Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by NaughtieWaltie Eurostar package excellent; Room quality poor
For a family of 4, we booked the Eurostar package which is very good value and well managed ie in terms of checking-in/out, sorting out taxis etc
The room we were allocated, however, was under-prepared and uncomfortable. The room's temperature when we entered was a stifling 28 degrees and we had to halve it. The package includes 1 double bed & 1 sofa bed but we had 1 made-up double bed; 1 made-up single bed; and no bedding for the sofa bed. In addition, there were only 2 towels and 1 small shampoo bottle between the 4 of us. Also with the kettle and drinks there were only 2 milk capsules.
To be fair to the Receptionist, who was excellent, all the above was rectified within an hour but as we arrived at about 9.30pm, we could have done without this hassle
Despite all of this, because the Eurostar package is so good, we would consider returning.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mikster Clean and comfortable
Ashford Central is a bit out of the centre to be called Central, but it's only 15 minutes walk away from Ashford town centre, with a thriving semi-pedestrian area with interesting shops and good pubs.
The room was comfortable and I slept really well, despite the very thin duvet (I had to nick the duvet off the other twin bed and use that as well)
Loads of hot, hot water for a nice long soak, with plenty of towels and a room serviced daily to a very high standard.
Staff helpful and friendly, particularly on the Reception desk (Hi, Zoe !) and a pleasure to deal with. The maintenance staff patrolled the car park helping out with de-icing on cold mornings, and there's free coffee to take with you while you're waiting for the car to warm up.
Breakfast was wholesome with the standard choices to a good quality, again with pleasant service. The evening bar food was uninspiring, I didn't try the restaurant. The bar/restaurant was cold.
On the whole, a bit pricey when you compare against some top notch hotels I use regularly, but for all that, a restful place to stay when your working. See you soon.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by maxtrak Wedding caused problems
Our stay on the outward leg of a trip via the tunnel was excellent. Our experience on the return was the opposite.
A wedding function was being held in the hotel, which also had quite a few business guests and pre christmas get togethers.
We accepted that the Restaurant was closed as we had been delayed on the crossing, but were told we could get a snack at the bar. The drinks were instant and we heard our food being ordered, but over 3/4 hours to produce a reheated pasta dish was too much.
Having had a long day we retired to our room, which in fairness was to your usual high standard. However we were awoken by one almighty row in the passage outside our room, where a Mother was knocking seven bells out of her son and his shouting "Get off me mum" was concerning my wife.
Eventually he was put in his room, where he continued to sob & splutter until he (we assumed) fell asleep.
Another hotel chain has a "good nights sleep policy"
and refunds the room charge under these circumstances.
All we got was "Sorry we've had a few complaints - you were at the end of the corridor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Abz2202 Fab staff despite it being busy!
Several functions going on and the staff still found time to feed us in a very prompt manner. Lovely food in the bar, roaring fire, great wine. Cheerful staff..... Plenty of parking and a great room with fab water pressure in the shower (very important when your hair is as long and thick as mine!)
Would recommend for a stop over en route to somewhere or even for a weekend away from it all.....

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Food was lovely however we waited over an hour and a half for our meal and items were forgotten which we were subsequently charged for. We were refunded but no apology was offered for the wait or the extra charges. Charges were then added to our room bill for drinks we never had. Bit of a mess overall with the staff not really knowing what they were doing.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by atravellerfromthenorth yet another good stay
We regularly stay at this Holiday Inn when we are travelling for short breaks by Eurotunnel.
Welcome was as good as ever. We only had one breakfast at the hotel as we were away early , It is good value, provided you pre-book (saves quite a bit!). The food was good with a choice between hot and continental - my wife and I particularly liked the fruit starters!
We actually had meals at the "Harvester" across the road - again, good value for money, not least because we had some vouchers!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tezz Comfortable and convenient
We make regular trips to France via Eurotunnel from North Yorkshire, and Ashford Central is a comfortable overnight stopping place to break our journey. Formerly, we used Holiday Inn Express at Cheriton near Folkestone, but found it a little soulless with a poor restaurant. Though not fine dining, the restaurant at Ashford Central is better, but a little pricey for what is on offer. We will use Ashford Central again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heat33 Cant really find a fault
I stayed at this Holiday Inn for 3 nights and had a fantastic stay. The room was large and comfortable and had everything I expected in the room. I ordered room service which was prompt, the food was very good and hot.
Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dolly56 enjoyable stay, staff so friendly and helpful
We stayed here for 5 nights during Oct/Nov. The reception staff were really helpful - cannot find fault. Tyrone, who worked in the bar, was exceptionally efficient and very personable. We ate dinner on several nights and the service was very slow . I wonder if we would have got any food at all if it was not for the bar man, Tyrone, stepping up and looking after us! Apparently there is a new Manager who is getting round to sorting out the problems in the restaurant. It seems he has only got as far as breakfast! Breakfast is excellent and it is always worth staying for that alone.

Made welcome as soon as arrived in reception, the welcome drink for Priority Members went down well. Room very clean as were all locations. Bar staff brilliant. Breakfast was fantastic, something for all tastes. Could not find fault with any part of our stay.

We have stayed twice now at this venue and have found the experience both relaxing, comfortable and efficient. A very practical venue with a lot of character due to the old barn element which has been well preserved and integrated within a modern hotel environment. We shall certainly be returning.

we were looking forward to our stay at this hotel from the
pictures we looked at on the internet.
did not look the same on arrival.
not the best holiday inn we have visited.
our room was above reception we had doors banging all night
both nights we were there prices in the bar seem rather high.
we found a very good harvester restaurant over the road
as did most of the other guests. we will not be staying at this
