Lady at check in was not at all friendly, the next day she was in a better mood :-) I travel a lot in the USA and as a platinum member I get a suite if available. I asked if there was a possibility for a suite and the lady at front desk said there are no suites, only family rooms while a stayed in a suite there before! I realy don't mind if advantages for platinum members are different in other countries but am not comfortable with people not telling the truth. She said she had my platinum number written down but no points are showing up my either so something went wrong there too. The room was not super modern but very clean and comfortable, nice bed and good cushions. At check out the lady at frond desk was friendly. Breakfast was good, a nice variety, fresh and perfectly baked! January 1, 2015

Room was comfortable, but general feel of common areas of Hotel was of rather cheap furnishings/decor and more could have been done to improve ambience especially of the restaurant (also spoilt by uninspiring "chain pub" menu). The room's tap water tasted unpleasant (perhaps having been through a water softener). Suggest bottled water is provided for guests. December 31, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Having stopped on the night of 21st Dec I had booked a further night 28th Dec , when we arrived the receptionist failed to acknowledge Gold status except to say did I want a free drink or points, I was not asked if we wanted breakfast or an evening meal. We ate in the restaurant and my wife ordered fish and chips which she enjoyed last visit , it had to be sent back as the batter was soft and uncooked ,following it being re-cooked she found the batter still soft but as we had had along journey from Germany she took the batter off and just ate the fish and we retired to the room. Such a disappointment after the previous weeks stay. December 30, 2014
