Everything was great, except the coffee in the room. A one cup pot, and the coffee tasted like swamp water. There is coffee down stairs in the lobby that is good. Please upgrade your coffee in the room, so I wont have to scare anyone with my morning look. Other wise we will be staying here again.

The staff at this location was great, the service was tremendous and the location was decent. It's behind the outback but it's close to downtown and lot's of good eats.

AVOID this location. The staff is rude and inconsiderate. After one night of no internet and inconsistent air conditioning, they lost my 2nd night's reservation and could only offer a solution of leaving all my bags on a rolling cart in the hopes that another room might be available. When this was not acceptable to me, I was told "if you do not like it, check out is at 11."
I travel 3-4 nights per week for business. They just lost a very frequent customer.
There are several other hotel options in Asheville, many of which have well trained staff who are, at minimum, polite. I will definitely choose to stay elsewhere in the future.

We stayed in the business suite - 2 kids and 2 adults. Great choice - separate bedrooms, comfy main room, easy access to downtown. Kids loved the pool. Room was light and airy - not great views, but we weren't expecting any. Will definitely stay again in the future.

This hotel was so convenient to downtown Asheville. Overall the hotel was great. I do feel the beds and bedding could be brought up to date, both seemed a little well worn. The staff went out of there way to be of service.

Our recent gathering of five old Air Force buddies and spouses was a great success due in part to the great setting of your hotel, the helpful staff and, not to forget, the wonderful experience that is Asheville on a summer weekend! Wow, the restaurants, the "Drrummers Circle", your comfortable rooms at night and very nice breakfasts at moderate prices made it a weekend to remember.

Everything was great except they don't have ice machines on each floor which would have been more convenient. We were able to check in a bit early which was nice. They could have used more chairs in the pool area. The pool was nicely warm inside even though it was chilly outside.

Seems like these days it's less and less of a privilege to be a returning customer. There was a time when HI treated all their priority club members with exceptional care - oh well.
I really enjoyed this location, great access to downtown and one of the more reasonable rates available to downtown Asheville. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfy.
Really, my only issues were lack of PC recognition at the front desk during check in and the hustle put on by the waiting staff in the dining area. These people in the dining area were so "efficient" I felt like they were trying to get rid of us before we sat down. Pushing in to collect plates and making sure that bill was under my nose was almost too obvious an attempt to get us to pay and leave.
Regarding front desk staff, they were friendly enough - I think it is just a sign of the times where working at a hotel is "just a job" - there used to be a day when hoteliers took great pride in providing courteous service with a smile. The bad news is that seems to be at an end over the past few years, the real bad news is, it is the same story at any hotel these days.
This is a good hotel, a bit aged, but in pretty decent condition and a great value for staying around the Asheville downtown area.

We found this Holiday Inn to be a very nice facility. The beds were very comfortable. We did not eat their breakfast as it was a high extra charge per person. There is a McDonalds across the street which fit the need. Free coffee was appreciated and good.

I think this is the first time since I joined Holiday Inn's Priority Club Membership that I haven't been treated as a special guest. I couldn't believe that it would ever bother me, but it did. This is why I became a member is the special feeling one gets checking in to your properties , , , , this visit I was just another off the street visitor.
I will be back in the fall if not sooner and I am hoping to use some of my 60 thousand points for a get away, so I hope for a better feeling.

This HI is a very good, clean and quiet location. I've stayed here several times over the past two years. Room quality, staff and service is consistent and is what I expect from Holiday Inn.
Good access to restaurants, downtown and a local shopping mall and theatre.
Will stay here again for business or vacation..

Very nice rooms, good front desk attentiveness. I wish they had the option of feather pillows over the usual like some hotels. The food was a little disappointing and the wine choice was somewhat abysmal. Yes, I have a little higher standards being from calif. But Asheville has very good food and wine, but not this hotel

I always try to book a room here when I'm in Asheville. As a Platinum Priority Club member they have always gotten me a room upgrade. I have found the staff at the front desk to be pleasant and helpful at all times- starting the day or ending. Many times at "Manager's Receptions" at other hotels you end up with some person who gets stuck serving beer to tired business people or vacationers. Last visit I had the pleasure of actually having a chat with one of the managers- Brandon. He represents the hotel so well!! The only negative I can find to the hotel is the available items on the food menu in the bar. It seems like the pride they take in everything else could translate into a bit more variety there.

Having spent a wonderful night in The Staybridge Suites in Greenville, which is part of the same chain as The Holiday Inn, we chose to stay here on the strength of that experience . It was a mistake. I requested a quiet king room and was given a room directly beside the lifts and opposite the vending machine. When I asked for a different room I was told that none was available. I pointed out that I had specifically requested a quiet room. The front desk staff member then tried to blame the confusion on the website that I had used to make the booking. I pointed out that it was their own IHG website which I had used. And I reminded him of the Holiday Inn mission statement. We were then offered a double queen room. Poor service and a bad attitude.

I don't get to travel and stay in hotels a lot, but I must say my stay in the Holiday Inn in Asheville, NC last weekend was great. The service was great, the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were courteous and friendly and the amenities were wonderful. Loved swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool and the hot tub. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends. The only bad point was the parking. There just wan't enough.

This was ok. I was disappointed there was no continental breakfast and the pillows weren't very big. Also, we had visible water damage stains on the bathtub and counter which was off putting. I felt we didn't get a great value for our stay.
