for your guess. Also I think you should talk to the check in man who had very bad breath. I do believe he shouldn't talk to people with his mouth. Otherwise we had a very good time and will come back again. Loved the shuttle to disneyland etc.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by gil1908 OK location but small rooms
Location is good, but not great. It's about 10-15 minutes walk to Downtown Disney, and from there it's another 10 minute walk to the park entrance for either Disneyland or Adventure Park. It's a reasonable walk but still somehow I got the impression it's going to be closer.
Unlike other Holiday Inn I've stayed in (I am a Platinum Priority Club member) this one has particularly small rooms. I really felt that the space was a little too disturbing. Also, the room did not have neither a fridge nor a microwave. These need to be ordered separately and are extra charge ($10 per appliance per night!). I was also given the impression that there are not enough of these to go by so I need to decide quickly. The fridge, btw, is amazingly small. I bet that for the price of using it for 5 nights you can probably buy a new one.
The staff is great. Very friendly and helpful and this is commendable, especially given the fact that this is a huge hotel (comparing to other HI i've stayed in) and the "traffic" at the front desk is pretty busy. I would definitely like to put in a good word for each and every member of the staff including the front desk, cleaning ladies and housekeeping.
The room itself was nothing to write home about. Pretty standard. The shower is very plain but the water pressure and temperature is excellent.
The elevators are old and slow and wait is too long. Wi-fi reception in my room was very bad (tried several devices) and there were too many technical problems with the network including some major downtime that was fixed the next day. I also don't like that you need to re login almost every time you connect. I would like to stay connected for more than one day.
I was disappointed that parking is at extra cost too, and that shuttles to other parks like Universal and SeaWorld are so expensive and charged by person instead of by family. I mean, if I take a taxi it would be less and they don't charge me by person.
As in other HI hotels, breakfast is NOT included but there are many places for breakfast within 10-15 minute walk.
Overall, I would NOT recommend this one. Unlike other HI hotels, value is questionable. Room rates are not that attractive (given the small rooms and other stuff I mentioned) and lots of stuff come at extra cost. I would rather pay more and get a close hotel to the parks with bigger, more comfortable rooms.
Last request: Holiday Inn, as a platinum member I expect more than a bottle of water when I check in (that you sell in your store for 99 cents for crying out loud!!).

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Kelly501 1 block from Disneyland deceiving
This hotel was a big disappointment. We booked it because of the price and it's claim to be one block (walking distance# from Disneyland. If that was one block it was the longest block I have ever walked in my life. We were a group of 4 adults- no kids and no health restrictions that would make the walk difficult. We did the walk one day only and then ended up paying for the shuttle bus the rest of the days. I have stayed at the hotels across from the "main gate" before and to me, that is one block. This walk back to the hotel was not something we ended up wanting to do after a long day of walking around the parks. Also, the street you have to walk down seemed a bit unsafe in the dark. There were not a lot of people walking in that area and the lighting was dim. As for the room itself, the biggest negative is the noise/thin walls. Neither my husband nor I fell asleep until about 3AM two out of the three nights because of the constant noise from kids running around above us #until 2am# and the noise from showers running. My husband even recorded the noise the neighboring shower was making because it seemed excessively loud. The cleanliness did not seem to be the best either- one day we came back into our room and our clean towels, which appeared to have been stacked on the closed toilet lid, had fallen off the toilet onto the floor next to it. One other minor thing to note- the hotel does not have standard sized pillows. The pillows are tiny, square pillows that seem more like they belong on a couch. They were not comfortable #big enough) for any of us and the hotel did not even have regular ones available upon request. The hotel restaurant was pretty good and there is a gas station mini mart around the corner for snack items and drinks at cheaper prices than the gift shop. All in all, this is not a horrible hotel if you are looking for a decent price, but it was not as nice as the website made it out to be. I would not stay there again due to the location and the problems with the room itself.

Great place if you have young kids. Although our booking was messed up (wrong bed configuration) the staff went well above and beyond to fix it and even upgraded us for a great room, loved it, thanks for making our stay special :)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SanJoaquin Perfect location for business conference at Disneyland Hotel Conference Center
I really like this Holiday Inn's location - easy walk to the conference center in the Disneyland Hotel, and half the cost of staying there. This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and my rooms have always been clean and quiet, the staff is professional and helpful, ample parking, easy freeway access from any direction.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Soundchic Holiday Inn near Disneyland
For a disneyland friendly hotel its pretty classy. It was nicer than I expected, but you do get the classiness at a cost. The restaurant was good. You can see the Disneyland fireworks from there, and they have TV's at the booths. The business center charges for computer use, and the gift shop is slightly pricy. The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff are very friendly. The room is pretty standard.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by majesticbbw great location...but....
When i checked in to the hotel the staff noticed that somehow i was put in a room with 1 twin. There were two of us, so that wouldnt work. They upgraded us to a better room at no charge. I was very happy with that. However, when I checked out, I was hit with a surprise parking fee. They failed to inform me of this when I checked in. That took my excellent stay to a negative one when I left. I dont like being hit with hidden fees, so i will NEVER be staying there again.

Felicidades al Gerente por que el personal se ve que trabaja feliz en este Hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LynnCA Good for the Price
My family and I have annual passes to Disneyland/California Adventure Park. We try to go to the parks at least once or twice per month. We live less than two hours from the parks and choose to stay the night for convenience. We are loyal Holiday Inn guests/ Priority Club member. We have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times. The staff is courteous and make you feel at home. The restaurant has a variety of food selections and the prices are reasonable. The only thing I dislike are the pillows...they are not comfortable at all. If you choose to stay at this Holiday Inn, you may want to bring your own pillow! Other than that, I have no complaints at all. It is really close to the park tram or you can use the hotel shuttle.

The suite room that we stayed in is so outdated. Crack in the ceiling, bathroom is so small for the suite , draperies are dusty . Sofabed is so uncomfortable , blankets has big holes on it , pillows is so small and not comfortable . I hope that the manager will take action and bring the rooms up to date make it clean and comfortable for the price that we are paying.
The location great!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by J2462 Good value and close to Disney Parks
We stayed here before (4 1/2 years ago). Nice improvements to the lobby area and new bar/restaurant since then. It's a nice quiet stay with clean rooms and a well kept pool area. Close proximity to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Save the parking fees at the parks and walk. Just as close to the trams as you would be if you parked there for $15 per day.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Marri Can be noisy
I've stayed here a number of times in the past and have been satisfied with the staff, facilities and the central location to my destination.
Great location if you are a family on a Disneyland vacation! But if you are on business or need some quiet time, this may not be the place. Excited, noisy children running the halls, percussion of the nightly fireworks, loud talking vacationers returning to their rooms very late from a day at D-land, slamming doors. Then the same people arising very early to be the first in line for breakfast and back to the park are once again slamming doors and talking loudly in the halls.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by gfbigsur98 Comfortable bed and quiet rooms
The room was clean and nice. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star is there is no refrigerator in the room. Seems kind of a standard in most rooms near Disneyland but I'm not complaining because I didn't check to see if there were refrigerators (just assumed). It's a bit farther from the other hotels we stayed at but my kids kinda liked walking away from the crowds on Harbor Blvd. We all slept comfortably and it was quiet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sailorswife Easy Walk to Disneyland
The staff is kind enough to provide a map to get you to the resort. It's about a block to the Disneyland Hotel and Mickey and Friends parking garage. You can walk through Downtown Disney or catch the parking garage tram. Expect to take about 20 to 30 minutes to walk to the park gates. But for the price of the room, I was willing to hoof it a bit and not break the piggy bank for a Disney Resort Hotel.
One tiny draw back was a High School Marching band was staying in the wing I was in the 1st night. It was a zoo with the kids running around, banging on doors at all hours of the night and disrupting my sleep. This is more a reflection of the school and not of the hotel. But try book the large groups all together and please leave the families out of that floor/building if at all possible. The 2nd night it was quiet as could be. So either the school had checked out or the hotel staff had spoken to the chaperones.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Kruzzerman Average Stay
It's Holiday Inn near Disneyland, so as long as tht is your expectation you'll be fine. However, when I reserved our two rooms over 60 days in advance, I had hoped to get what I reserved, that being two King Rooms. What we got were two double Queen rooms and no explanation, other than they were sold out. My reservation in their own system did indeed show I had reserved two King rooms, but they had given them away to another guest, who I would guess, did not request those particular rooms as I had.
Being a Travel Agent I know exactly how this sort of thing happens, so when I got the blank stare and a poor explanation and no satisfactory resolution, that's what set me off.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ian054 Always a great place to stay!
We have stayed at Anaheim Holiday Inn and Suites 4 times now, both with and without our children. Each time it has been a wonderful experience with helpful and friendly staff.
It is an easy 10-15 minute walk to Downtown Disney and into Disneyland or California Adventure. It is very close to a lot of great restaurants and shopping malls, so everyone is catered for!
Each time we have stayed the accommodation looks like it has just been renovated, a testament to the maintenance of the property.
We will be going back again, and I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy Anaheim and its surrounds.

Lunch at resturant soup was served 10 minutes after the sandwhich.
Next morning at breakfest sat down and coffee was served. After that I sat there 25 minutes and NO ONE would take be breackfest order or acknowledged me in any way. After the wait I finaly waived down a waitress ask what I owed for the coffee and left.
I will not stay there again.

WE STAY AT HOLIDAY EXPRESS Anaheim 1240 S Walnut site every time we are visiting Anaheim family members . It's a great place to stay and relax by the heated pool and spa , Watch the fireworks from Disney out in the back parking lot . The value is great for the bed comfort ( we always take two queen beds so my wife and I have our own bed to sleep ) The only down fall is no free breakfast as we get at other Holiday Express stays and the 10 dollar parking fee for your car . If you are a Priority Club member your free gift isn't as good as other Hotels , but still say thank you .

overall a C. We were disappointed. I booked a room for 5. two weeks before we stayed. Still our 5th guest slept on the floor. Roll aways were not available. The front desk person apoligized and sent a pillow and blanket to the room.
The next day we moved to a suite. Much better. But the hairdryer didn't work.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fenster Comfortable bed, but it's the little things that get you
When we first arrived, we noticed that one of the beds was damp. It would appear that someone had soiled the bed and it soaked into the padding and it wasn't noticed. They switched us to a slightly (Couple of feet difference) larger room and that was nice. However the keys didn't work after the first night... it was fixed, but it was annoying to deal with after a long day at the Park.
The website shows that a continential breakfast is part of the service, however it fails to mention that it is not free. There is a shuttle to the park, however it cost money as well... everything cost something there so it's a bit of a nickel and dime sort of thing. If you join their priority club, parking is free, which is nice.
