Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of Continental Breakfast We were surprised when we visited the Holiday Inn Express in Appleton and found out the next morning that you only had a full service restaurant and not a continental breakfast like most other hotels. For example, the week before we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Petoskey Michigan and they had an excellent continental breakfast. Why not Appleton. When we visit Appleton again we will look elsewhere because the price we paid for our room was too high for what we received in turn. July 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel On the positive side: In all, our stay was pleasant - room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy and pillows were awesome. Towels were like new - fluffy and soft. Breakfast buffet was a great start to our softball tournament days. Despite having no vacancy, the hotel was very quiet. Flat screen TV was nice. On the negative side: The WiFi did not work well for our phones (Androids or iPhones.) Worked OK with laptop most of the time. Not all rooms have fridges and microwaves, which is disappointing. Our room faced Hwy. 41 and there was quite a bit of traffic noise. The window looked like it had not been washed (outside) for a good 5 years - hard to see out of! July 16, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Don't trust your reservation for a specific room We had 2 youth teams traveling for sports, booked a block of 20 rooms and were guaranteed 13 rooms with double beds. We picked this hotel based on the fact that they promised the most double bed rooms we could find. After checking in not one person in our group received a room with double beds, completely unacceptable!!! We were told the king rooms they forced us into were nicer and that they had a great pull out sofa sleeper, please..... I asked the staff if they would rather spend the night on a sofa sleeper rather than a bed and got a snicker....... they compensated us by giving us a gift certificate for 5 pizzas of which they cooked too early and left sitting out for us when we returned after 10pm from playing a days worth of games........ Breakfast is well served with many options including a buffet. There is no lunch but many restaurants near by. Evening dining is limited to bar meals but well cooked and good service. July 10, 2014
