Pleasant surroundings, pity not nearer centre. Room had noise externally from traffic. Would however use again, but ensure quieter room.

We had a very pleasant stay as always. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the room was excellent.

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn dozens of times. We like the peace, large comfortable rooms and excellent staff.
The ability to access food and leave with a hearty breakfast is what is expected and what, in the past, has been delivered.
This time we had difficulty getting an evening meal in the "Hop-pickers" as it was commandeered by a coach party staying at the hotel. The bar staff were very polite and agreed to serve us, as long as we vacated our table by 7pm. Food was good but time pressure was unacceptable after a 350 mile drive.
Breakfast was not acceptable. Again, we believe, due to the pressure of dealing with 2 coach parties and lack of an appropriate number of staff.
My wife's food from the buffet was cold or lukewarm. The go and get your own coffee from a "station" signifies a real drop in standards especially when the "station" had no cups or saucers. These were supplied on request by an apologetic, polite but obviously overworked waitress.
If this had been our first visit we would not been returning.
We paid extra for breakfast - and feel hard done by.
As a Rewards Club Member I was entitled to free wifi. This was accessible in reception but not in room 118. Also Radio 4 was not accessible in the room when we arrived.
The staff throughout were delightful and helpful but standards are dropping at this 3* hotel.
