Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VERY DISAPPOINTED Having spent a wonderful night in The Staybridge Suites in Greenville, which is part of the same chain as The Holiday Inn, we chose to stay here on the strength of that experience . It was a mistake. I requested a quiet king room and was given a room directly beside the lifts and opposite the vending machine. When I asked for a different room I was told that none was available. I pointed out that I had specifically requested a quiet room. The front desk staff member then tried to blame the confusion on the website that I had used to make the booking. I pointed out that it was their own IHG website which I had used. And I reminded him of the Holiday Inn mission statement. We were then offered a double queen room. Poor service and a bad attitude. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service I don't get to travel and stay in hotels a lot, but I must say my stay in the Holiday Inn in Asheville, NC last weekend was great. The service was great, the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were courteous and friendly and the amenities were wonderful. Loved swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool and the hot tub. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends. The only bad point was the parking. There just wan't enough. May 5, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel We had a great stay ! The location of this hotel is wonderful.. close to everything. Our room was very clean and beds very comfortable. The only negative was the young lady at the bar .. My husband and I wanted to have a few drinks our first evening and the bar tender went on what she called "breaks" every few minutes. We got tired of having to wait for her to get a drink and just went to bed!.. Behind that this hotel is very nice ! April 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good comfort I expect from Holiday Inn The location was great, close to downtown where we went for dinner and right off the interstate. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet even tho we were close to the highway. We had to pay for breakfast as it was not included in our room rate but it was not expensive and the food was fine. Only thing I noticed was that the lobby has a strong smell of chlorine from the pool (which we did not look at or use) but it was only right there and not anywhere else. Overall would recommend it and would stay there again. April 2, 2013

My check-in time took less than one minute it felt like and the room was very clean and modern. The front desk took time to call a cab for me when I needed one and let me check out a little later for my convenience. In all, it was a great experience. March 13, 2013

The only negative for this location is the factg that it is situated behind behind a car maintenance shop and you have to drive by a large empty restaurant (which has been empty for over one year). I have never had a bad experience here but I suggest getting a room that is opposite of Tunnel Rd because it has a more pleasant view. January 7, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel but a bit hard to find This new Holiday Inn has a lot to recommend it - beautiful rooms with amenities (I love having a refrigerator & microwave in the room!), very nice staff, and a very good price. Our only problem was that it was a bit hard to find - it's back behind some other restaurants, and there was no sign directing you to it. Since we arrived at night, we had to drive up and down the street a few times before we could figure out how to get to it - we could see the actual hotel from the street, but not how to access it. I would suggest a sign placed on the main road would be helpful. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel to anyone - it wasn't far from downtown Asheville and only a few miles from the Biltmore, which was our primary reason for travelling to Asheville. Was given a great military rate and then upgraded, per my platinum status, to a suite. Had some business to tend to while there, and the staff was very helpful. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Asheville a great stay This hotel is new, stylish and comfortable. The entrance is a bit tricky, though. Unfortunately, there is a very run down hotel next door which could be viewed from my window. The Holiday Inn was in a good location as far as highway access and local restaurants.
