The room was updated with comfortable distribution and perfect beds to rest overnight, before taking off back home. Everything was very clean and tidy. Mattress, pillows, toiletries and towels very well selected. A great recommendation if you should be close to the airport.

Hotel staff surly and aggressive when telling us the free airport shuttle was booked. The shuttle stops at 10.p.m if your flight arrives later, you pay for a taxi. You can't book the shuttle in advance and when we checked in it was booked from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Would not recommend this hotel if your aim is a seamless trip to the airport. We had to pay for taxi's both ways. Desk staff unhelpful and insisted any disagreement we had should be taken up with Holiday Inn.
Attempt to reach Holiday Inn customer care directed us to European phone resulting in more than five minutes on hold from U.S. to Europe. Gave up after second try.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by maraki1o21 Great for a night stay close to airport
My friends and I needed a place to stay that was close enough to the airport for an 8 a.m. flight to Santorini. We considered the hotel literally across the street from the airport, but this one was only a 15 minute drive away and they provided a shuttle the next morning back to the airport, and for a MUCH better price. It was a great hotel- very nicely decorated and furnished, the beds were very comfortable, the pillows felt luxurious; although the room did get very warm at night. Overall a great experience for a night or two in Athens. It was a great hotel but would not recommend it if you are staying in the city for an extended amount of time and are wanting to see the city - it's about 20-30 minutes away from the center.

THE reason I booked this hotel was for shuttle bus service to airport, only to find out upon check-in that shuttle was not available for my time needed. The closest time available was three hours later which was not goof for my flight. I had to hire tax for EUR22 to get to the airport.
Guests may want to call ahead of check-in to reserve space on the airport shuttle.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GPBT Mediocre - Expensive for what you get.
I made the petition 2 months in advance (Via Booking) for a double bed. We got a room with 2 single beds. In reception they made us wait 10 mints, and then they called back saying that the hotel was full, and the only option was a smoking double room. (No thanks...that was on my petition too: "NON-Smoking and double bed please")
They were NOT prepared at all for the quantity of guests: They know that everyone staying there is because is close to the airport (15 mints by shuttle) and It is in the middle of nowhere...This is why they overcharge everything, including the room...You must eat dinner there...and it was bad experience...2 poor waiters for a full restaurant, extremely slow service in the kitchen, and bad food. I had to change my order 3 times because they were out of ingredients of the first two dishes that I tried to order. And the prices, of course, expensive for the most mediocre food and 2 hours of waiting.
Extremely bad wifi. Small shuttle bus. Stains on one of the bed blankets and on the bathroom floor. (The stains of the bathroom were permanent, we checked them).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by vikipaz Good hotel closest to airport
The shuttle service was excellent (and free of charge).
Staff was very friendly.
The only down side was the price of breakfast, which was 15 euros per person. It was a decent buffet, but 15 euros is a little steep for breakfast (especially compared to other hotels in Athens where breakfast is included).
If you are looking for a hotel that is close to the airport (it takes 15 minutes using the free shuttle which leaves on the hour) then it is a good choice,

Don NOT stay here. Nico, the front desk manager was the rudest person we encountered in all of Greece. He was rude and condescending to the two families ahead of us. Every time we spoke with him he was curt and incredibly unhelpful. He was visably put off, and sounded very annoyed when we asked him about transport to the airport and back tot he the city center. The airport shuttle wasn't even running when we needed to get to the airport, the entire reason we stayed here. A small bottle of water in our room was 3 euros, every other hotel we stayed in offered free water since you can't drink the tap water. Water was even cheaper at the AIRPORT!!! Our room should have been cleaner. If you are looking for an airport hotel, stay at the one hotel closer to the airport, or stay in the city center and take the 5 euro bus (x93 or x95) or metro to the airport. Don't stay here, terrible location, terrible staff and mediocre rooms.

My sister and I found the Holiday Inn at Attica Avenue to be an extremely pleasant experience. The place was spotless and everyone who works there couldn't be friendlier. I honestly don't know how they do it. Our only comment would be that it would be really really nice if the hotel pool were OUTDOOR and not INDOOR given the lovely climate of Greece. We also thought that the landscaping/area outside the hotel could be nicer -- perhaps providing guests with access to a walking trail etc.
