Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty Ok Very good overall. The bartender was a little annoyed when I ordered two Long Island Iced Teas saying I was killing him. Sorry! Breakfast at the "Terrace Cafe" should be allowed to be enjoyed on the terrace patio on a beautiful Sunday morning. We were told that dishes were problematic with outside dining but why else would you have tables outside at a "Terrace Cafe?" Conundrum that we brought to the attention of the desk at check out. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by wonderful staff We had a few glitches to our stay, but the staff attempted to accommodate as much as they could. Some of the accommodations were not useful for us and some could not be made, but it was more of a systems issue than a staff issue. I would stay again, and would recommend to others especially if they have events planned around the area and not just staying for romantic or relaxation purposes. July 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very clean very clean and quite booked the family room and we got there they had use in the king suit. the family room sleeps 5 and the king sleeps 4 we had 5 adults talked to the front desk, the family room had quest in the room. they adjusted the price of the king room for us but one of us sleep on the floor July 22, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Rooms, but Lousy Service In every IHG hotel I've been in over the past year, I have been greeted by the staff acknowledging my Rewards Club membership level. At this hotel, she simply said, "We have your Rewards Club number on file. Thank you for that." Breakfast cost about $17, but consisted of overcooked scrambled eggs, tough sausages and the makings of a continental breakfast. The staff in the dining room didn't seem to pay much attention to the guests. My room was great, except it was a complicated matter to get a hot shower. As a Spire Ambassador, I'm guaranteed late checkout, yet the clerk at the front desk complained about it. In the end, if you need a hotel, this is the only IHG hotel in Appleton; better than nothing. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What am I paying for? This is possibly one of the worst experiences I have ever had when staying in a Holiday Inn. There was NO complimentary breakfast and the service was absolutely horrible. We couldn't check in on time because they were "understaffed" according to the male front desk operator. We were part of a blocked room group for a wedding and it was like they were not prepared. Myself and my husband called 2-3 times to see if we could check in since we were on a time crunch with me being a part of the wedding and having a rehearsal dinner to attend to. So we had to drive around after driving 8+ hours from Cincinnati which we were not too excited about. There was little to no hot water to where I had to turn the hot water all the way to turned up to receive any in fear that the hot water heater would magically start working and then I would have a scolding of the skin situation going on. When my husband called down to see if there was a complimentary breakfast, you would have thought that was a forbidden question. The front desk operator was entirely rude and shoved the Terrace Cafe in our face. As if we weren't paying enough for the room already, lets spend more money on breakfast on top of the already OVERPRICED room. At this point, I really don't know what we paid for. Fed up attitudes from front desk staff, not being properly staffed to meet the needs of the guests, or the cold water to which all do not meet the price we paid for the room. But don't forget the pool is open 24 hours (let me enter a sarcastic, woo). July 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never again. I do not even know where to start. I travel for work throughout the US, and have the IHG rewards program. I tend to stay at IHG hotels due to location and availability. I have never been this disappointed with a Holiday Inn since I started this job two years ago. The check-in process was quick as usual, not taking into consideration the line. Once I checked in, I went up to my room and to my surprise the key card did not work. I went back downstairs and had it re-activated. Finally made it inside the room. It was old and run down. The carpet was so dirty that I felt disgusted walking around in socks. The bathroom had mold in it - and water dripped from the ceiling. I don't require much during a work-stay. Just some tea. For the first time ever, no tea to be found. Just a couple packets of coffee and coffee condiments. I went downstairs to grab some from the breakfast area... only to find out they do not have breakfast included at this location. Also a first for me. On night one, I was already bitter. The TV lacked the only channel that I watch (can't control that). After the first night, things only went downhill. I don't think housekeeping did anything besides half-way remake the bed. I used the shampoo and conditioner to only have one shampoo replaced. Each time I left the room, the key card would dis-activate. I walked downstairs for a new key card EACH TIME I left the room.. I have to keep my reservation for next week as there is no last minute availability in Appleton due to the Air and Water show - and I am dreading the idea of even staying there again. July 20, 2015
