We were very pleased to be so closely located to the downtown area. The in-house restaurant/bar staff was very helpful with all things Asheville and the food and drinks were better than expected. We also ventured to walking-distance restaurants for quality Thai and Italian.
We kind of missed not having a pool or hot tub after each day of sightseeing, but the high floor room had nice mountain views and very good temperature control (RM900). On two days of our four night stay, our room was not serviced by the time we returned in late afternoon, but the explanation was that stay-overs are done last when the house is full. Makes sense if you are not staffed for that.
A nice plus is the spring water dispensers on (I think) each floor, with a carafe in the room - much better than the annoying $5 liter bottle in many hotel rooms.
We would definitely stay at the Indigo again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by amanda Awesome boutique hotel
This hotel is right in the downtown area - walking distance to restaurants including a wonderful wine bar. The hotel rooms are different colors, with lovely laminate flooring - high quality so it resembles wood. The rooms are very spacious - larger or certainly better designed than standard rooms in your typical hotel. The bathroom was incredible - awesome shower that was huge and walk-in. The countertops are spacious. A nice k-cup coffee maker by Keurig. All for the price of a local hotel that would otherwise be boring, ugly, and not new. Highly recommend this hotel.

I have been to Asheville twice in 2012, and stayed here both times . The staff is friendly and the accomodations are clean with vibrant colors. It's within walking distant to several wonderful culinary delights. The staff is very helpful with giving suggestions.

My husband and I loved our stay at Hotel Indigo. We requested a room with a mountain view and it was spectacular - it was a corner room, too so we had a view on both sides! The room was clean and very comfortable. I particularly liked the "wood" floors. What a great idea because it is an easy way to keep the room clean - carpets are dirt/germ/dust traps. It made the room look spacious, too.
We stayed at Hotel Indigo - Asheville. PERFECT location! Practically around the corner from all the downtown restaurants and shops. It was also in a safe location and we didn't concern ourselves with safety when walking to and from the hotel.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel :)

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Soreylaw Hard bed and very noisy location.
Extremely noisy location next to interstate highway and a very forgettable hard bed ruined an otherwise enjoyable stay in nicely decorated facility extremely convenient to downtown Asheville dining and amenities. Free parking garage a plus. Friendly staff and very clean hotel. Marginal value for the price.

Attractive, well located and hospitable.
Loved our hotel from the moment we booked.
Staff was informative and cordial from first contact.
Easily accessible from HWY 240 at edge of city.
Walked to everything within 10 minutes (walking!)
Charming hotel with modern design and great service.
Rare find in services offered and eagerness to help!
Left another hotel twice the price with half the service.
Convenient to all city restaurants, shops and activities.
Spacious room with great views and quiet, despite access to highway. Would return without hesitation! Bravo!!

My husband and I were on our "babymoon" and talking to the front desk ladies about places to eat and visit in Asheville and while we were up stairs in our room, we found it so funky yet cozy that we stayed in for the night! Then the Hotel Indigo Staff sent up a lovely 'congratulations on the baby' gift including local beer (non alch for me!), Asheville information and best of all, two delicious heart shaped brownies with fresh fruit! We were so inpressed with their thoughtfulness! The hotel was very clean and I was also impressed with the Aveda products in the bath. We were so impressed with this hotel we stayed at the Hotel Indigo in Nashville a few days later!

Upon our arrival with our Westie, he became quite ill. The staff quickly found us a good vet. Our dog received excellent care at the vet, and upon our return to the hotel, the staff welcomed him back with a new squeaky toy (which is his favorite). The next day, when we returned to the room, they had gone to Three Dog Bakery (also recommended) and purchased him a treat with his name on it, a new ball plus a "get well soon" card signed by the staff. We couldn't believe how caring and kind everyone was during our stay. The food in the cafe is also quite delicious. We have told everyone about our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated with easy walking access to the town and yet also close to the interstate..if you're going to Asheville, this is the place to stay!

We love visiting Asheville, and there are very few hotels that offer the ability to walk to the AMAZING restaurants/bars...that Asheville offers! Hotel Indigo was convenient, and the one time pet fee was very reasonable. We stayed for the few nights after our wedding, and we had a room with a VIEW! We had a corner room, so we could see the mountains where we had just gotten married!

I wasn't familar with this brand when I logged on line to make my reservations but found it to be the closest property to where I needed to be.
I loved the design of the hotel and room. I love the new trend to replace carpet with hardwoods so this was a big plus for me in this room.
When I find another Indigo Property or when staying againn in Asheville, this will be my place to rest and regroup.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Copygirl Fabulous staff, great room
My stay earlier this year was my first stay at the Hotel Indigo, but it won't be my last. It's hip, it's funky, it's luxurious without being snooty – and I just loved the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful, I was amazed. Just sitting at the little bar enjoying a beer and I happened to wonder out loud if my fave brewery (the Wedge) was brewing my fave beer (Gollum). Next thing I knew, the concierge had called to find out for me. Not sure if our room was indicative of all the rooms since it was a handicapped room, but it was large, comfortable and quiet. Loved the huge walk-in shower! The location was perfect, too. Anywhere we wanted to go downtown was an easy walk. Really enjoyed my stay.

Trendy feel in a great location. Walking distance to all downtown locations. Front desk was more than helpful about places to go and things to do. Nice Boutique style hotel. Plus they allow dogs, which is a big plus since Asheville is a dog friendly town. Had a great viw of downtown, mountains and Grove Park Inn. Recommend higher floors.

Great downtown hotel!
The employees at this hotel are amazing.
They are polite and willing to help from management to housekeeping you can tell they all love what they do.
I love the love art throughout the hotel. You can walk to any restaurant downtown or drive just a few minutes and to get to the Biltmore House.
I noticed last time I was there that they are adding Suites! I cant wait to check those out.
I had a corner room and had amazing views.
I loved the hardwood floors and the bathrooms are spa like! Very big and spacious unlike any in Asheville.
