Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dark and run down rooms An embarrassment to the Holiday Inn brand. Dark room, uncomfortable bed, not enough power outlets (alarm clock cord run from the wall by the bed, let alone none by the bed for your own needs), shower head at forehead level of a 5'8" person. I wish i had thought to take pictures. On a positive note the woman who checked me in and out was very friendly while the male I assumed to be the manager walked right by as I was sharing my concerns. February 2, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by so so The bed/ mattresses were low to the ground. The mattress were not comfortable and the end went up when I sat on the end of the bed ( I'm an average size guy, LOL). The second day when we came back to the room, the bathroom towels on the floor were taken but the two on the back of the bathroom door were still there and wet. The ones taken to be cleaned were not replaced....... The room was nice with microwave and refrigerator and they were clean. The down fall was clean, dry fresh towel replacement and matresses, or I would have rated higher. January 10, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best HI in the Fox Valley I stayed here recently for 2 weeks for a work trip. I was on the executive floor which required an access code, that was nice. But the new renovations don't seem to be more than a coat of paint and new linens. I had to request hair conditioner in my room because they don't stock it in the rooms, which means they are pinching pennies (especially since I was in an executive room). I also had to request a fridge and microwave, which came in and stayed on a wheeled cart. I will say that my requests were met quickly and the staff was great about it, but these are items I don't feel like I should have to request. As for the rooms, if these beds are new, they were cheap, because they are not very comfortable and the pillows are flat as can be. And the TV selection is very limited. Lastly, the showers are cramped and the water pressure is non existent. I understand there are limits on the physical structure of the old building, but that doesn't explain the lack of water pressure. As far as the exec lounge, it looks very cheap and they don't even serve breakfast on monday mornings (again pinching pennies, as I understand not a lot of business travelers arrive Sunday night, but some do and breakfast would be nice) The drinks at night during the week are nice, but the snacks could be improved upon. I imagine for a night or two, this place is tolerable, but for a longer stay, I'll be looking elsewhere as there are numerous choices in the area. January 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Pillows I don't know why but I notice nice pillows, it can make a big difference in the quality of my sleep. I also appreciated the recognition of my Platinum status. There were no more rooms on the concierge floor but I was given access to the lounge without asking. That was a nice touch because I was traveling with someone who already was on that floor. We were able to share a small snack and beer after a long day and meet before the start of the day. December 27, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always an excellent experience. My friend and I have been staying at the Holiday Inn for several years now. We always have a great time. The staff are nice the rooms are comfortable-especially the beds and pillows. We enjoy the bar and also the breakfast buffet. We go every year to Christmas shop and do the package deal. It is excellent-great price for everything you get. The wrapping room is a bonus. It is so nice to be able to wrap your Christmas presents right away, before you go home. We will continue to stay here whenever we go to Appleton. December 12, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fine for a few nights I was on the secure level and the room and bathroom were in ok shape (rug entrance a little worn) . Couple of things that could have been better, it would have been nice if the room had NBC (no signal). The front desk said they would send someone up while I'll was at work to fit it, but that did not happen or if it did I never had NBC with my 3 day stay. The other was the bathtub & controls looked original a good 15-20 years old with some major lime build up. November 29, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room needs some updates and higher quality of cleaning We've stayed at this location several times before and rated the room much higher. This time the room cleaning (carpet stains, long mirror with finger prints/smudges). Room pull out sofa needs updating. Springs were shot. The location and size of room were great. King bed was fine. In the past the rooms were spotless and pull out sofa was fine. Based on past experience, would stay here again assuming room issue will be resolved. November 21, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by stay We stayed for a wedding. The hotel requested we sign up on sheets at the front desk for shuttles to the reception. People who were not signed up on the sheets took the shuttles and we were forced to drive. The driver did not check the sheets that were at the desk. This was unacceptable. The front desk did nothing to alert the driver. The bar was not open nor properly staffed when it did open to accommodate the individuals staying at the hotel from the wedding. The two women working the bar were obviously overwhelmed with the amount of people and in turn were extremely rude because of their stress. Not a good impression to those who would come back to town to visit family. The entire time the front desk seemed to not be aware of what was going on. They also did not try to work with the guests and make the situations better. October 30, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Below the bar compared to other Holiday Inn Hotels I have stayed at this hotel a few times in Appleton, and it is definitely sub-par compared to other Holiday Inn hotels that I have stayed at around the country. The shower ceiling is very short for some reason (in several rooms that I have stayed in). The internet service is slow. The breakfast food is expensive ($13) and the quality of the food is very poor. Go to IHOP for a much better breakfast for the same price. The TV package is weak, as well. At first I thought that maybe it was just a poor experience specific to one stay, but after a few stays, I have come to the conclusion that it just isn't up the snuff with the rest of the Holiday Inn chains that I have stayed at. Dining room appeared understaffed We apparently were seated at a dirty table because when the waitress went to pour coffee, she remarked that there was already coffee in my cup. All in all dining room experience and food were horrible! The hotel room was nice but pillows were lumpy and not comfortable Otherwise room was comfortable and clean August 27, 2013
