The staff on the Friday night was exceptional, friendly, and very helpful. Nice area with restaurants within 60 second walk. Would stay again

the bed was hard and had problems with the TV couldn't get some main stations Fox and nbc there were about 9 that didn't work

My friend and I booked the room for Christmas shopping at the mall. We were treated like royalty. Have been going there for at least five years and will continue to do so.

Very hospitable area to start with, then the guest services here are superb. Quite comfortable room and quiet although hotel was fairly full. Good value so I would highly recommend. Nice touches from housekeeping, made stay away from home more bearable.

We traveled 125 miles for our annual girls shopping trip. We went to dinner and returned at 9:45 to have drinks at our hotel bar. When we arrived at the bar the bartender told us she was closing. We told her that the sign states the bar hours on Saturday was midnight. She told us that her boss told her to close early. There were several other people that arrived at the bar at the same time. We were a party of seven. It was very disappointing, as we have been staying there for years.

I would not recommend the Appleton Holiday Inn. I found the property to be consistently unclean: behind the front desk, in the corners of my room, in the stain on the sitting chair in my room, in the smell of the breakfast area, in the mystery sludge on the floor by the women's bathroom by the pool, in the grime on the tiles in the pool.
The facility maintenance and service matched the cleanliness. My room had a plugged tub, I mentioned this to the hotel staff. When I returned to my room later that day, I found no note indicating if they actually did come back to fix the issue. Upon using the shower, I discovered they likely did not. One of the two, slow elevators was not working during my entire stay with little indication they intended to fix it. In the fitness center, there was only one key for the multi-station weight lifting center. Thus only one person could use it, when it is designed for four simultaneous users.
When I brought all of this up to IHG Corporate, they called the hotel to let them know. With in a few minutes the hotel manager left a message on my phone indicating that they gave me 2,000 IHG points. What does 2,000 points do? I don't know. I was really hoping for an apology and an explanation of what they were going to do about it, I didn't get that.
It strikes me the owners of this property are milking the last dollars out of this property before they either sell it or raze it. I recommend finding a place somewhere down the street.

My Fiancee and I were hoping to spend a relaxing evening in our whirlpool suite and upon entering the whirlpool was dusty, there was a film of dust on the shelves, I was afraid to use the fridge in the room as it was old and dirty, and the set up of the room was poorly designed. In hopes to spend a night enjoying time with each other for our anniversary, we both were unable to sleep or relax as there was a wedding going on and until that was over all we heard all night was the bass of the music, which was until midnight. The next time I decide to spend that amount of money on a whirlpool suite, I will go elsewhere.

This hotel always exceeds my expectations with friendly staff that are always ready to offer assistance, clean and comfortable rooms, fast and convenient shuttle service and a good bar and breakfast restaurant. I ALWAYS stay at this hotel when in Appleton for business. I recommend this hotel to anyone, it is like a home away from home.
