Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by More Like a Boutique Hotel You can tell this is a different kind of motel when you drive up and are treated to beds and beds of beautiful flowers which they change with the seasons. The front desk personnel are very friendly and helpful as are all the staff. The motel is decorated in the mountain cabin motif (appropriate for Asheville) and there are warm, homey decorations everywhere. It seems to me that they were chosen with care by the owners and not the usual run of the mill decorator fare. There are also nice touches like comfortable chairs by each elevator which are appreciated by the senior set. The rooms are clean and well maintained. I always recommend this motel to friends and family visiting Asheville and we revisit everytime we are in town. August 14, 2014

The issue was not resolved (it got worse during our stay) and there was no follow on the issue. We also askedto move to a non pet floor and were told there were no extra rooms available. We were there 2 nights and were not updated on the opportunity to move rooms. The breakfast food was the best I've e ver had in a hotel.. From the time you enter the front doors, you are greeted by décor that is appropriate for a mountain town. The front-desk staff were very nice, informative and accommodating. The hotel is centrally located so that you are a short trip to town, easy access to I-40 and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The room was nice and clean. I do wish that the room temperature was thermostatically controlled because it was virtually impossible to get the temperature just right and the AC was a little noisy. The Wi-Fi was spotty, but hey, we were supposed to be out enjoying ourselves anyway. We will certainly stay here again. July 29, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, Quiet, Great Views The hotel was quiet, the room was clean, the bed was fairly comfortable but we didn't like the pillows - they were a polyester down and they didn't give any support. The view out the window was great. Breakfast was good. It was the same each of the 4 days we stayed, but there was enough variety so that didn't matter. They had real plates, glasses and silverware. The staff kept the trays full and quickly removed your dishes when you were done. The location is convenient to Biltmore, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Black Mountain. July 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Beautiful hotel with friendly staff We chose the Holiday Inn at Biltmore East due to its close proximity to the Biltmore Estate (our primary reason for visiting Asheville this time). The hotel was easy to find, and just a short drive to our destination. The hotel reception staff was friendly and eager to make sure we enjoyed not only our stay at the Holiday Inn, but also our stay in Asheville. Our room was very clean and very nicely decorated. The hotel allows pets, however aside from seeing a few dogs in and around the lobby, I would not have known this from the clean appearance, the lack of pet odor and the absence of 'evidence'. In all it is a wonderful place to say and I would stay there again. July 27, 2014

The staff are more than helpful, a terrific plus from a tired, weary traveler. This facility has a little walking path behind the hotel which is an added benefit for someone who spent 12 hours behind the wheel of a car. The restaurant cooked a delicious meal for dinner, and the waitress went out of her way to obtain some information about the food that was served it was mouth watering!. Rooms are very clean and fresh, and provide an excellent view of the mountains that surround this hotel. I would truly recommend this hotel to adult travelers looking for the extra couple of perks this facility provides. July 27, 2014

It's a beautiful place. FREE hot breakfast in the morning. When we were checking out, we were asked how we liked our room, because it had just been renovated.
