Would have liked a takeaway breakfast rather than having to eat and drink quickly for an early start. Would definitely consider package again May 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient, Clean This is our 1st choice hotel when staying in Ashford for family events and we are always part of a big family group of approx 25 people. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is not bad. On this occasion I had to drop my score to reflect the breakfast service. The breakfast area was very busy the morning we used it. Food was running out, hot food was slow to come out; ordered food was slow to deliver. But I think it was because there did not seem to be enough staff as could only see 3 girls trying to serve and take food orders, and two chefs coming out and looking at the buffet. May 20, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprisingly nice Ashford Central Holiday Inn really exceeded my expectations. No it's not a 5* stay in a posh hotel - but it was a pleasant looking building in well maintained grounds with some beautiful features in the breakfast room where wooden beams are exposed and huge chandeliers hang from the ceiling. The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was nice enough; the carpet was a bit tired looking but everything else was in good condition and modern, with everything you would need such as a trouser press, hanging space, suitcase holder, dressing table etc - all clean and tidy, thick blackout curtains, very comfortable bed, good hot fixed shower and a separate handheld shower as well, which is rare! The air conditioning worked very well both to warm the room and cool it. The breakfast was excellent - with crispy bacon, all the trimmings and lovely attentive staff that made you feel nothing was too much trouble. All in all, a surprisingly lovely stay and very good value for money. May 20, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shop till you drop At the last minute my daughter and I decided to visit England as I had run out of teabags (well that was my excuse to the wife). We travelled via the eurotunnel and needed a good hotel near to Folkestone so that my daughter could do all the clothes shopping she needed. The booking procedure was clear and easy (did necessitate one phone to accomplish everything online). Service was very good and we had a wonderful short stay. May 17, 2015
