One individual at the front desk was friendly and helpful while the others that encountered, in my opinion, needed training. Before you ask, yes, I have worked in the hospitality industry in management and I know what to look for.
Housekeeping staff was friendly and too concerned with the time alloted to clean a room.

I thought the front desk employee needs to learn how to smile!! Smiling goes a long way to make someone feel welcome. She was not friendly on check in or on check out. I also think better room assignments when someone is renting the suite (having strangers adjacent to suite was ridiculous). We did not need the entire group together but at least the two adjacent rooms should have been by our group and not strangers. Although we did get free breakfast, I think it should always be included. Was disappointed in the bar hours but was told Asheville is different re: bars on Sundays.

My son, his spouse, daughter and spouse and grandchildren stayed at the Holiday Inn Asheville - Biltmore West for an extended weekend. We were greeted by a friendly staff and had a wonderful time. The kids loved the pool and we spent most of the weekend at the hotel. The head server for breakfast was the best. She treated us like we were her best friends. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Asheville.
