Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rudely awoken We stayed in room 140 which, I found out in the morning at 6.30am, was directly below the Gymnasium with guests running on the treadmills. I was returning from mainland Europe and booked here to break-up the long journey and get a good rest. May as well have driven straight home and saved the cost of the hotel stay. August 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT FAMILY STOPOVER BEFORE EUROTUNNEL Great rooms for families. In fact the rooms could have taken a roll out bed and allowed 6 to stay. Food was good, if service was poor. Few staff on, and they were often nowhere to be seen. Only grumble was that when we asked for a table in restaurant we were told we had to wait for availability, yet the restaurant was empty. Found out later there was an option for bar meals, which would have suited us fine, but nobody mentioned this at the time. So we had many kids to entertain for 45 mins. 20 Mins from tunnel so great location for early start. August 12, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tired but clean hotel I would imagine if it was not for its proximity to the ports this hotel would not be so busy. after a long drive on a hot day with family we were given a room with broken air con. i called the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do as they were fully booked. I went down to reception and spoke to the duty manager who was very helpful and moved us. I am a platinum member and feel this helped along with not being fobbed off on first complaint, I suspect someone not so lucky who arrived later ended up in the room without air con. Hotel very clean but generally dated and tired in areas away from reception and restaurant. August 12, 2014
