Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value Good stay. On arrival three notices were off putting i.e. one lift out of service, ice machine not in operation, room window hinge broken. Lift was re commissioned during our stay. Overall this did not spoil our experience July 15, 2014

The chap on reception gave us a very friendly welcome and gave us all the information we needed in a polite and no fuss manner he was brilliant. The room was excellent - light, clean and airy, bed comfortable (impressed by the choice of pillows) and bathroom spotlessly clean. A great experience, superb value for money. July 7, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Disabled We had not used a Holiday Inn before and were pleasantly surprised by the standard, given the price. We used an accessible room as my husband is disabled but not wheelchair bound, but unfortunately room 008 was a long walk from the restaurant. Wish we had known that and would have brought a wheelchair. We ate in the restaurant on one night and found the food good, also tried room service which we enjoyed but no where to sit down properly to eat it. Easy chair in the room very tired. Tried to eat in The Hop Pickers but unfortunately booked out with a group. The breakfast choice was excellent. Would consider using a Holiday Inn again. July 3, 2014

The staff are lovely and the food ofered is imaginative., we chose to eat at the on site pub place (wish we hadn't the pub place is the weakest link. We should have eaten in the hotel. In conclusion probibaly the best Holiday Inn I have used. Thank you July 1, 2014

We have never had a problem with the rooms or the breakfast. The rates are very reasonable and there is plenty of parking. June 27, 2014

The food we had both for evening and breakfast was good quality and ample. Staff were friendly and efficient. An enjoyable visit. June 25, 2014

We were attending a funeral which was being held in the hotel and even thought the situation was very sad the staff made every effort to ensure that everything was in order. If I has a moan I would say about the sofa bed in our room. To keep the cost down we shared a room with 4 adults. Double and a sofa bed. Not a problem because this is what we expected, however some of our party also shared but they had 2 x double beds, even though they were children. If possible I would like to see them better prioritise the rooms when allocating. Never the less it was a very nice stay and we would not have known about this if we didn't already have friends staying too. Thanks to Holiday Inn June 20, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient and acceptable Rooms are up to the usual standard, though even through double glazing you can hear the nearby motorway. Food ok but didn't think a lot to the pub which is part of the same complex and you can choose whether to eat there or in the hotel. Food and beer were fine and service good but it just seemed a bit scruffy. Wouldn't stop me staying here again but I wouldn't eat in the pub. June 20, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by spacious rooms and great beds Overnight stay on way to Normandy for D-Day celebrations. Travelled down by train from Scotland so very tired on arrival. Check-in quick and easy, room so spacious and beds really comfortable. Did not eat in restaurant but had bar supper which was good. Enjoyed breakfast, good choice available, and relaxed atmosphere. We stayed there again on our way back to Scotland and were just as impressed. Would definitely stay again. June 9, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stopover for Ferry Stayed at Holiday Inn rececently, we travelled with Leger and were picked up here and dropped back. It is a very comfortable hotel. Had dinner in Hotel that was very good. On return we dined at the Hop Pickers had a lovely meal there. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection. Would definitely use this Holiday Inn again, June 8, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid this noisy hotel This sadly was my worst stay in a British hotel for many years. It is right next to the M20 motorway so a lot of noise is generated and as the windows in my room (008) were very old and did not fit properly, it made this room both noisy and cold, despite my stay being at the end of my May early June. I had bad experiences with both room service food, and a glass of mouldy pineappple juice from the bar. I won't be going back. June 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Hotel but..... I have rated everything about this hotel 5/5 except 'food and beverage' - which I did not mark as I had no food. Breakfast is not served until 07.30am on a weekend which I found strange and not to mention inconvenient. Given the location of the hotel and that I imagine many people staying will be using The Eurotunnlel I would have thought that breakfast could have been served from 0600am as many travellers, again such as myself, like to stay overnight in or near Ashford to make a very early start. The hotel I found to be extremely nice in a lovely location. Room was excellent - very comfy bed and good room size. I would stay here again though not if I was catching an early Eurotunnel at the weekend due to the timings of serving breakfast. June 4, 2014

The Hop Pickers pub in the grounds was an excellent alternative to the hotel restaurant. For a change we ate in the restaurant on way back x lovely place x May 31, 2014

The room was excellent, quiet and comfortable. The food in the restaurant and at breakfast was well above expectations. I find that the staff at hotels can make the difference to the stay. All the staff I had dealings with here were very friendly, courteous and professional. May 25, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Disappointed The AC in my room did not work; front desk staff said nobody could service it until Monday (in 2 days). I had reserved a room with AC because I suffer from seasonal allergies. With the windows closed the room was very hot. With the windows open I had to deal with road noise and allergies. I had a terrible night. The Internet was so slow during the evening that I could not even send an e-mail. When I asked the front desk about this they said it was because the hotel was full. This is like saying, `We don`t have enough hot water because the hotel is full.`` When at checkout I told them I had not enjoyed my stay and why, the lady simply said, `Sorry about that.`` I have stayed in many Holiday Inns and am usually completely satisfied. Not this time. If you are in the Ashford area, stay at some other hotel. May 23, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bargain stay bed/breakfast/evening meal For the price it was acceptable, but I don't think we would want to stay there again. It was a brief stop over before travel on the Eurostar. Very large quiet room, but it was very dark and the mattress was very uncomfortable, no extra pillows available in the room, but the air conditioning was working at least. The room was rather grubby but the sheets were clean. Evening meal was over cooked and mostly inedible and from start to finish took over 95 mins, with a 4 year old this was not acceptable (we were not the only guests to complain). Breakfast was okay, a decent choice of hot and cold foods but not up to the standard that we have experienced at other Holiday Inns. Not child friendly, no colouring/pens/paper available etc either.
