Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 738 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Very convenient to the Metro and good value. The elevator service was terrible and on more than one occasion had to wait more than 15 minutes for an elevator. The thermostat in the room was old and unable to adequately regulate the room temperature so I had to turn it off as it was too warm even though it was cold outside and open the sliding door to cool the room. The staff were very pleasant but bathroom and some of the hotel was pretty dated. Overall it was a good price for me and very convenient for me to stay and I would consider returning. March 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff Great ! The entire staff at the Key Bridge Holiday Inn is pleasant and so helpful. From the front desk, to the engineers, to the restaurant staff, the go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Some of the equipment and facilities are occasionally less than satisfactory. I had two desk chairs that sank uncontrollably; but the night staff replaced them ASAP. The water seems to run at 1/5 usual rate in the interior sinks in all the bath-rooms. One is forced to use the outer sink for washing etc. The TV's HBO service is blotchy and hard to see, which is unexpected for a premium channel. However, the helpfulness of the staff outweighs the occasional plant and equipment issue. March 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location-Free Parking-Free WiFi We stayed for one night prior to the DC half marathon. Perfect location-1 block to Metro Orange+Blue lines. Very easy access to all points in DC, especially to the race expo, start, and finish. Parking was free! WiFi was free! Checkin staff was very nice. Halls were so brightly lit that it almost felt like a hospital hall! You can see hotel is a bit aged - bathroom was tiny yet clean but not super clean and the shower had glass sliding doors and there was some crud in the door rails. King bed was comfy, but pull out couch in the suite was very lumpy!! Only one TV in suite - it would have been nice to also have one in the bedroom - no biggie though. Suite had two balconies-very nice! There was no place in hotel to buy a beer! When I checked in the restaurant midday, they said I couldn't get one and the front desk staff told me I needed to go across the street to the bar??? I would have thought that the restaurant would have had beer to buy and bring back to the room! We also had to place three phone calls over the course of 30 minutes to get one blanket for the pull out couch - that was bad service and it was only 9pm. Overall, the hotel fit our needs and the price was definitely good. I would consider staying there again, but only if it were one or two days. March 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel for DC site seeing Brought the family here including a 3 and 5 year old. The pool was a big plus for kids and the price for this hotel is excellent compared to others in DC. While this may seem slightly out of the DC area a metro station is several 100 feet away and can zip you anywhere on the orange or blue line. The metro system is excellent and there was no need for a car rental for our purposes. The wait staff was very friendly at the restaurant where breakfast was free after becoming a priority member (also free). The free (there's that word again) wifi is a huge plus for me. ALong with the clean rooms, friendly service, and easy accessibility I would stay here again. The surrounding area also has some great restaurants within a half mile so a pretty easy walk. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly staff and great view form restaurant. I had a great view of the river. The waitor, Abdul, made us feel at home and welcome with a smile each day. March 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good hotel I stayed here for two nights in early March 2013 while attending a conference at the hotel. My room was excellent - well kept, comfortable, quiet. I especially liked the balcony overlooking the Key Bridge and the river! The bathroom was a little cramped, but the spaciousness of the main area more than made up for this! If I had a quibble with the hotel overall, it would be regarding the quality of the coffee at the conference. While the food was good, the coffee was horrible! But again - a very minor detail. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quite, convenient and great staff This hotel is convenient to the METRO and easy access to any place in DC. Parking is free and secure. Room is clean and quite. Staff is helpful and professional. Georgetown and many restaurants are 10 minute walk or easy and cheap bus ride within 5 min walk from hotel. March 20, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff but building and some service needs improvements Staff very friendly. I arrived about 75 minutes before check-in but they secured me a room within 30 minutes and even accomodated a request for a high-level room overlooking the river. Beautiful view. Room service speedy and tasty. Did not take advantage of breakfast (provided free since platinum PR member). Hotel in great location - easy walk to Georgetown and to river. Unfortunately, several areas need improvement. 1) Fitness center did not have supplies to clean equipment so I couldn't wipe down treadmill after use. 2) . I travel 2-3 weeks a month and stay in a lot of hotels and these were by far the worst pillows ever. 3) Hotel is simply not updated with proper heating/air system. I'm quite cold-natured so feel sorry for anyone who is hot-natured as the hotel is always hot. It was in the 30s yet I ran my AC the entire time and it never cooled below 72 degrees. If I turned the AC off, it quickly shot up to 78-80 degrees. Lots of potential with this facility with view and proximity to Georgetown and Metro but I wouldn't select this hotel again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2nd trip perfect for site seeing Second trip toDC. Perfect experience. Free parking, free breakfast. Close to transit and short ealk to Georgetown. Manygood restaurants within walking distance on Wilson Ave. or across Key Bridge. Absolutely no complaints second yearin a row. Pool and gym facilities good. Staff on top floor restaurant extremely friendly. March 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and comfortable room The staff at the desk and in the restaurant were outstanding. Very attentive and saw to all our needs. March 18, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by terrible internet experience We had a conference in this hotel. It is obvious that this hotel is not well prepared for any conference. The internet speed is the slowest one I have experienced. We either had to wait for minutes to open a link or couldn't sent out an email. This is not the worst. When we needed help, there was no IT support on site and the remote support was not professional and friendly. March 18, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by with this price, the service could be much better 1. food in breakfast is really bad 2. evening staff give you the look when you ask for the bill in advance. 3. business center claim to be 24 hours but police come and tell you the lock down time is 10pm 4. The chairs in the business center way too low to use the keyboard. March 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay as usual! The staff always takes good care of me here. I enjoy the Vantage Point restaurant for the buffet breakfast and for dinners. This time a group I was with also had a buffet dinner there and it was very good. The free parking and free WiFi and location so close to the Rosslyn Metro make this a great choice for anyone visiting DC for business or pleasure (my trips are usually a mix of both). My husband joined me for the first time in DC this trip and he also was very happy with the hotel. The view from the 15th floor room was great, and the fridge in our King Executive room is nice for stashing drinks and snacks. After long days in the museums it is nice to kick back and relax in the room with that awesome view! It is also just a short walk over the bridge into Georgetown. If you get a chance, walk across the bridge to Pie Sisters - you'll be glad you did! March 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location, but dated and noisy This hotel is conveniently located a block from the Rosslyn Metro station, just across the bridge from Georgetown and easily accessible by car. They also offer free parking, which is nice. We first stayed here last year and thought it was OK. At that time it looked like there were considerable renovations underway, which made us optimistic that our visit this year would be nicer. We were wrong. When I made the reservation, I requested double beds on a high floor away from the elevators. But when I checked in they had us in a king room - and the only double was on a lower floor across from the elevators. Not a very restful night. So the next morning I talked with the manager about getting moved to a quieter location and they relocated us to a higher floor with a corner room right over the highway, which was equally noisy in a different way. The hotel is right on the approach/departure path for Reagan National Airport (not their fault), but the poor insulation provides no relief from the noise. I've stayed at many airport hotels that were MUCH quieter. Both rooms had bathrooms so small that it's difficult to get in and out of the shower, and the towels and bedding are seriously low end. The breakfast buffet is convenient and the view from the 17th floor is nice. The staff was also friendly, but there are just too many other lodging options in the area to put up with such a mediocre facility. We're going back to DC in a couple months and will be staying elsewhere. Recommend others consider doing the same. March 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location We stay at this hotel because of its proximity to Georgetown University and the attractions of Washington DC. We definitely plan to stay throughout our daughter's years at Georgetown. March 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First time to DC This hotel was wonderful. Staff at check-in (Anna) was SUPER friendly and helpful. Metro is just a half block away and it will take you everywhere. Enjoyed the comp breakfast in the restaurant that had a wonderful view overlooking the river & city. Used the pool, but you could only swim laps across and not the length of it.(a lot of turns). Wonderful feature is free parking. March 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable and convenient for visiting the area A very nice place to stay. The staff was gentle and helping. The room was clean and we had a very good time. March 12, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tired rooms and surly staff There were chips and dings in the furniture and bathroom fixtures. The bar in the lounge was dirty and sticky on the two visits I made there, and breakfast was very poor. March 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Only place to stay in DC Metro station is just 2 blocks away and they actually have free parking at the hotel. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. The hotel resturaunt was fantastic. We ate there every night. Only drawback was the pool. Never any towels. I will make this my place to stay in DC from now on. March 11, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good price, but horrible stay THis hotel was priced well, and convenient for where we were going. HOWEVER, it was extremely diffucult to get to sleep. we could hear people above, below and next to us.WHen we called the fromt desk, they responded that there wasn't a whole lot if anything they could do, as they cannot control what goes on in hotel rooms. Our wake up call was nothing more than the phone across the room ( not the one next to the bed) ringing then a dial tone. The WEBSITE says that there is a free breakfast, but that ONLY applied IF you become one of their priority card members, and they dont tell you that when you check in, otherwise it is $10 a person. Yes it is buffet stlye, but is bland, tasteless, and underwhelming. You could eat better at MC Donald's for the price. Will likely never stay there again... March 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A real find The Holiday Inn near the Key Bridge was a real find in terms of value and convenience. We requested, and received, a room with a view of the Potomac and the Gerogetown area of DC. Free on-site parking made this a tremendous value with our AAA rate. After a full day of visiting the Newseum (which kept us entertained for five hours!), we returned to the Holiday Inn, cancelled our dinner reservation at a restaurant near the Capital because we were just too worn out to return downtown, and made a reservation at the Holiday Inn's rooftop restaurant. The atmosphere was very casual; the decor was pretty plain, but the view was lovely. Part of the restaurant's seating is at windows overlooking the District. The menu has a wide range of American selections, the servings were more than ample, and the prices were very reasonable, especially with the coupon provided at check-in. We also had the breakfast buffet which was excellent and a bargain, and we also had a coupon. The staff was, without exception, pleasant and helpful. March 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay Overall pleasant 2 night stay; staff was helpful and room was comfortable and clean.... March 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Obvious concern for guests We were pleased with our overnight stay at the Rosslyn Holiday Inn. The front desk person even called just to be sure that our room was satisfactory and let us know to call her if we needed anything. True, a little thing, but little things matter. Maid in the hallway was cheery and respectful. Food was good. We love the location with easy access to Georgetown. We asked for and got a front-facing balcony looking over the Potomac River. Very nice stay. Thank you! March 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleasant Staff One check the gentleman who assisted was very pleasant, helpful in finding my rewards number and adding points for stay, and directions to sites we were looking for. The location of the hotel is 2 blocks to the Metro, very easy to get to! March 7, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dinner at the bar Slow, slow, slow. The guy needs a helper or different setup. I've been here many times before and it hasn't changed. The coupon keeps me there the 1st night, after that forget about it. March 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasurable I have stayed here various times. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly.. They make you feel welcomed by remembering familiar faces. I really appreciate that. Much thanks to David, Betty and the staff. Thanks, March 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great rooms and service was great We had reservations for three nights but arrived early and received a room with no problems. The restaurant was great and help thru out the motel were attentive and worked well with us..thanks for the relaxing time while in Washington DC. although the vending machine on our floor did not work it did on other floors. March 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet, comfortable, great amenities I travel quite a bit for work, and this is my new favorite spot to stay when traveling in the DC area. It's clean, quiet, has a great gym, and is centrally located - making getting around as easy as possible. March 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Service, Convenient Location Great location....close to Metro and also to major roadways. Within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Staff was extremely helpful and service-minded. The on-site restaurant had a beautiful view, delicious breakfast buffet, and friendly, attentive service. Front desk staff was able to answer any question we had, gave excellent directions and advice, and helped us with travel plans, storing luggage, etc. Will definitely consider this a "go-to" location when travelling to DC in the future. March 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I will keep returning I have become a regular at the Rosslyn/Key Bridge Holiday Inn. I travel both for business and vacation to this site. The location is perfect in Arlington with views of Georgetown University accross the river. Better yet, it is only 1.5 blocks from the Rosslyn Metro station. Very easy to get anywhere in town. My Platinum Status is always recognized and I usually receive nice perks. My hotel room is upgraded soon after I make a reservation in the system and free breakfast buffet coupons are presented. This is always appreciated. THANK YOU!! The front desk staff is very professional and friendly. This is my go-to hotel in D.C. February 26, 2013
