Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Property We spent the night following travelling the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hotel was in very good shape, and although the hotel was full it was very quiet. The breakfast room was large and the food had a nice variety. Lots of extra parking at the back of the hotel, with an access door nearby; Some customer service training of the evening front desk agents would greatly improve the overall experience by making the guests feel welcomed and looked after. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay! I was totally pleased with my stay at this property. I stopped in impromptu for I was travelling late to Indiana. Upon my arrival, I met the best night desk clerk in my years of travel. It was a good to speak with someone that was knowledgeable of the area and overall good conversation. I was pleased with appearance and cleanliness of the property and the room, which was a good considering I have stayed at rival properties with much less space and no where near the amenities provided. The bathroom was clean and spacious. I am used to using small, more cramped facilities. Again, it was a pleasant experience. Also, the beds and room space was clean, well-kept. I enjoyed all of the space even though I was just there for a short period of time. June 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great costumer service We stopped at Holiday Inn in Herndersville/Flat rock N.C. on our way to Mrytle Beach, S.C. The staff was very kind and great to work with. Check-in and Check-out was very fast. I liked that the whole hotel is 100% smoke free. The draw back was about 4 a.m., a child in the upstairs room above us, started to cry. It's nothing the hotel can do, and it's life. I did feel like the price was a little high for the area we were in. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to anyone. June 14, 2014

I was upgraded without charge and was thus provided with a mini fridge for my medications. The front desk staff were a young man and a young woman that were cheerful, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the Flat Rock area. This was an overnight stay to break up a 14-15 hour solo drive and I felt safe, comfortable and slept well. The local dining recommendations made the experience feel like part of my vacation as opposed to just a night on the road. Historic downtown Flat Rock is lovely and the decorated bear figures that represent different businesses and community groups were darling and made for some fun photo ops, as did the interesting architecture. All and all, a great visit...I'll definitely be back and will stay at this inn again. June 4, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stay - Great Location I enjoyed my stay at this hotel over the Memorial Day weekend. The room was clean and the maid staff was friendly. I have a couple of gripes however: The front desk staff was not very accommodating when I asked to check-in early. He didn't even check to see if my room was ready but said to come back after 3pm. I rented a room with a king bed and a Jacuzzi. To my dismay there was no mini-fridge or microwave. I visited the front desk and they said they didn't have enough to go around and it would cost me an extra $5 per night for a fridge. I couldn't believe it. May 29, 2014

The rooms are great (though the pillows aren't the best), but one of the reasons I stay here is the indoor pool. However, that has to be the coldest indoor pool I've ever been in. However, we could easily hear running water in the pipes from the next door room, could hear walking above us as we were on the first floor. Just did not think the sound proof construction was very good. The morning of the second day, at around 9:00 the best the water could do for the shower was luke warm barely. This stay was not like a typical stay for us as with all the other properties that we stay in. April 9, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Expected More Hi there. I was a little disappointed starting with the check in process. I believe it was Rick who checked me in and I was caught off guard when I asked if I could stay in the King Suite the 2nd night (of 3 nights). Rick told me that he couldn't leave us in that room for a 2nd night because I was staying with earned points on nights 2 and 3 and that stay called for 2 queen beds. Considering I stay primarily at IHG hotels and have in excess of 500,000 in points, I was certainly disappointed about his decision. After we checked in, my wife noticed a lot of dark hairs on the bathroom floor so we notified the staff and asked that they clean the bathroom with extra care. While staying there, the televisions were replaced and I believe they added Direct TN. When we arrived back to our room about 10: o'clock on Friday evening, we had no television and called the front desk. The clerk in duty was very prompt and it was working almost immediately. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by convenient and restful We spent three nights at this Holiday Inn one of three in two weeks. It was most convenient because we could jump on the interstate within a couple of hundred feet and be on our way. Yet, it was quiet enough to get a restful sleep and be refreshed for our day's activities. Hendersonville is nestled in the Smokey's and only a few miles from this Holiday Inn we could experience the North Carolina hospitality and crafts. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. I brought this to their attention and told them I normally receive a welcome gift. I was informed that IHG is going to have the same gifts everywhere from now on and they didn't have anything at the moment. I don't think that's a good way to do things. At least have something for your loyal customers. Breakfast was never all that great, but I guess that's what you get. Nothing really outstanding about the hotel. Just normal. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great, clean hotel, but no nearby dining This is a nice, clean and reasonably priced hotel with knowledgable and helpful staaff. Great full breakfast, free daily newspaper, and good coffee. Unfortunately, availing oneself of the fine dining in nearby Hendersonville requires a $20 cab ride each way if you want to have wine with your meal. That seemed excessive to us, and really affected our ability to enjoy ourselves in the really attractive downtown Hendersonville area. We ended up eating at Cracker Barrell on the first night—not what we wanted—because it was next door to the hotel. The fitness center had a stationery bike and two treadmills. I would have given anything if they'd had an elliptical and some free weights. Nice small swimming pool is indoors and actually large enoug to do short laps. December 9, 2013

There was a no vacancy sign hand written on the front lobby door-we had an advanced reservation, but given the very late hour I was concerned it might not be honored. David met us at the door, greeted us with a water bottle and snacks, and helped us to settle in right away-so kind and accommodating, we were very thankful! November 13, 2013

I had to work while I was there and it dragged many times, making things take longer to get done. If you don't have to work or use the internet, it was a great place to stay! I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff was very friendly and quite accommodating. November 9, 2013
