Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A disappointing surprise. The room was very cold when I arrived in the evening and the heating did not work properly. I had to contact reception who provided an additional heater which brought the room temp. to a comfortable level by 23h00. (I had planned to work on some reports in my room, the chill in the room made working uncomfortable). In the morning the shower was clogged and I found myself mopping up the bathroom after my shower. Upon check-out, the attendant apologized in a friendly manner but offered no solution to the problems I had encountered. I would have expected more from Holiday Inn. February 1, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfectly acceptable but don't expect internet This is a good example of what to expect from Holiday Inn's except for the internet. Pleasant check in with a good comfortable room and good food choices including January healthy options. The only issue was internet, you expect to be able to check emails, facebook etc but not stream movies, however this was so slow Even emails did not open. The standard excuse "we're very busy so everyones using it" is not acceptable today, get faster servers, more routers but give guests a reasonable connection, don't offer it free just to ensure that service is so bad guests need to pay for fast connection January 26, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by In room aircon noisy Overall very happy with Holiday Inn and this hotel. The rooms are little tired and can do with a refurb. Recent bathroom refurb is very nice. Two minor complaints: (1) some rooms aircon is noisy, (2) a power socket nearer the bed would be useful. January 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel OK hotel though have removed all the baths from the rooms during what can only be described as a budget refit. Not everyone wants a shower!! Staff are friendly though sometimes hard to understand due to the high level of Europeans! Room service is expensive, tends to arrive cold and not as ordered. Where Zero out of Two on this trip. £4.95 to carry a tray is a bit steep. Duvets are very thin and hardly cover the bed. Room temperature not very good as only have air con to heat as well. Free broadband is a waste of time, is so slow cant be used for more than email and id the hotel is full not even that. Overall average hotel, tends to be expensive are better near by and the rooms have baths and showers. if it wasn't for the points would use another hotel that's very near by. January 11, 2016
