The hotel is in the perfect location in downtown Athens and very comfortable. I was worried when I saw construction going on, but it never was an issue.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jdub1 Do not get a corner room!
I have stayed here several times in the past and had a great experience. However, my recent stay was not so enjoyable. We had a corner room with a corner bathroom - very small..... There was construction going on and it was disturbing. I only hope when the construction is complete, it will return to the pleasant place I had stayed before.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by goodparenting Victim of bad parenting and lax security
I had the misfortune to be booked onto the same floor as a girls soccer tournament. Rather than requiring these pre-teen girls to go to bed, their "parents" kicked them out into the hallway where they were causing much disturbance. At 2 AM I finally called security to address the situation. This only brought retaliation in the form of pounding on my door at 4 AM and scowls at breakfast from parents. I guess I should have called DFACS instead of hotel security, it might have been more effective. As it was I had zero sleep and felt completely betrayed by the hotel. At least they gave me a partial refund, but it did not begin to compensate my suffering. A hotel is- at the most basic- obligated to provide sufficient security to ensure their paying guests a restful nights' sleep!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bigdawg3 Loved the people, and service, rooms too small
This is one of the finer properties I have ver stayed at. However, the beds are entirely too small for larger people. The restautrant has the peotential to be excellent, however, lack of options hurts it. Example, artiicial sweetners. The ajority of those who use them use Sweetn n Low. However, this is the only brand they do not carry. Not to met=ntion the increased health risks with the other two brands.
The staff is absolutely the best I have ever encoutnered anywhere. The gym was mostly broken and the pool was not heated. However, it is so great in other areas, will absolutely go back.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by deidra Needs upgrade
We arrived late and front desk staff was most welcoming but our room was literally a hike from the front lobby requiring two elevators and parking across the street. Room was small and outdated but comfortable once we finally got to it. No place to eat as everything closed at 10. We moved to another hotel the next day where there was no construction and we didn't have to hike to our room from parking lot across the street. Unless it improves greatly, I would not stay again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by TReL Uneven service and bad attitude
I checked in with a colleague who I was traveling with. I had requested king bed non-smoking for each room and they were on the same reservation. They told us at first they had no king rooms but then they found one for me. They didn't find one for my colleague. So that was very awkward since it was the same reservation. They gave my colleague free breakfast vouchers for both days but gave me nothing (because I got a king bed). When you travel together you want to be treated the same, at a minimum. Just very weird and unpleasant checking in for both of us. Air conditioner in rooms was hard to get right and the king bed was fine but the other bed was uncomfortable. Pool was in another building. Construction also going on at hotel. Would not stay there again or recommend it.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brenda78 disappointed about pool and hot tub
The room was clean and beds comfortable. Although the fan in the bathroom wasn't' working.
Disappointed that the hot tub wasn't't working. The pool was not clean either.
Did not like the food in the hotel restaurant either. I do not recommend adding it on to your stay.
Great location if you want to be right downtown by all the restaurants and bars.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by thor1and2 Street noise
The facility is so nice and the location is great. We were in town for a wedding and the rooms were as expected. The staff was great. Parking was not convenient, but when the renovations are done, it will be more accessible to the tower rooms.
Unfortunately, our last night was ruined because of road construction which was right outside our window. They were paving and several large machinery was used which were loud. The noise was intermittent, so you'd just get back to sleep and it would happen again.
Not sure why right outside a hotel, it couldn't have waited until maybe 7am on the Sunday. Our friends in another room actually left at midnight. Our family who were staying in 4 other rooms were bothered as well. I doubt if we got 4 hours of sleep.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AprilC Great place to stay for Night Life
Comfortable clean rooms. Loved the choice of pillows (firm or soft). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is right next to campus and the night life if your into to that. As they are currently under construction the parking stinks. The restaurant was pricey for their breakfast buffet $8.95 a person plus drinks and some of the food was cold. Especially if your traveling with young children who don't eat all that much The wait staff in the restaurant was slow. I asked for sugar free syrup twice. I had to remind the waitress but she was too busy counting her tips by the time she brought to the table my pancakes where ice cold..
The business center is in need of a new system. There computers are really slow and the center is a long way from main lobby. Very spread out hotel. Would stay here again but eat outside the hotel...

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by IamJill good room and good location
my room was wonderful. everything was very satisfactory except the pool was out of commission. but some things can't be helped, it was a weather related issue I think, but they were also doing construction which did not hinder my stay at all. it was in a wonderful location to my needs and I was able to walk to all my functions. the breakfast buffet was really nice and tasted good too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MomChauffer Great location and family friendly
This hotel was the perfect location for staying overnight before dropping our daughter off at a UGA camp. Clean, safe, convenient. The only bad thing was a multitude of dead bugs in the pool area. Glad they have great bug control; but, a daily sweep up is recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Peter50 Very comfortable, ideally located and excellent value for money
Recently I was at Athens for a conference (UGA), and made booking at a hotel which was off situated. Holiday Inn were very helpful in allowing an early check in (as I needed to check out from the other hotel). I had no problem at all - every staff was excellent; the room very clear and spacious. Holday Inn will be my first choice next time! Well done.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Guardian777 It felt like home
Initially, I had to change rooms. I called down and was immediately given another room; it was perfect. My experience started at that point. I was given complimentary buffet for my trouble. All went well. The personnel at this location - everyone from the front desk to the waitstaff - was very friendly and helpful. Even people who were not assigned to me were helpful. Particularly "Janice" a 25 year employee. She took my frustration personally as an employee of the Holiday Inn. Each time I got lost, it seemed she was there to help. The food in in the restaurant , was very good. The next day I ate in the breakfast buffet at my own cost and would do it again. The price was reasonable and the food was excellent, and a good value..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Megazoid Finals Week
I stayed at the Holiday Inn for my entire finals week because I was moving out of the Athens area, and it was cheaper for me to get out of my apartment than pay for another month. I was so comfortable and impressed with the service, and the bed was very very comfortable. Further, the cable channel selection was great. My only "negative" was the shampoo made my hair dry, but that is IT. Haha, so bring your own shampoo and have a great time!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AW2013 Great Location, Rooms doable
This hotel is in a fabulous location. That said, the rooms are ok. My husband and I could smell the old odor of smoke from years past within the room. Additionally, recognizing that we were there on a busy weekend, we paid SO much for this room!! Don't think I would pay this much for a room here again. That said, if you absolutely need a place to stay - this is a decent option.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jowosto Executive tower Athens ga
We love holiday inns location, close to downtown, easy to walk close to the stadium, walking distance etc. the people there are nice and the breakfast buffet good. However the building is tired and the executive tower is pretty bad. Ac system runs all the time and hardly works, musty smelling building and only thick pillows, no down. Either this is the worst part of the hotel or it has really become worse since I stayed there last. Desparately needs a redo.

Well within walking distance from the Athens attractions. Not much parking on site but the overflow parking across the street proved to be shorter walking distance anyway.(Crucial since it rained.All.Day.Long!) Overall I really enjoyed the stay and would definitely book again.
