The front desk guy was not helpful and made us fell like we were just bugging him when asking about where the best places to go, since we didnt have much time in athens... Now the guy working at the bar was excellent... He went above and beyond to get us a map, and point every single place he thought we would have time to see... also explained about the traffic and other things... very helpful...
very different from the front guy...
they should just place the front desk clerk in a office on the back,and let the guy on the bar take his spot...
The hotel is clean, bright... very nice accommodation
it is not close to anything, but the airport... so i think the only way to get there is really by car / cab... and it is not hard to find. (our gps couldn't find the road tho... it is a new road i believe, but it is pretty easy to see from the hwy)

The hotel's shuttle staff really helped us when we had sudden problems with a cancelled flight. They even waited until we had our tickets settled, then returned us to the property.
The only complaint was a fee for internet. As I platinum member, I just don't expect to ever have to pay that. It's part of my loyalty. I'm aware that Priority Club is looking to make it free in the near future, but the management group at this property has elected not to show leadership on this matter.
Once again, great staff :)

As usual (being a returning guest for a number of years now) I have experiences excellent service and am glad to see that this Holiday Inn hotel keeps the high level of facility maintenance and service. Compliments to the management and staff. I would only like to suggest to boost up the room service menu, somehow it did not appear as appealing as I expected.

I needed to stay overnight near the airport and kill time until a flight in the afternoon of the following day. What an excellent choice the Holiday Inn turned out to be! Nice clean, comfortable room and, oh joy, a kettle and tea/coffee! The gym, swimming pool and sauna kept me busy until the early afternoon and with a late check-out and the free shuttle bus to the airport it was the most positive airport experience I have ever had. Well done Holiday Inn!

An excellent hotel. I stay there regularly. The Front Desk staff are always pleasant and helpful.
The only down-side is the excessive charge for wi-fi internet use. It is a big disadvantage when on business trips in particular. It should be free for Priority Club members.

This hotel needs refurbishing, especially the restaurant where the carpet is very dirty-looking. The breakfast has always, since the opening of the hotel, been a disappointment; the buffet selection is fair but the choices seem to diminish over time, and the idea of service (shown a free table, maybe) has never been in the culture of the place. The dinner menu is OK for survival.
There are a lot of small things that don't work: the kettle in the room (any room), TV remote controls (randomly), shower temperature control (consistently), newspapers (erratic).
The location of the hotel on the highway is good for stop-over and business; the shuttle bus to the airport is excellent if your flights don't arrive late, otherwise it's a taxi ride. The public bus stops at the door which is a cheap way to get into Athens.
The hotel is saved by the staff who are always friendly and helpful. And the fitness/pool is nice!

It is nice to be met by a hotel shuttle after a long flight that takes you directly to the hotel instead of five other hotels along the way. This Holiday Inn runs like a swiss watch. Staff on the desk are very helpfull and nothing is too difficult for them. The room was quiet with great heating and a/c. The breakfast buffet was very nice unlike anything we are used to in North America. If you are renting a car to see the rest of the country, the hotel is located with direct access to the motorway. No need to deal with Athens traffic. We have used this hotel twice so far and each time has been the same. We will always use this hotel as a jumping off point for touring other areas of Greece.

I had an one night stay on October 2012, attending a next morning flight. This hotel is situated in a distance of 5 - 6 min by car from the airport. The overall quality of all parts of the hotel was of high standards: reception staff, lobby bar, guest room, indoor pool etc. The light dinner I had on the lobby bar was very good. Breakfast in the main restaurant was excellent either in variety or quality. All the staff was helpful, well trained and polite. Finally, the total price I paid was much more cheaper than other hotels in the airport area.
