Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed our stay! We stayed at this particular Holiday Inn for 5 nights in mid-January. Everything was to our expectation and we had a wonderful stay. There is a safe, mini fridge and microwave in our room, which was all we needed. We rented a car so we didn't need to take the public transportation at the hotel, which to me would be a real convenience since the buses stop right at the hotel. Every afternoon when we returned to the hotel after an outing, the hotel clerk never failed to say "welcome back" which is a real nice touch. All in all, we would come back and recommend this hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff & clean room! Very friendly staff & nice room! We were offered our choice of a snack bag or 500 bonus points for being IHG platinum members. The only downside was our shower was handicap accessible & therefore did not have a tub or shower curtain/door available. This was not mentioned to us at check in & I wish it had been. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great room, good hotel, bad restaurant service We were there for 3 nights last week. We had a kids suite and it was very good. The room was very good, the hotel was very accessible, very near Disney. The front desk people were good. Since this stay was part of a longer trip, we used the laundry on the 9th floor and it was fine. The biggest issue (and only issue) we had was with the restaurant. We had breakfast at the attached restaurant everyday of our stay and ordered dinner to our room one night. They flubbed the order every time. The first day they forgot to bring my wife's and my son's breakfast orders. When I reminded them after about 30 minutes, one guy told my son (8yrs) to get it himself from the buffet bar, but another guy told me when I went to get it that the buffet bar had a separate charge. When I told him that that the other guy asked us to go there, he went and got our order after another wait. The second day, they forgot one item. They said it would take 30 minutes for the room service dinner, but it was more like an hour and I had to call to ask for the status. They still screwed up the order and had to go back to get the correct order. The final day, they seated us and then forgot about us, serving others who came after us. Then when they finally took our order, the lady waiter brought our order, but then one of the guys also brought it out a little later. Every day, we asked for peanut butter with toast and they forgot to get it every time except for the lady on the last day. They never repeat your order or write it down. The only saving grace is the lady waiter who was very good. You could tell she puts her heart into her work even as she served others. She brought out our order all in one go. The others would bring them out one at a time over 30 minutes and still forget something. January 13, 2015
