Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK but probably won't return One of our most unique hotel stays for sure! At check-in, as one of us walks with a crutch we were asked if we would like a room close to the elevator - said "sure"! What an amazing sight met us on entering the room just on the corner of the 2nd floor (be sure to ask for it haha)! It has an interior balcony which overlooks the front desk area!!! Furthermore as the evening wore on, we kept wondering why we were hearing the sound of so many children at that hour and finally took a long look and discovered the POOL is also in the front lobby area!!! We decided this was just too funny and accepted it. But seriously we slept ok - fairly comfortable, reasonably clean, decent location rt off the freeway and the staff were very friendly so on a booked-up weekend we were glad to have beds. But we have stayed in far nicer Holiday Inns for the same or a bit less . This one could use a little updating. But hey how often do you have a balcony which allows you to watch the front desk staff? Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Biltmore West We were at the Holiday Inn for just one evening this trip. The front desk normally acknowledges my Platinum status and offer a choice of amenities. This time they did not. The bed we had was unusually soft. For one evening, it was fine, but if we were there for three or more nights, I would have had a very stiff back. On other occasions at this hotel, we did have rooms with firmer mattresses. May 12, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Musty dirty room with loud AC that barely worked I am a longtime IHG Reward member, try to stay in Holiday Inn properties whenever possible because they are usually so well kept, and excellent values. Cannot say that about this property. Understand that hotels near the Biltmore are expensive, but to be charged 2.5 times the normal rate for a room that was so disgusting we didn't even want step on the shower floor, that is simply not acceptable.
