The breakfast buffet was good - it was free. Room and hotel very clean. Easy to get to the hotel. Our room was on the front side so there was some hightway noise but not to bad. We eat dinner at the hotel one night - not very impressed - the food was ok. Other nights we eat out. July 19, 2014

We had to be at Mission at 7:00 the next morning! After those teens left the pool, I am sure it was very late! We got very little sleep. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Biltmore Visit I picked this hotel due to its close proximity to the Biltmore estate, which was our primary reason for visiting. We were very pleased with the hotel and the surrounding area. Close to Asheville and many fine restaurants. We would definitely stay here again should we choose to visit or we definitely would recommend to our friends and family. The AC unit shut off a couple of times during the first night but we figured out it had to be turned all the way up in order to stay on or come on when the room temp rose. Other than that, we knew it was a pet friendly hotel and saw many dogs but we never heard a peep from them so it was never an issue with us. The walking trail was cute and obviously a great spot to walk the dog, but we enjoyed getting out early one morning and walking it before breakfast. Great selection of foods to choose from at the complimentary breakfast, we never left the table hungry. Great job to all the wonderful staff for making our visit a memorable one. July 17, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place for pet owners We very seldom bring our two dogs on trips with us but the experience here at the Holiday Inn-Biltmore East may have changed our minds. Absolutely LOVED the Dogwood Trail connected to the property. We take our dogs hiking all the time and they loved it just as much. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were very clean, the full hot breakfast buffet in the morning was great (not your typical continental hotel breakfasts) and getting into downtown Asheville and to the Blue Ridge Pkwy (very close to the hotel) was a breeze. The live music on the bar patio was an added treat. Brad is a very talented musician and I wish him all the best in his music career! Thanks for a terrific weekend getaway!!! July 15, 2014

Delicious, hot, free breakfast complete with made to order waffles topped with fruit and syrup and bottomless coffee refills. Attractive "owl themed" lounge/dining area. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by It could be worse I was a given a mountain view room as requested but apparently that meant facing a concrete wall and AC units. When I informed the front staff, they were very apathetic and didn't seemed to care at all. It could have been worse. The room was also dirty with furniture that was in desperate need of repair or replacement and it felt as if the beds were on their last legs. It could have been worse. I will point out though that the kitchen staff was impressive with both the selection of items and the ease with which they seemed to accommodate the rush of people at once. At the end of the day, I wouldn't recommend this hotel and will be staying at the other property on the west side when I return to Asheville so that I don't have to consider how much worse it could be. This IHG property was one of the best I have stayed at. They even have a nice walking trail behind the hotel. They welcomed both me and my pet Lab "Molly". July 12, 2014

The pillows were fantastic. Service was friendly and fast. The front desk folks were very helpful. The free breakfast bar had many choices, hot too! Great service there too. Close to Ashville. Would recommend a stay here. The pool was relaxing, clean, and had a great view of the mountains. Traveled with kids, and this hotel was very kid friendly. Did not bring our dog - but saw many. The hotel is very clean and had great festive decorations for the Fourth of July. Beds were very comfortable with quick and timely maid service in the morning. Its rate that you leave for breakfast and return to find the room already cleaned. Breakfast was a great continental breakfast. This is one of my favorite Holiday Inn's anywhere. July 9, 2014

Having never been there before, I was uncertain about the various hotels being offered online. I turned to the Holiday Inn, as my experiences with them in the past have been mostly positive, and they usually offer a clean hotel, safe atmosphere, suitable amenities, and good location. I was not disappointed with our subsequent stay. The hotel was very nice, clean, well located, and the food and service were well above average. We utilized the swimming pool the afternoon of our arrival, ate dinner in the restaurant, and then breakfast the next day. The food was excellent. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful. If I ever return to Asheville, I would be happy to stay at the Holiday Inn again. Highly recommended. July 4, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb Customer Service I checked in on Thursday night, June 26th and was warmly greeted by Dori and Betty who were stationed at the front desk. These two gals were absolutely superb at what they do when checking in visitors to the Ashville area. Not only did they provide me with a great check in experience, I watched them prior to me checking in and a couple of other times that evening when I was near the front lobby. I spend about 100 nights a year almost exclusively at IHG properties and these two individuals are two of the best I've ever had the pleasure to work with during the check in process. They were very well informed of their duties, knowledgeable of their responsibilities, and maintained a great attitude with a smile on their face the whole time. I'll be making plans to stay at this Holiday Inn whenever I'm back in the Asheville area. Ron June 30, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff But Very Noisy AC This is a nice hotel with a great staff. We requested a quiet room on high floor on back side of hotel, away from highway, and got an excellent room location. Sadly, though, we could not sleep because the window AC in the room next door cycled on and off all night long. This even though we had a nice rain that afternoon and the evening was not very warm. We did not use our AC and we were comfortable, but tried to gut it out rather than complain about our neighbors AC. In addition to the noise, the machine actually caused the headboard on our bed to vibrate when it came on - and it ran for about 10-12 minutes before cycling off for a few minutes, all night long. The bed and TV were like new, and the bathroom had been renovated. So, for an older hotel it is in petty good shape. Unfortunately, the window AC systems are much too noisy for us. June 24, 2014

The rooms are in need of a makeover and I had to clean a lot of hair off of the hair dryer from the previous guests. Bed skirt was ripped. Towels were awful. Pillows and blankets were paper thin. The staff was excellent and that is the only reason I would see for booking this hotel over others at the same rate. They were friendly and helpful, couldn't ask for more of the staff. June 19, 2014
