Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by IamJill good room and good location
my room was wonderful. everything was very satisfactory except the pool was out of commission. but some things can't be helped, it was a weather related issue I think, but they were also doing construction which did not hinder my stay at all. it was in a wonderful location to my needs and I was able to walk to all my functions. the breakfast buffet was really nice and tasted good too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MomChauffer Great location and family friendly
This hotel was the perfect location for staying overnight before dropping our daughter off at a UGA camp. Clean, safe, convenient. The only bad thing was a multitude of dead bugs in the pool area. Glad they have great bug control; but, a daily sweep up is recommended.

The property in under needed renovations - the pool is a mess and this location lacks a reliable shuttle van to the University.

An excellent Holiday Inn with excellent Wi-Fi reception. Great customer service. I stayed at three Holiday Inns over 6 nights and the Athens' facility was the best.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Peter50 Very comfortable, ideally located and excellent value for money
Recently I was at Athens for a conference (UGA), and made booking at a hotel which was off situated. Holiday Inn were very helpful in allowing an early check in (as I needed to check out from the other hotel). I had no problem at all - every staff was excellent; the room very clear and spacious. Holday Inn will be my first choice next time! Well done.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Guardian777 It felt like home
Initially, I had to change rooms. I called down and was immediately given another room; it was perfect. My experience started at that point. I was given complimentary buffet for my trouble. All went well. The personnel at this location - everyone from the front desk to the waitstaff - was very friendly and helpful. Even people who were not assigned to me were helpful. Particularly "Janice" a 25 year employee. She took my frustration personally as an employee of the Holiday Inn. Each time I got lost, it seemed she was there to help. The food in in the restaurant , was very good. The next day I ate in the breakfast buffet at my own cost and would do it again. The price was reasonable and the food was excellent, and a good value..

The air conditioner acted strange all night. Not really ever getting the room cold. Didn't bother mentioning it to the staff though.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Megazoid Finals Week
I stayed at the Holiday Inn for my entire finals week because I was moving out of the Athens area, and it was cheaper for me to get out of my apartment than pay for another month. I was so comfortable and impressed with the service, and the bed was very very comfortable. Further, the cable channel selection was great. My only "negative" was the shampoo made my hair dry, but that is IT. Haha, so bring your own shampoo and have a great time!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AW2013 Great Location, Rooms doable
This hotel is in a fabulous location. That said, the rooms are ok. My husband and I could smell the old odor of smoke from years past within the room. Additionally, recognizing that we were there on a busy weekend, we paid SO much for this room!! Don't think I would pay this much for a room here again. That said, if you absolutely need a place to stay - this is a decent option.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jowosto Executive tower Athens ga
We love holiday inns location, close to downtown, easy to walk close to the stadium, walking distance etc. the people there are nice and the breakfast buffet good. However the building is tired and the executive tower is pretty bad. Ac system runs all the time and hardly works, musty smelling building and only thick pillows, no down. Either this is the worst part of the hotel or it has really become worse since I stayed there last. Desparately needs a redo.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Zigzag15 Great location
Well within walking distance from the Athens attractions. Not much parking on site but the overflow parking across the street proved to be shorter walking distance anyway.(Crucial since it rained.All.Day.Long!) Overall I really enjoyed the stay and would definitely book again.

The personnel at this location - everyone from the front desk to the waitstaff - was very friendly and helpful. The food, both in the restaurant and banquet service, was very good, generous in portions, and a good value. I look forward to returning and seeing the results of renovations.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dragondawg71 Slow getting room ready
Arrived around noon, and had to wait in line for twenty minutes to check in. I was allowed to check in, but my roo wasn't ready yet. I know it was a busy weekend so I understood. I was told to check back later. I came back after 3 pm (official check in time) and again I had to wait in line, only to be told that my room still wasn't ready. After another thirty minutes, my husband went in again to enquire about our room, this time it was ready. The manager comped up free breakfast for our inconvenience. I just have to say that I'm glad I wasn't paying for breakfast, because it was terrible. Everything was cold and stale. We actually left and went to McDonald's instead. The one real compliment I have is for room service, after arriving back at our room near midnight, we ordered room service. Thankfully they were still serving. Service was fast, the food was good and was fairly well priced, given it was room service.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by eharp Check In Issues
Other than check in, we had a fine experience. We had a reservation for at least 2 months and on the day of check in - at 3:00PM exactly, we were not able to get into our room. It was a busy day, a concert and weddings were happening in town, but we had to be at a wedding at 5PM and were delayed because 'the room wasn't ready' until after 4PM. We attempted to see if we could get another room 2 times and only after I approached the desk for a 3rd time were we able to get anyone to provide that solution. The man who helped me in the end was very helpful but I was a bit disappointed that this option wasn't offered earlier.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by CakeLady Missing sheets
We were here attending a wedding. We had a suite with two fold-out sofa beds for our extra guest.
We got back late that evening from the wedding. Once we were getting the extra beds ready, we realized that no one had supplied our room with sheet, blankets or pillows for the sofa beds.
The next day when we checked out, I was telling the front counter people about this. A female that was working the counter said "We don't make the beds for you". I said "I know that, but you could have provided the sheets for the beds". She was NOT very nice!!!
We paid extra to have this room to sleep additional people and the room was not supplied well. I will think twice before using this facility again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by snb001 Nice Location, no bathroom fans
We stayed here for a wedding. We arrived Thursday. Check-in was easy, but then the young man behind the desk said I would have to re check-in the following day because that is when the wedding block started (Friday-Saturday). No one else that we were traveling with were asked to check-in on the second day. On Friday morning I went down to the front desk to check-in again. This time I had a very friendly lady and she said they could have taken care of it the day before. She ended up fixing everything so we were able to stay in the same room.
We stayed in the executive rooms (red tower). The room was very spacious and inviting. The only downfall was there was not a fan in the bathroom, so everytime someone showered the room would feel very humid and sticky.
The location was amazing. We walked to the bars on the first night and there were also plenty of restaurants to choose from. There were also some nice shops within walking distance as well.
We happen to be in Athens the weekend of the college spring break, so we did not experience anyone being loud in the hotel as other reviews mentioned.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hbiss We had a great stay!
Upon check in, we received a snack and bottled water for being a Priority Club member. Our room was clean and spacious--which was great for an afternoon nap. The bathroom was quite large and well appointed. We were just a short walk from Downtown. And as we were leaving, the head of housekeeping saw us, asked about our stay and if we enjoyed seeing our kids (she apparently knew we were in for a Parents Weekend with our daughter's sorority) and then gave me a big hug! She was so genuine and truly cared about our visit. Wonderful!!!!!!!
