Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall pleasant stay Overall we enjoyed our stay, upon booking we opted for the dinner, bed and breakfast option. The room was clean and spacious and had everything we needed other than a hotel information folder which would normally be found as this contains information on what the hotel has to offer, meal times etc. We took dinner in the restaurant, here is where things went down slightly, I have to say the service and the way we were greeted was possibly the most cold and unfriendly I have ever come across in any restaurant for a number of years, my starter was vegetable soup, just exactly what vegetable(s) I have no idea, it was tasteless and green, suggesting, peas, beans, broccoli, asparagus, even sprouts but no, at best the taste resembled parsley. My wife had melon, cut so thin you could see the plate through it. Our mains were fine; desserts were chocolate fudge cake, dusted with chocolate powder no cream or ice cream making it very dry, my wife ordered the Eton mess, yes as the title suggests mess but there had been no attempt to garnish it, it was simply ladled into a glass dish. When our desserts were cleared an apology was offered for our wait, what wait we had not mentioned this or were we aware we had waited a long time. Our experience at breakfast was the complete opposite, friendly service with a smile. Our experience at dinner would not deter us from stopping here again however we would think twice about taking dinner in the restaurant. March 31, 2014

On check in - receptionist was hiding in the side office and didn't want to come out, no doubt scared I'd ask why the reception floor was covered in muddy footprints and rubbish. Meal in plastic pub - food OK, no ale on offer. Receipt machine had a year date of 2000, I wouldn't be able to submit that on expenses, my auditors would crucify me! Fortunately able to put on room. Room - bed sheets were too short, they stopped 6 inches short of the bed head, so if/when my head rolled off the pillow it'd be resting on the mattress, yuk! Wifi - would connect then drop out, so I couldn't do any work at all. Breakfast - entered via a still dirty lobby, most dishes were almost empty and not enough serving spoons for each dish. No glasses for fruit juice either (though these were supplied on request). Only good feature was crispy hash browns, something Premier Inn can't seem to do! March 31, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good overnight stay Very pleased with our overnight stay for onward car journey to Dover which took about 20 minutes at 7.30am on a Monday morning. Our room was front facing and traffic was a little noisy but did not affect a good nights sleep. My only complaint (if at all) was that the bar lacked a choice of real ales, either tap or bottled. The thing that struck me most was the cleanliness of the Hotel in general - well done to the cleaning team! The bar gets somewhat crowded at peak times, and a few more staff would be helpful at peak times - this is in no way a refelection on the effeciency of the staff working there who were helpful and full of smiles. All in all it was a really enjoyable stay and the combined deal offered great value for money. Will certainly use it again. February 24, 2014

It is overdue for refurbushment and the soft furnishings, chairs etc are worn out but the basic amenities are there and the staff are friendly. February 10, 2014

Been to the Holiday Inn Ashford North lots of times in the last 10 years, feels like staying with friends. Friendly staff, large rooms, excellent service. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight Stop We returned to the holel after being on a 5 day break with Leger Holidays. It is so nice to come back to the hotel and relax rather than do a 5-6 hour drive home in the evening. Arrival at the hotel, you can just relax, have coffee and a slice of cake before relaxing in your room and then have a nice meal in the restaurant, lie in the following morning and a lovely cooked breakfast is available and although there is only scrambled eggs on the breakfast buffet staff are happy to provide other egg alternatives. Hotel just a nice distance from the tunnel or ferry crossing. January 14, 2014

Hotel as usually warm, clean and very comfortable. Love the choice of pillows available. Staff very please and welcoming. Service in restaurant was excellent. January 14, 2014

It is not far from the Eureka Park with a cinema and many different places to eat. My daughter lovers the rooms as she has her own space and also a desk area to work on if necessary. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight stay before coach trip to Europe We drove down from the North in awful conditions and were able to relax overnight before joining a coach trip to Europe. We enjoyed an excellent meal and a good night's sleep before being picked up by our Leger coach to cross the channel and onward journey. We were able to leave our car safely parked and protected here whilst we were away for collection on our return. January 5, 2014

Compared very favourably with the Ramada and Novotel hotels which we stayed in recently in Germany and Belgium respectively. January 3, 2014
